    ‏I guess it was their way ‏to encourage people to go for the RF line as they have been selling the cameras without adapters for a while, even if you buy an R these days the adapter will not be included, btw the R6 mark ii box also misses the usb-c to usb-c cable

    This is not a beginner camera so they expect you to be past ef lenses. Just sayn. I do agree on the hdmi tho

    Frankly, it seems disingenuous to complain about something that you knew about the camera before you bought it. Sure, it would be great if Canon included these and other accessories with the camera. But complaining because they didn't and saying they were "missing"? Nope. They weren't missing. You just wish they were included. Big difference.

    • @VideoMakerTwist
      @VideoMakerTwist  Год назад +1

      I respect your opinion. However, I mentioned in the first seconds that they are not REALLY missing, it was more like a metaphor. I think people will understand what I truly meant to say.

  • @TravelingPhotographer
    @TravelingPhotographer Год назад +2

    If it was included with the camera and you already have the adapter (like me) you'd be paying for an unnecessary accessory. It would ONLY be a good idea to include it for first time mirrorless camera buyers and it's likely the R6 Mark II is an upgrade within the "R" series of Canon bodies. It would also be a total waste for those first time mirrorless buyers who never had any EF or EF-S lenses to adapt to the new mirrorless R mount.

    • @VideoMakerTwist
      @VideoMakerTwist  Год назад

      That's a good point, but I sometimes use 2 cameras in the same time to shoot video scenes. Having 2 mirrorless cameras, I would appreciate having 2 adapters as well, in case I want to use EF glass.

    This video had the information I needed. I'm not surprised about the EF-to-RF adapter, but I am surprised about the HDMI support. I'm coming from the R as well and I'm researching cameras to recommend for someone to use for a long format (2-3 hours) portable setup. I'm disappointed about the HDMI connector being smaller and un-supported. I think they will not be using external monitors on day 1, but I'm looking for a solution they can grow with and this is a real shame.

      Watch this video because I show the solution for the small HDMI port. You basically need a cage and a cable clamp: ruclips.net/video/voS6WqrjbBg/видео.html

  • @Sergei__v

    Not including these things is actually better for the environment, because the vast majority will never use these accessories. The adapter thing also puts the user towards either going for the RF lenses which there are plenty of or in case with pros who already have the adapters they need. R6 mk2 is their third wave of mirrorless cameras. We had plenty of time to get all we need and it's extremely affordable and capable for the money.

    • @VideoMakerTwist
      @VideoMakerTwist  Год назад

      I see and respect your point. I think there are many Canon users that would appreciate a cable clamp, because pros use external monitors. At least a cable clamp… 😄

    Can I use the EF-S lenses for filming withe the R6 m2 in 4K?

    • @VideoMakerTwist
      @VideoMakerTwist  Год назад

      Yes, you can use EF-S lenses with the Canon R6 II for filming in 4K. However, there will be a crop factor when using EF-S lenses on a full-frame camera like the R6 II. This means that the image will be cropped, and you will not be able to use the full sensor. The crop factor for EF-S lenses on the R6 II is 1.6x

    Canon can't even be bothered to give you a lens hood unless you're buying an L series lens and you think they'd consider still throwing an adapter into the camera box? I agree it would be excellent, but at best i could see them do that as some sort of bundle deal where you get other accessories in the box too for a mark-up.

  • @mrt9943
    @mrt9943 8 месяцев назад

    For info Apple doesn't do that in Europe, like in France, their Iphone 12 to 15 sold with cable, charger and other accessories; because France government does not allow any compony do that.

  • @lbeetech
    @lbeetech Год назад

    It depends on who you buy the camera from with what is included in the box. Even the Canon R5 has the micro-HDMI cable...I'm not a video person, so I don't plan to use it that much or at all...

    its ok to buy adapter separately. but the main thing is canon must do is that let the third party manufactures to make RF lenses. because without them i don't think canon will survive this mirrorless battle.

    I would rather not waste money and resources on something I would not need. Most people use cages with external monitors. And if someone uses all RF lenses, he doesn't need the adapter, but he would ultimately pay for it. Nothing comes free.

    • @VideoMakerTwist
      @VideoMakerTwist  Год назад

      Agree, nothing comes free of charge. However, there is a specific type of users, usually 40-50 old, who are more conservative and they want to stick to their old EF lenses, but still try a mirrorless camera. That adapter could make a huge impact for them if it comes right in the box. Someone commented on this video earlier saying that after buying the Canon R10, the adapter was in the box. Weird...

    • @sebastianberes
      @sebastianberes Год назад

      @@VideoMakerTwist Imagine how many adapters would end up as waste that way. If you need something you buy it. You pay for it either way.

    • @VideoMakerTwist
