Pickett threw a tantrum as if he had taken the Steelers to the playoffs and won a bunch and then was replaced out of the blue by someone slightly better than him on paper. Hopefully he gets to sub in or start some games in Philly and reminds everyone how he is not a NFL caliber QB.
Hurts would need to be hurt for that to happen.
Pickett averaged less than 1 TD per game. A 39 year old Flacco started 5 games and threw more than twice the amount of TD’s as Pickett. I think that says it all…

WR round 2, Dobbs or Fields will be the backup. They're not drafting a QB this year
they should, but lower, it won't cost anything and can develop, to potencially be traded if Russ get them to the promise land, problem is y'all are thinking about Russ as a step towards the next QB, in reality, if he goes hard this season, he is your future for the next 5 to 7 years and drafting a QB right now would be a perfect opportunity to get a potential trade value QB in the near future.@@AntiContradiction

Pittsburgh has been pretty good at finding value at WR later in the draft, I wouldn’t take one til round 3 at the earliest. Also need to look at Heyword’s replacement sooner rather than later. He ain’t getting any younger and it would be nice to have a guy ready before he retires.

It's not just Kenny didn't want to compete, the team basically didn't want him to start. He basically had to leave. He lost the locker room
He didn’t have to leave. Pickett could’ve easily sat behind Russ, learn about professionalism (which he clearly lacks), how to lead a team, and be mentored by a Super Bowl winning qb. Also anything can happen, Russ could be a bust or could’ve gotten hurt; then Pickett could play. Not only that but he could’ve been the starter again as soon as next season.
