  • @ArturiaOfficial Minibrute V a cool “analog” #vstsynth that hits the spot!
I alwasy wanted an Minibrute. It's quick, fun and has plenty of attitude, analog attitude!
How does the Virtual Minibrute V stand up to the original? Pretty well. It even has extra features that the analog version cannot have... like built-in Effects, presets and 8 voice polyphony. Yep, a polyphonic Minibrute!

I have the original, it is inspired by the sh101 and the filter is very similar to the Korg 35, perhaps a little drier, but we have this same filter in Akai AX80.
I use IkMultimedio mixbox to do ambient stuff, also some preset logic chains.
But the character of this synthesizer is a thick and massive sound, ideal for notable basses and all kinds of analog percussions, leads, brass, flutes... It's not the best analog thing, but I recommend having one, because it really does the right things. analog sounds from the 70s and 80s.
Very good for electro, miami bass, italo disco, funk, techno, break beat, drum and bass, hiphop, dub reggae stuff.
    Thankxx for this video.

The overtone type sub from the micro would have been a nice addition to of added .

Thanks...very nice. I just got it installed. And while I suspect that no serious synth guys would ever agree, I would love to see someone start building bespoke midi controllers that match the original hardware interface to drive the VST. Not the same experience of course, but interesting none the less. Not unlike the massive replica gun market that the Air Soft industry has and what companies like Ableton are doing with their Push platform. if I could have a taste of the original at fraction of the price, I'd certainly start building a collection, especially of the smaller format synths. They would obviously never replace the original, but they would change the VST experience for the better and I bet draw some would be hardware synth buyers in.

At least a generic MIDI controller with an oscillator, filter, amp, env filter that can be mapped to your VST. It can be done with a keyboard controller and a Pot slider controller. If I dream a bit each know and slider should have a lcd for identification (and value while touching it ) but the cost would be so high !

WTF, don't tell me the cutoff knob has stepped values? It sounds very bad when you tweak it at 1:00

I beg to disagree. I have both the MiniBrute 1 and 2 and also a MicroBrute in my studio and can easily compare them. The MB-V sounds absolutely identical to the original MiniBrute, at least of you play it monophonically and sans FX.
