    Bronny is definitely getting too much shit for being a second round pick but the media is also fucking him over with how they are posting him more than all the lottery picks which is insane just off who his daddy is is insane. he shouldn’t have even been a 2nd round pick . when has a 6’2 guard that cant shoot dribble or pass efficiently ever gotten drafted before . most of the shit he gets is deserved at the end of the day he is trash at basketball and is there only because of his father . i haven’t heard any criticism of him as a person either so it’s mostly fair

      Yeah I think how much they push him in the media is also playing a big role. If he was getting treated like every other 2nd round pick he’d be getting less criticism imo. He’d still be getting a lot of the same criticisms but not to the degree it’s been exacerbated. The problem is they’re pushing him in the media like he’s good over actual prospects. He’s getting coverage like he’s a star so people are gonna start expecting him to play like one which wouldn’t be the case if the media wasn’t adding fuel to the fire.

      Dude this is the nba, people used to be able to come to the league straight out of highschool at 17 and 18 years old and was expected to contribute in a year or two. One and done is the rule not the exception in the NBA today and they're all the same age as Bronny. If this was the NFL, the "he's just 19 (going on 20)" would carry more weight but the NBA is a very young man's league. It's common place for guys Bronny's age to be talented enough to contribute right away. Nobody tries to develop talent anymore, especially 6'1 guards.

      Bronny has had his ass kissed his entire life and has had access to elite skilled and intelligent players for his ENTIRE life, has the genetics handed down to him from THE GREATEST ATHLETE EVER, could pick the brains off of these people, AND IS STILL trash.
      You wouldn't hold it against against someone for not accomplishing anything when they don't come from anywhere and lacked support. But a person who has had EVERYTHING handed to them and STILL sucks? Oh you gotta rip them a new one. That's how it works.

    low great analysis i would just challenge you saying bronny isn’t athletic. bronny is athletic ash having a 40 inch vert @ 6’1.5 is very impressive.he has 6’7.5 wingspan and is 210 pounds. even though he’s small vertically, he is more gifted than other players in the league physically in terms of length, speed and athleticism.

    • @diggidy5367
      @diggidy5367 2 месяца назад +2

      His 40 inch vertical read is deceptive. It's how he jumps to obtain his vertical that makes his vertical a non factor in the NBA. One, his lateral foot speed is not very quick for a guard, especially at the NBA level, which is why he misses on steals and often struggles to stay in front of his man defensively. His vertical jump also isn't quick, which is why he never dunks on someone or seldom makes a play that would highlight this gift. It's like someone who's good at dribbling drills but doesn't translate well in live ball situations.

    Just to start off. I agree with you. I do not think Bronny James is a Pro. However, most 2nd Round picks are not so. in fact, the last 4 55th picks currently do not have a roster spot. Furthermore, they typically do not receive this media coverage; neither praise nor criticism. - most of this is mentioned in the video and all points relating I agree with.
    My issue with the video is the last couple of minutes. The conversation of nepotism is much more nuanced. Here are some issues I found from a Logic-deductive standpoint:
    1). Nepotism is widely championed and encouraged in America. - it's often shown as passing down your business to your children but this, despite the semantics or the feeling of validation and accomplishment, by definition is nepotism. Furthermore, there was a marketing push for this in the 70s and 80s to incentivize sought-after candidates to accept job positions.
    2). You also said disrupts the “essence of competition”. Most sales jobs are marketed as competitive. In addition, there are over 100 other jobs that are competitive that aren't “sports”. Moreover, nepotism also exists at these place as well. (ps: a lot of these sales jobs are hybrid with base pay or have a sales aspect of the job)
    3). Lebron being “a part” is nasty logical fallacy and kinda manipulative. Yes, he is “a part” of it but was he involved in selecting the pick? Was he involved in the contract agreement? How many years in which the contract was agreed for?
    We don't know and its highly speculative. But I guess he was “a part” of it. This comment should have been a part of the bloopers or the trash can icon on the lower left side of your computer screen.
    I had other fallacies but I think this comment is not content for a video I probably will never post.
    Love ya LOW and love your content keep pushing brother. You are much needed in this community.

      @damageseeker you're way off here. It's summer league, many of the greatest players in the league played horribly in summer league. Folks did this with Wemby last year when he struggled. Bronny is a development player. Like most 2nd rounders he'll spend a lot of time in the g league and just riding the bench for a couple years.

    • @skyjones92
      @skyjones92 2 месяца назад +1

      @diggidy5367 naw he was more of a facilitator and more aggressive getting to the basket. Idk if bronny will succeed but his college year was not a fair assessment since he wasn't able to get back on shape after his injury. Would he have gotten drafted if he wasn't Lebron's son? Of course not. But I think he does have potential. To be an Avery Bradley type player.

    It’s obvious at this point where bronny’s ceiling is but he can definitely carve out a 10+ year career if he fills into his role as do-it-all “Royce O’Neale” type of player with steady development. As long as he’s shooting around 36% or more from 3, can defend at least positions 1-3 at an above par level, and doesn’t turn over the ball with a respectable +/-. He’ll be fine as a rotationary piece especially with his athletic attributes.

    While he may not be at a level currently where any team in the league would feel comfortable putting him in a rotation, it is clear to me and a lot of people as to why he was drafted in the second round. He has potential. And its real potential. During the combine he showed a lot of athletic feats that others couldnt reproduce even if he was listed at just 6'1, he has a lot of defensive aptitude for aomeone so young that will only grow with more reps with stong and quick players in the league, he is more than willing to give hard effort defensively (even to his detriment because of his height he tends to over evlxtend defensively and that leads to him gambling and getting crossed often), and he's shown glimpses of a consistent outside shot at the combine and in the last 2 games. I think more things about his gsme will fill in as he gets the next 2 years to really solidify that type of role in the g league. I think he becomes a lot more comfortable on ball when he can be an attack and simple pass type of player or being an off ball cutter. Thats where his offendive game lies right now. Hes not really a traditional set offense point guard because he doesnt have the court awwreness to make tougher passes. He likes to get dribble hand offs that he can attack straight down hill from and i think that can be really effective for him to get points or make easy reads from.

This late in the draft never really has been known to produce NBa players. If he looks anything like one, he will have exceeded the expectation that comes with his stock in the draft. I don’t think people realize how low 55th out of 60 is.
