In these 'statistics driven' era, those players that mostly rely on just pure athleticism with LOW IQ and efficiency (live by the 3pts, die by the 3pts guys) will be exposed more and more.

We all agree that Russ isn’t a good shooter, so when you add that to having no time to gain rhythm, it’s no surprise he played that terrible. We can’t forget right after he left the Lakers, he played well for the Clippers just last year when he had main option minutes.

I think Kawhi literally ruined the rest of his career by coming home to LA. Obviously with his whole Spurs controversy back how many years ago, we learned he had wanted to go to LA (back home) with his Uncle being his manager. I feel like he literally is just not focused anymore. Some people play better at certain places and other people play better when they're away and isolated from those certain places so they can focus on their game. I wouldn't be surprised if Kawhi for what ever reason went some where else outside of LA and he elevates his play and possibly his availability.

Russ was terrible this series but I think it comes down to mainly play time. We all agree that Russ isn’t a good shooter, so when you add that to having no time to gain rhythm, it’s no surprise he played that terrible. We can’t forget right after he left the Lakers, he played well for the Clippers just last year when he had main option minutes.
Icl this whole vid for the most part was just him pushing his agenda. Russ had a great playoffs series last season when he was actually able to play as a first/second option. The whole season Russ and James would rarely share the floor together. With the Kawhi injury, Russ had to share the floor with Harden and play the 3nD role and just stand in the corner.

I think Kawhi literally ruined the rest of his career by coming home to LA. Obviously with his whole Spurs controversy back how many years ago, we learned he had wanted to go to LA (back home) with his Uncle being his manager. I feel like he literally is just not focused anymore. Some people play better at certain places and other people play better when they're away and isolated from those certain places so they can focus on their game. I wouldn't be surprised if Kawhi for what ever reason went some where else outside of LA and he elevates his play and possibly his availability.
Very spot on with WestBrick analysis. Yeah he was a terrible fit with the Lakers but also did nothing to help himself. His style of play has been on the decline for years now and he refuses to make any adjustments to his game.

I really only defend Doc with the 2020 Clippers, and that one year with Ben Simmons. Having to coach those types of players, I don't think we should solely blame Doc 💀
