- This here is why this project is so fun. I never knew this game existed, let alone how fun it was. I can only imagine how much time I would have sunk into this as a kid if we had this instead of the Mindscape NCAA Football game. Sure this one is unlicensed but in a game like this its hardly noticeable. You have the right colors on the right city/state and the presentation takes care of the rest. Its Madden with an NCAA coat of paint and for someone like me, that is all I need. Very fun and I've also learned there is a follow up on Genesis so when I get around to that library ill be looking forward to that.
Bill Walsh College Football on SNES was my very first football and EA Sports Game when I was a 7 year old child since 2008 I remember playing that when I was eating mexican snack Churritos Chile y Limón
I love stories like that

While these generally ran a little tighter/better on the Genesis, the SNES versions seemed to always have a lot of cool visuals that the Genesis versions didn't. Plus, starting with Madden 96, all five eligible receivers had their own button assigned on the SNES controller, while the Genesis games made you choose between three receivers (A, B, C) or a toggling system (despite the 6-button controller being out for years). I'm Kurt, I grew up a Genesis kid, and these are my props for EA's SNES football games.
I honestly think that Sega's aggressive marketing push way back when was so successful that it just became accepted over time that if you wanted good sports you played genesis, but if I have learned anything in this year or so with this channel its that there are a plethora of *fantastic* SNES sports games even outside of the EA umbrella. Sure it has some stinkers but all consoles do, fact remains that there is no definitive winner between the two.
tl;dr: games is fun, play em
@@sports_fix I agree, and I would also point out that EA games seemed to suffer the most on the SNES (in the bad instances; like we are saying, there were also good instances--I recently realized SNES Madden 95 might be my favorite 16-bit Madden). The Quarterback Club games don't have that drop-off in quality moving from SEGA to the SNES. I prefer the SNES versions of the TECMO Super Bowl games, too. Lots of good sportsing to be done on any and all consoles.

The music is so cute in this version!
The Genesis version is the best IMO, but this gives it a run for its money 💰
When I first see that coach talking at 4:08, I thought that the player did something wrong.
