Can only imagine how long it took to film some of his scenes with everyone breaking up laughing. The funniest scene in my opinion had to be the one where he played the (nearly blind) dentist who came to the castle to pull the tooth of Dreyfus....when he sniffed the gas and both of them were laughing - you could tell they were REALLY laughing....and his nose disguise was melting...laughing just thinking about it!

@@cw2256 Wow it must have been over 40 years ago since I saw that, but now that you mention it I remember it vividly. I remember our entire school was parroting his ridiculous french english pronounciations at the time. His lines were all famous laughing material, even everywhere in Europe, it was globally understood, strange when you think of the language barriers it crossed. Even the french laughed their asses off at his lines.

And the worst thing about it was he had heart problems back in the day and he had a heart attack and back then man not everybody survived their heart attacks ot to my back in the 60s didn't nobody back there know anything about CPR they didn't teach that s*** until about around the '70s and the school system and the fire departments in the United States at least will train in that technique what happened was in Los Angeles that had a lot of unemployed Vietnam medics running around and do the fire commission said damn I know a way we can put these out of work medics to work we can help each medic train as a fireman attached to every fire station in Los Angeles so when there's an injury we ain't got to wait on no ambulance and that's how the word paramedic got studied it all got started in Los Angeles and then later they started training cops in paramedic techniques I don't know why cuz cops are not interested in saving lives taking lives not saving and that's when the TV show emergency came on TV and started showing the wonderful feel of paramedic medicine and it caught on like Wi-Fi in the United States and Canada Mexico and then Europe started copying from us and we sent in paramedics to Europe and Britain and New Zealand the teach them what paramedics really were all about and it's been that way ever since even in f****** Saudi Arabia

+Steven Baer Steve Martin never wanted to do the Pink Panther as he knew it was impossible to do it justice. My dad is the cousin of Swedish actor Britt Ekland who was married to Peter Sellers, so I met Sellers in Sweden as a 7-year-old a year before Peter Sellers passed away. I never laughed so much as when he fooled around with us kids! Some say Peter was a difficult and angry person in private, I doubt it? Some of my most fondest memories as the young man back in the '70s and '80s was watching Peter Sellers and his Pink panther movies. This man just instinctively makes me laugh. He was a comic genius and he we'll go down in history as one of the very best..

Peter Sellers was the heart of my laughter as a child of the ‘70/80’s and was a small part of what made Britain world famous for our humour, just look at what we consider is funny now and how we’ve lost the ability to laugh, it’s a tragedy that now one seems to acknowledge! 😢

Laughed hysterically in my earlier years and became a great fan. He was a comic slapstick genius. The greatest duo comic chemistry in history between him and and and Dreyfuss. His Clouseau is simply the funniest character ever put on the big screen. And the bloopers are 1000 times funnier.

Funniest film bloopers or gag reels OF ALL TIME! My favorite comedy film of all time? Duck Soup, maybe, or perhaps The Man Who Knew Too Little. But, The Return of the Pink Panther is right near the top of the heap. It's a great gift Peter gave us, to be able to make people around the world laugh and smile with his comedic character acting talent!
