You want to know something terrible? Before the breakup shoe went on a ghost hunting video trip to a graveyard with Greg. He probably deleted the video along with all other evidence of her existence but trust me, it was just her walking around attempting to appear interested while Greg thought he was talking to the ghost of some Canadian politician over and over.
He also forced her to watch all of star wars and then dragged her along to the last jedi and they recorded his review reaction (where he threw a fucking strop) and she clearly didn't give a single fuck about the movie but was nervous about his reactions.
I don't know if that was typical for them because I didn't start watching till maybe 2019 just before the break up but it was definitely...a strange relationship.

My head cannon is now that Greg got rejected from joining the Freemasons.
As someone with a long family history in the freemasons he must have tried really hard not to get in because they'll take just about anyone. The only person I know who failed to get into the freemasons was this dude who got caught growing weed in his backyard by a cop-copter that flew overhead and he got arrested. The freemasons paid his bail (because he was already like halfway into the initiation process) and said "Yeah, you're not welcome here."
So, I watched a lot of Armored Skeptic back in the day. Basically until he started doing the "History is a Lie" series. Widely I stopped because I couldn't tell if he believed in all of this conspiracy drek or not (and now I know he does. When it's convenient for him). But this retconning is especially frustrating. There was a video of his that I remember distinctly (But can't find. I think he may have deleted it) where he spoke about the Armored Skeptic persona and why he chose to do his whole atheist youtube channel thing. From memory, he was a Christian who deconverted after learning more about the world and his friends and family abandoned him. He was hurt and alone and was very depressed. But he found the will to continue and pursue what he thought was the truth. And he created the persona of the Armored Skeptic, someone who could withstand the slings and arrows of the people who had hurt him. And that was powerful to me. Creating a character to survive where your actual self didn't have the power to. And this . . . ruins that. It's just kind of a shame to see even the relatively mediocre content he produced get worse as his brain seemingly leaks out of his ears and he sniffs his own farts.

I actually complained loudly on his "Lie" series in the comments because he wasn't actually analyzing the claims, or would make claims that he used to debunk. I seriously didn't know what happened to him or if he was just playing a character for views. I didn't think a debunker could lose everything he learned, or choose to be stupid. As someone whose been interested in the occult for a good while and been around people much more well-versed in it than me, Greg's videos have been rubbing me the wrong way that I hadn't been able to pinpoint for awhile until recently. Greg is taking all of this information rather literally, when pretty much occultism operates on the metaphorical and subconscious level in order to better improve the self. Whereas Greg us trying to peddle a mystical-coded, concrete truth that doesn't help better oneself. It's concerns of the material in an area where the material is less so a factor. How the hell does trying to find material truth of Lemuria or angels being advanced humanoids or when the world will end help your own spiritual truth, if that makes sense.

I understand what you mean although I study out of curiosity but am not a practitioner. A lot of the pseudo archaeology he went over in the beginning like the mudflood and others has been thoroughly explained by miniminuteman and other more metaphysical stuff by Dr. Sledge of the Esoterica channel. We just have much more qualified and entertaining debunkers on the platform now and I think Greg is only used to his way of presenting wacky conspiracies back when he was at his most popular. Let’s you know how dense he was all along because if it were entirely a joke he could’ve done much better given he’s spent most of his career debunking and years before that being in an cult himself.

Not the worst theory. I think that was the rejection that made him feel alienated from the skeptic community. Even in his old backstory video he said he had gone from community to community after they kept rejecting him. That’s what might have made him feel like he needed to leave the skeptic community and move on to something else, which was more general, vlog style content, then… whatever this is. Guess if there’s no one but him making his Wendigoon-gone-Spirit Science content, there’s no one that can reject him from the community. Acknowledging the movie and book is based off of Norse mythology doesn’t allow Greg to run around connecting all his weird gibberish together.

The videos he is referencing aren't from his alt channel, they were just not in the history is a lie series. The alt channel is an audio podcast type deal where he rambles for hours and fucking hours on end in circles, you can find it by looking at the connected channels attached to his main channel on youtube. if you need the names of those channels hit me up (there are two that..well they both ended up being the same thing but had some purpose at the start I can't remember.
