"Welcome back sir, you've been in a coma since 2014."
"Oh boy, can't wait to watch my favorite *atheist* youtuber, Armored Skeptic! I wonder how he's been all these years."
I used to watch him when i first like became? An atheist and then i found the Bible reloaded but it's crazy to me that Greg has turned into this lmao
I feel like after he releases this book, he's going to start doing like meetups to sign it and slowly gathering members for his cult until he can move into a Jamestown situation.
Having just finished watching a let’s play of Outlast 2, I have deep concerns. Greg’s got some Papa Knoth vibes.
He's going to try to create a sex cult, isn't he? 🤦
Jamestown? Like pilgrims? I mean they can be argued to be a bit of cult.
Jonestown is the koolaid one
17:20 Back in the video where Greg first presented that book, I tried translating and looking into it myself. It's not about what he claims. It is about how lightning is formed, and the book seems to be presenting the theory that it is caused by volatile chemicals suspended in clouds which build up energy through their reactions that eventually bursts out as lightning.
I won't do a full translation here, just point out a couple of central terms. "Fulmens" is the Latin word for lightning. The page also mentions "meteora ignita" which translates literally to "fiery meteors". Looking into that specific term more, I found that "meteora ignita" is in fact a classification for any atmospheric phenomena that emit light such as lightning, will-o-wisps, shooting stars and northern lights.
I immediately read it too, and it's sad how knowledge of Latin has become so rare that people behave it's like a magic language that is totally impossible to read lol.
This is exactly what I needed after the ukelele "apology" . In before Armored Skeptic's weird cult has a me too event.
Do you think he'll wear the helmet and film it, or use the stop-animated avatar with a ukelele?
♫ Guys, it's all my fault, shoulda ne-ver started that cult. Got my back, against the wall. Since I force fed them Nembutal ♫
This is honestly fascinating. Psychologists should do a case study.
I haven't seen him since 2017 so it's nice to see he's evolved from gamer gate reactionary to pseudo intellectual cult leader
As a gamer I'm glad I did not go all in on the path with people like this. Right-wing conspiracies are much more psychotic and probably would have made me more miserable than becoming a leftist. You can't solve any of your problems if you're being fed nonsense and spend a decent amount of your time thinking about nonsense. At least reading stuff like Marx and Engels is intellectually engaging and thus valuable even to people that disagree with it. This is meant to break your brain.
I abandoned ship on AS back in late 2015/early 2016 and he's become the exact guy he used to rip on.
Ooohh, Gamergate... scary!!!
@@Cancellator5000 The guy isn't right wing. He's way left wing, even calling himself progressive. Being "anti-woke culture" doesn't make you right-wing. Twit!
every time greg says "green" or "greenman" its like my brain fires off scenes from always sunny instead of whatever the fuck imagery he wanted me to think
every time
If you rearrange the letters of pepe silva you can make the word green man in Latin.
Do not fact-check me, just accept it as true and fold it into your understanding of reality.
Green man is good. It got me through some hard times.
Greenman, friend of the Dayman (not to be confused with Damon).
@@BaronVonQuiply”I am a boy, Dayman!”
Greg thinking Babylon came AFTER the Tower of Babel story is making me lose it
Why does he always do the same joke when it comes to him claiming if he's some mythological being or not. He'll go quiet, look off in the middle distance, act like he's about to drop some huge revelation then do a fake out. Like it was... Well it wasn't funny, but it was something the first time that he did it. After the fifth time I'm just worried.
I love how in the early days Greg started off by making atheist content... Look where he is now lmao.
The irony is _palpable_
@@elvingearmasterirma7241 The irony is not lost on me haha.
What he never made atheist content! No that was all an act that nobody understands but him.
Remember when The Armoured Christian appeared and then Greg said "Awesome idea. I'ma steal that in 8 years." ?
Greg is obviously the Prophesied Greenman and Im sorry that offends your Denisovan Luciferian Christological Satanic Annunaki, uh...minds
You know a video's gonna be good when it starts off with "did you know Satan was buried under a mountain."
You know how with the Balenciaga thing people wondered if Shoe is living in an ARG? Yes, both of them, they both do.
Also, as a history teacher, the Pyramids were not all built at once. They were built over several generations. Each one basically had NOTHING to do with the others except for the fact that the pharaohs kept trying to outdo each other until it broke Egypt. "Garden machines?"
I came into possession of a particularly powerful Garden Machine rather recently.
It's an electric tiller I got for $139 and let me do in seconds what it would have taken me all summer to do with a hoe.
That's exactly what a cob in a corn suit would want me to believe...
I was looking for this last night, found it at one minute old. Close enough 👍
It is amazing to me that Greg went from debunking and clowning on spirit science to pretty much turning into him. I actually feel sorry for him because it is glaringly obvious that his mental health is not great.
This is the first comment I've read that includes actual empathy for his mental health. The rest of them were ripping on him, calling him right-wing (he isn't AT ALL), and gleefully mocking him. I think he was stuck inside, alone, for two years during the lockdown. He needs empathy, not to be mocked.
I appreciate you recognise this since nobody else seems to.
It proves that not all of these Mr Potato Head viewers are just after cheap jokes at the expense of others. At least Skeptic makes original content. It may be wrong, but it IS entertaining. Mr Potato Head here makes no original content, he mocks the content of others, which makes him a bottom feeder, in my humble opinion.
This is lead singer disorder going unchecked
I've been a lead guitarist for over 25 years, I'm here standing on the speaker stack looking over at Greg like "Dude.... too far. Now help me adjust my sequins for the third set."
Bad Dragon should make a toy called abomination of desolation so that people can stick it in their holey places.
I'm am like 90% sure he's trying to to start a cult.
U didn't join yet?
Okay...when you start referring to yourself in the third person, then you either have an alien symbiote that has bonded to you OR you've gone a little cuckoo for coco puffs. Either way...SEEK HELP, GREG!
1:34 When working the Osiris shaft don't forget to rub the Ra balls at the same time 🤣
Corn fam, as a casual vod viewer, I just have to ask: does any of this make sense with more context of Greg’s vids? I feel like I’m listening to a person with delusional thinking speak to me.
Your question is nebulas and hard to answer. Is it internally consistent? Yes, he adds various conspiracy type theories together using random "bits" of "interpreted" information and weaves them into some weird meta interconnected theory that is internally consistent for the most part.
Does it track? No, many of his interpretations are complete nonsense and barely coherent. For example, he continues to mention the "woah symbol" as the oldest letter and relates it to both the crucifixion of Jesus and some apocalyptic sciency sounding event where a black hole sun passes through the solar system nearly wiping out humanity, and the symbol arose because everyone naturally said "woah" when they saw the earths magnetic field form a shape of a Y.
Okay that was pretty packed information and we could pick it all up and talk about each piece but its just the context of why this "woah" symbol is mentioned and what he presents it as being. He has nothing and I mean nothing to make the claim the Y symbol is the oldest symbol or that people in ancient times said "woah" as a natural reaction to awe inspiring events or that the people using jesus on a cross are referencing the woah symbol and its related event knowingly he just pulled every last inch of it out of his ass seemingly from nowhere.
This is one tiny example of how he will throw something out as if it is somehow proven true and has evidence and then will use that thing to prove other things he is trying to prove, stacking utter nonsense on nonsense until you can't even figure out where to begin pulling it all apart.
So does it make sense? If you are asking if it's based in reality the answer is categorically no and every video in the series adds a hundred more things that are utterly wrong which are interlaced in a way that is intended to build a narrative leading to it sounding like the ramblings of an actual madman. If you are asking if it might work in a fantasy setting as a novel or D&D thing then sure, you could make it make sense after all you would get to decide the oldest symbol was actually whatever you wanted. You would get to decide the solar system has a second sun that orbits through every 800 years or whatever. You could state the joker from batman was inspired by the greenman myth in your universe.
In reality however we can talk to people who actually know things about science and history and etymology, we can read interviews from the creators of batman etc. As we can in fact do these things we can find that often Gregs interpretations of these things are so far off base its not even funny. Much of its its invented from whole cloth and relies on his viewers never actually looking into any one specific detail long enough to be able to tear apart his interpretation and we aren't just talking history which could be argued as biased or corrupted by people in power, we are talking literal science he has referenced without knowing what he was talking about.
For example, he referenced in one video the Earths magnetic field "wobbling" as if something was pushing back against it from the direction of "orion". Any scientist that has spent more than 5 minutes in that field can describe what Greg describes as being weird and only happening recently as being normal. The sun pushes material(solar flares) and energy out in a way that isn't uniform and the Earths magnetic field wobbles as it is hit by that, this isn't something that has just started or should be of any concern and yet Greg presented this as some piece of information that proves a black hole sun was already approaching Earth because the Field was wobbling.
Hope that answers your question because the natural answer is: No, it does not make sense. But the more accurate answer is it depends on if you include being accurate to reality within sense.
Shorter version of that answer, from what I've seen: It makes some amount of internal sense, but I agree that it sounds quite delusional at this point.
56:23 The "God-Emperor Trump" stuff was just the right wing living out Poe's Law with respect to Warhammer 40K. They don't get the joke at this franchise that is specifically satirizing them, and are like "yes, that is us". Same as the "Washington defends against the foreign hoards" image from Bioshock Infinite, and the "why we build the wall" song from Hadestown
Knowing this guy only throught the react of this channel I'm gonna assume that this is an elaborate art project.
I hope thats what it is
Jake talking about historic incidents of cultural exchange in place of (or at least alongside) colonialism/imperialism reminded me of the “Expeditions” series of tactical strategy RPGs. I’m not sure what the studio behind them has put out most recently or is slated to in future, but in the first I player, Conquistador, it appeared that you could play your main character’s party in a way that would align with indigenous groups. No clue how well that characterization was pulled off because I didn’t stick it out out long enough, but I was impressed at the scope for an older indie title. I’ve liked the little I’ve poked around in its sequels, Viking and Rome, but nothing has really topped my immersion factor of being as close to an anti-colonialist conquistador that that first game allowed me to fill the shoes of. (Ramble over, but check those series out, or sound off your own experiences with those games)
i like how he says 666 refers to nero (which is true cause thats when the book was written, obv. his conclusions are wrong), and in another of these says 666 refers to a pope that lived 3 centuries later and the mark of the beast was "ash tuesday"
After 15:07, It took quite a bit for me to stop laughing & keep watching 🤣🤣🤣
I'm a bit fuzzy on my Greg lore (I had an edgy atheist phase) but I'm sure before he started his RUclips channel, he was in a very rigid thinking religion, struggled with addiction, and became super obsessed with conspiracies. Not necessarily in that order but he admitted to being easily influenced and obsessed with things in the past. He was inspired to start the armoured sceptic channel as an atheist attempting to recover and fact check his beliefs.
It's really sad that he's sceptic'd so hard that he's plunged straight back into conspiracy. Or he's just grifting.
Greg talking about ejaculating into rivers? call that a phallusy
So this guy, 50 seconds in, takes obviously methaphorical words, places them in the real world, and suddenly he thinks he's got the world figured out in such a way that NOBODY else has? "I'm not crazy, YOU'RE crazy!!!!"
But consider this: Green man.
“I don’t believe in the flat earth but”

Is Greg unironically trying to start a cult? It is one of the last refuges of the scoundrel.
So Greg is not okay, is he?
Still the wierdest Hulk AU fanfic i have ever encountered.
...wh...what the actual hell is "Valyrian sheepskin"? Am I mishearing something or does he mean *vellum*?
I like how Greg crams two unrelated things together, misinterprets all three, and then calls it _"My discovery"_ as if any of it were real and he was the first person ever to think of it.
"I was accepted to film school," has the same energy as those people who brag about their IQ.
In a year or so he'll drop a video: How I changed my skeptic channel into a conspiracy hub and none of my audience members cared (social experiment)
Wait, how did he go from being an Atheist to this!?
Shoeonhead.
Basically.
The exhaustion & frustration Jake shows when Greg is talking about the flat earth is the appropriate response at this point
16:00 Wait...Lucifer isn't bad, but the evil people running the world are still "devil-worshippers"? Did I miss something?
Like presumably it's the destroyer he means but maybe say that???
30:00 I got very worried for a moment about "seven brides preparing to marry Jesus" from someone who likes to imply he's a reincarnation of Jesus, but he seems to remember this one is a metaphor and he's not looking for seven women to marry him.
42:38 Is it that a pyramid is the natural shape a kid makes in the sand because it is a simple stable structure due to the way physics works, or because *we have a genetic memory stretching back to the sea peoples of Atlantis that were implanted into our brains by the coneheads awaiting the day that someone as smart as Greg to put the pieces together to rediscover the garden machines of the original true religion*? Think about it.
49:36 Didn't Nero kill Christians while blaming them for the fire of Rome?? So the fire happened first???
1:04:30 Wasn't part of the reason it was uncertain how much the rest of Europe could help Ukraine because they were so dependant on Russian oil?
1:15:25 SHOCKING: This protestant-raised person with skeptic in his username thinks the Bible is wrong and the Catholics are evil, tears what he doesn't believe to be a holy book in half. News at 11.
I can answer the first question, he uses devil worship (bad) to refer to saturn worship and says lucifer is not the devil, which is technically correct. The devil monicker is a title rather than a name and the bible has a bunch of people that were later lumped together as being the "devil" including lucifer, this part is not a Greg invention but the saturn worship stuff is.
Scholars have noted this before, but sometime in the middle ages the church found it easier to just name all evil guys the devil and tell people the devil reappears every so often in a new mask because dumb.
The saturn worship involves child unaliving so Greg points that out as the "true" devil worship popular culture things is lucifer.
Also I wouldn't be so sure Greg was raised protestant, he has referred to his upbringing within a cult like sect of christianity before and you can infer some bad things to people he knew, I can't remember much more than a brief mention or two of it while he trailed off.
Can you put this in a playlist? I am loosing track
Bro Greg just write s novel this is pretty sick fan fic.
I wish I was in a better time zone so I could watch these live 😢
49:38 How is Greg spelling N.E.R.O. with 7 letters?
Even in Greek, N.E.R.O.N. is only 5 but those are not Greek letters and it is the Greek that adds to 666, Hebrew adds to 616.
Isn't the "green man" an "it's always sunny" thing?
Yes! I wanted this to pop up and here it is 4 min old
@30:12 how's that monetization going?
The Roman detective book sounds Falco, Shadows in Bronze the Emperor in that is Vespasian though, not Nero who' was dead by then.
if it turns out to be some sort of art piece he is doing, and not his brain melting, he might be the davinci of SoMe...
i love this series, thank you
I'm not sure who told him that a Protestant cross having no Jesus on it was meant to represent the resurrection... Personally, I think if you were going to make a version of that cross that implied the resurrection, it would make more sense to have it be the same exact cross with the identifiers on it but show the entity not held down by the nails...
But the reason I'm commenting is because there is an intentional choice behind the lack of a Jesus on a Protestant cross, he's just wrong about what the intent of it is. One of the big sticking points between the two factions of Christianity, meaning the Catholics versus the Protestants, it had to do with the iconography and the insistence of having Statue representations of holy figures. The lack of a dying Jesus on the cross is far more about separating from the glorification of suffering as it's put in this video, it was a removal of a focus point of worship because even though it was Jesus, it would still stand in contention with idolatry.
Greg turned into the Linkara of cranks with this self-referential crap he's doing now
He's armored so none of the scepticism comes in.
I haven’t watched any of his videos and I was going through my anti-STW phase in 2016. I can say is what the hell happened to him?
Joey was a spinoff of Friends and that didn't do too well
Pretty sure that the English language wasn't around pre-Babylon. So i have some strong doubts that the English word "babble" has anything to do with the Tower of Babel.
1:02:41 *le gasp* Greenland. Someone needs to tell Denmark.
I would definitely read a fictional book where Denmark invaded the US in some future.
I have been in a lot of protestant churches and I swear that I have seen the crucifix with Jesus on it in basically all of them
I personally, have never seen a South African Protestant church doing that. But. Like. Its just what Ive seen.
Maybe it just differs from culture to culture?
It depends on the flavor of Protestant. Anglicans likes them a crucifix, Baptists not so much.
he definitely believes in the flat earth
I feel bad for this dude he has to actively try to not be cringe, it’s his natural state. I could never.
Nobody tell him about 4chan GREEN text.

Greg knows literally nothing about US politics, yet INSISTS hes a prophet
It's a shame that Greg is crazy now, but at least this is all good fuel for anyone looking for a fantasy book world.
Who is Sammy Ramis and why did Nimrod marry them?
HOLY SHIT I JUST REALIZED THIS IS THE PLOT OF EVANGELION
Like, the whole Greg lore? Or just this video?
What Does Garden Machine Mean? 🤔
Short answer, Greg presented a theory video Jake has covered already about a "garden machine". It includes a set of architecture that creates plasma energy at a desired location. There is a group of things he claims you need, a building at one end that ejects material into the clouds (sulpher I think among other things like pollution basically) Then there is a water feature, an obelisk and then a building that is the target. The pollution clouds create lightning that strikes the target and create plasma in a chamber.
He claims the pyramid of Giza is this and he claims they were built all over the world as well. The plasma energy, he claims, is actually god and people used it because it makes them "feel good spiritually" whatever that means.
Of course he has no real reason to believe this and has done nothing to prove his insane idea, he claims he got all of this from looking at an old physics book written in latin from hundreds of years ago that had a picture that he admitted fully he couldn't properly translate.
Welcome to the pain and misery of being aware of this nonsense.
Ho.
It means Ho.
Whenever Greg spouts his stupidity, I think NICE STORY BRO, too bad nothing supports ANYTHING you say.
Conspiracy is the Green Man
Nobody aside from fundamentalists believe the bible jasnt changed in 2000 years . What are you tlaking bout Greg?
What does any of this have to do with politics? I was curious about what people actually thought about this stuff.. but all discourse goes through this weird filter that makes everything... pointless..
I watched Armored Skeptic way back in the day when he did atheist content. I stopped watching him around the time he started doing anti-sjw stuff and haven't seen anything from him since. It's really sad to see the way he is now

I'm too lazy to watch but aren't Armoured Skeptic's videos supposed to be satire?
Well if you watched the last installment, Greg himself goes full mask of, saying the entire channel was from the getgo pointing to his conspiracy theories he suspiciously makes tens of videos on.
Nazi Gnostic and Esotericisms almost one for one Thule society beliefs and other prominent occultists of the time.
He stole plot of his story from The Mandela Catalogue
Coming back around to thinking he’s faking. The “Isn’t history great” was a little too knowing. He fully understands the immediate reaction to that is ‘this isn’t history’. He didn’t even need to say it.
He’s so arrogant, I think he thinks this is all some clever trolling of the skeptic community. My guess is there’s some cognitive dissonance at play: very high opinion of himself Vs high profile breakup within the community. How to regain control? Fool them all. Make them look stupid while asserting your own dominance.
Either that or he’s fucking lost it.
Ah, so essentially he's making all this wacky shit up to bait and troll others, leading up to a big reveal to make himself look like the most dedicated clever mastermind of trolling?
I don't think I'd be able to handle the radioactive levels of smugness he'd show.
I'm reminded of the kid who lied himself into a European tour, and then when no one showed up, the venues canceled, and the band found out he was a fraud and quit...he tried to tell everyone he was the human puppet master who taught everyone an important lesson about...... I dunno.
@@BaronVonQuiply My man pulled a Nikocado
I dunno dude he has dedicated 3 solid years to this, retconned his entire channel and everything he created before hand. Has a podcast dedicated to these topics that go on for two hours plus. And has, at times played cult leader with his audience at times telling them they don't deserve his videos and basically making them beg for his information. If this is a troll. He's trolled so much he is now trolling himself
Is it possible this whole thing is some elaborate fart sniffing act on Gregory's part and he doesn't mean any of it?
Sure it's possible and maybe he genuinely started out that way with this but somewhere along the way. This guy went off the reservation and he is never coming back
1:14 all three? Why not chuck in Eve, God, and the Holy Spirit too, while you're at it Greg?
This has to be fake. He made atheist videos before. He defended LGBT rights from Christian propagandists. What happened to that man??
