I loved your video. I appreciate the honest approach to the product review and the pros and cons you informed us in it. I will heavily contemplate on purchasing this product since I am renovating my kitchen at the moment and took the popcorn off the ceiling. This is why I research this product on RUclips
Thank you. I bought this yesterday to sand my ceiling before I skim coat it and thought I might be doing it wrong. Company really hasn’t got much for videos.
I have the seme set and I use this it works really good I don't like the mesh www.all-wall.com/Categories/Drywall-Abrasives/Joest-Drywall-Sanding-Disc-120.html?gclid=Cj0KCQjwmpb0BRCBARIsAG7y4zZksYHQ76VAAbFwKkw6FKdLsfvC4yqdvcBniJwMUmkj9R1Aru0vlVIaAtwXEALw_wcB
I'm so with you on the mesh screens, they suck! Even 220 leaves small ridges. I guess part of the problem is if you have a vacuum pulling the screen to the surface then you are going to get scratches. Surprised no one has made a paper at 400-600 with holes punched in it.
It's funny, I have the new Festool Planex but I still use this relatively rudimentary sander regularly for sanding joints, you just get so much control with it and I love the soft pad.
@@advicefromayoungtradesmant2482 I picked one up based on your review. Like you said, not the greatest invention ever to hit earth but it does the job within reason.

Great Video bud, thanks. Really helped me with some very important decisions
Can this be used on hardwood floors?
Have you tried the festool 3 by 5 vacuum hand sanding block. When you mix it with Mirka mesh its dust free. Its not as cumbersome
I haven't tried it but thanks for the tip, I'll check that out!
I have that and it's been OK but I find it too small. Good for tiny patches. The little plastic adapter broke as well so I'm looking to replace it.
I'm wondering, is there is a suction adjustment on the hose or sanding units?
The suction adjustment is on the hose where it connects to the pole.

Hi does the tool have a suction adjustment on the hose?
I'm not convinced this tool is powerful enough to sand a ceiling down before a skim coat, it's more designed for finish sanding not material removal.
What would you recommend for primer before painting the ceiling?
Not a fan of the mesh screen. It seems to leave fine grooves in the mud. I was hoping it used sandpaper but I guess that is asking too much.
Tried some 220 but it still left them grooves. I just suck lol.

Just bought this. It uses either mesh OR standard sandpaper.
Do you still use this circle sander? Or have you switched to an electric version by now?

Nice review, thanks.
