I've seen your fb videos, but I didn't know you had tutorials here, you are my drywall hero ❤️.
I to am a knife and pan person, for 25 years now, have you tried wet sanding at all? I tried it on a kitchen remodel in which the owners could not move out during construction, basically used scotch Brite pads and water, sanded like a champ and no dust, almost had a plaster like finish when done.
That is great. Thank you ma'am. I never knew about the pad on the paper.
Shorty, these videos have helped me greatly. I put an addition on our home a few years back,I'm on to mud and taping and with ypir videos, there's been A LOT less sanding!!thank you again!!!Great stuff 🌳💚👍👊
That is so wonderful to hear!! Thank you!!
Porter Cable makes a good electric sander. It's longer, easier to sand ceilings. I hook the hose to a big shop vac.
Good to know, the wall behind looks fantastic 👌
I have left old sanding paper on sanding poles and put new paper on over the old ones to pad and cushion the new paper.
Ayayay your dad! Haha. I LOVE my Planex 2 and AC36. I love sanding now. No longer a sweaty workout.
Great presentation Lydia! Knowing you are suggesting foam backed papers I will guess that you are not a fan of a) non-backed paper and b) wire mesh paper. Am I correct?
Always a great job sharing!
Another great video Shorty. I always learn something new. Andy 🇨🇦
Thanks Andy! Appreciate it!
Hi there just wondering for a level 4 finish finish. Would you start out with 150 grit and finish with 220 or 240. Would you get away with these 2 papers. For level 5, you would finish your final coat with 300 grit. Please advise.
My head has cushion but I can't find and actual foam backed sandpaper at my local store aka Lowes
Excellent advice. Thanks for sharing. You’re the real deal.
thank you!
Im a bathroom remodeler and don’t do a lot of drywall, and when I do it’s just a bathrooms worth so I’ve been using hand tools. Last time I did drywall I tried using a 5” orbital sander hooked up to my HEPA vacuum with pleasant results. Do you ever use an orbital sander and can you recommend a soft foam backer or foam backed paper to use with an orbital sander?
I’ve never used one - but you could try buying a sanding pad and cutting it down to fit on the orbital sander?
You’re using wayyyy too much mud if you need something like an orbital sander
I wish there were specific product recommendations. And perhaps this was a missed opportunity to put some Amazon affiliate links in the description box. I recognize some of the products but cannot find the padded sanding paper shown at 1:31 or the rectangular head.
I can go add them on there, some don’t have links but you can find most online at drywall specialty stores.
Where the heck to you get the hook and loop padding for 9”?
Great vid as per usual. Care to share the brand of that paper with pad on a roll? Thanks in advance.
Sure can! It's from Circle Brand and called SpongeBacked Sandpaper rolls. Here's a link to their site - wallboardtrim.com/product/sponge-back-sandpaper-rolls/
@@DrywallShorty Thanks a bunch! ❤️
Love the video thanks for information 💙💙💙
Thank you Nicole!
It makes me chuckle when I hear someone say that they don't need to sand
Me too! It's such an important part of finishing!
WOW! I love seeing some female representation in the drywall community!🎉 I'm currently mudding my garage as a starter project before I finish my basement. Do you have any recommendations/videos on how to clean the walls in preparation for paint? TIA!
Hi Ashlyn! Thank you! I would suggest removing as much dust as possible before painting. You can do that with a barely damp sponge or a very soft dusting mop.
Jika alat lengkap sangatlah hasil yang bagus...namun jika masih mengosok ratakan masih manual aku merasa sangat lelah...krna tak punya alatnya
Replace the foam pad on the radius with festool interface pads, thank me later.
❤❤❤Умница!
Yeah ! I always love it when " so called experts" say they never have to sand. 🤔😂😂😂
😂 right!

LIKE👍👍👍 👍👍👍 🤩🤩 🤩 🤩🤩 😇😇😇😇
Best tool I ever used for sanding is a young kid wanting to learn a trade. Lol
That is true as long as they don't sand too much , haha!
Hey Please add Turkish subtitles to videos
Will do!
