On the other hand you had the Clinton foundation, building shacks in Hati after the earthquake in 2010 from doner money. Charging $250,000.00 for each shack that was paid from the billions collected from around the world.. Contractors having to pay 1-5 million dollars in donations to the Clinton foundation to be able to get the contracts to build the shacks. That lost/misplaced WE money is now most likely converted to undetectable cryptocurrency to be used anywhere in the world. Trudeau and his wife, mom and brother being paid a lot of money and all expenses, thus Trudeue trying to give WE a billion dollar contract. How can Canadians be so stupid as to keep him in power.

As a kenyan, we appreciate the fact that there are people from a different corner of the earth that are willing to help us out of the kindness of their heart, but it has to stop. The truth is that our government is completely capable of taking care of its citizens, although they choose not to. Why? Because of corrupt people in power. And what these donations do is motivate these morally deficient people to vie for top positions.
This goes out to the lenders as well. Stop lending us money. It all gets embezzled and who do you think pays for them later? Us the citizens. And we’re already seeing evidence of this through excessive taxation in the recent years.

Their reps would attend our assemblies. It was always about money, not about doing good. It was a status and popularity thing to donate to them, go on trips to Kenya to "build schools" aka dig in the dirt and buy their accessories that were apparently made by women in Africa to give them a job 🙃 not donating was social suicide. during a visit to the headquarters in Toronto I was kicked out for bringing a copy of their prior year's spending available by searching their charity # and asking why so little actually went to programming and >50% to promotional materials. I'm just glad they won't be able to scan another generation of kids out of their allowances and birthday money.

That kind of a blanket statement is total and utter bs. As the head of a charity let me tell you, *everyone* involved is a volunteer. We exist to promote science & education, to advocate against scams and to help governments factor science, reality, into their policies.
All of our donations go towards those goals. Our financials are 100% transparent which is a legal requirement in our HQ country of Australia.
I am also on the board of several other charities, those are likewise volunteer roles. I do not believe in making money to help others, I do it for them not for self benefit. Indeed, I donate to all of the charities I'm involved with annually. That's something that happens regularly in this sector. These charities include ones that help in Africa. Including one that teaches business skills to the Congolese, helps them develop a business plan and then provides a microloan to start the business.
Most charities do amazing work. The overwhelming majority of charities are doing this for the right reasons and helping others.
You can't paint all charities with the same brush just because there's a couple of bad apples. There's bad apples in every industry. You certainly can't paint all charities with the same brush because you watched a bs netflix documentary.
Listen, the point of a documentary is to argue a point. Documentaries aren't news, they're not intended to be fair and balanced. They don't debunk their own claims, or tell you about all the counter points. They exist to try to convince you of what the directors opinions.
Like that time the vegan activist went after McDonald's in supersize me, only to be completely debunked.
Or the time the PETA member made a documentary about sea world in blackfish, using statements from interviewees in a way that entirely misrepresented what they were saying and was sued into oblivion.
Documentaries aren't information, they're an argument. They're a starting off point from which you should then look to credible sources for more information and form your own opinions from a disparate range of credible sources.
If you're just watching one documentary then taking it as gospel, you're doing it very, very, wrong.

I moved to another province and wouldn't you know i found out that others were supporting the same family. Same letters and pictures were sent to us both. It was fate i suppose that exposed it. They often don't know that Africa is a magnificent continent, with wonderful people. They don't know that Africa has 54 countries, and could dwarf America by its size. That ignorance gives people the green light to con people out of vast sums of money, and give local Governers, in Africa, a rich reward.
