I love the tape but I never use the sticky side. The first time I tried it I made the mistake of using the sticky side and it would not come off. Some did but much of it didn't. It permanently bonded. :( It doesn't stick to the non-sticky side though so I will take things that resin would bond to - cardboard, wood, etc. - and seal it with the aluminum tape and then use hot glue to construct a mold to my specifications for whatever I have in mind. I got lucky and had some since I used it to make repairs on my central air ducts. :p - Heidi
Oh no yep....that is some STICKY TAPE!!! I use it all the time with my wooden Claybord and aquabords with the resin. I pull off the tape before the resin is completely cured. If it's stuck to the wood, I'll heat up the tape on the outside and it comes off much easier. :)
Hi I've tried this in the past and always get a cloudy side that's been in contact with the tape adhesive how can I make it not cloudy after removing from the tape? Thank you
Some tapes have a little more texture to them, similar to silicon mold that creates a dull or flat finish. Try out some different tapes. You can try adding a top coat on the dull side to shine it up!
Interesting idea! I've used foil in the open bezels before, but I added a glass cabochon on top. (Thinking out loud here) The foil may tear, so I would seal the back of the wall too. If you try it, let me know I would love to hear how it goes!!! :)
@@KellieChasse im going to try it and I will cover it with a little bit of resin at the end hoping it will look like polished (because you are right, its probably going to tear...). I will update!! :)
Have you tried Aluminum tape?
Thx u son much for this precious advices !
@@yakuzaame :) Thanks for stopping by!
i work with open bezels. thanks ill try today
Absolutely beautiful. Since this was filmed 2 yrs ago, do you still prefer the metal tape? I'm new to this.
I'll often use packing tape for then bezels, but still like it for these thicker ones. :)
Hi they look great. How would I remove the sticky side of the pendant so it doesnt look foggy ? Like rubbing alochol ?
Mine dry clear, haven't had an residue from my tape. You could try goo-gone if it's residue.
@@KellieChasse goo gone doesnt help. it just ruins it further.

Does the tape adhesive stick to the resin?
That’s what I’m trying to figure out too. I assume it needs a spray.
I haven't had that problem. You can also heat up the tape before removing it.

My open bezel pieces are sticky when I take them off the tape. It’s only sticky on the side touching the tape. How do I fix that?
Hi Neci, sounds like maybe it's tape residue, try some goof-off remover. :)
@@KellieChasse thank you I’ll try that
I used that blue tape for my bezels and now some of the tape stuck to the resin any idea how to get it off the resin?
Hi Bev! Oh no 🙈. Have you tried alcohol or goo gone?
goo gone does help.
where are the bezels from
Most are from Amazon or Nunn Designs.com ;)
Can i use aluminium foil as a "wall" for my pedants? Can resin make it hard?
