@@dianeh2420 It doesn't give me an option for that?
@@daniel..cooper I think it says "NOTIFY ME" on our end. I see a few others use it to keep us posted on their next videos, but i have no idea how iut works on your end... Thought it might be helpful to members to remind them..
From the world of nailart i would like to hint you to multichromes and Unicorn powder.
As a nail tech & someone getting to grips with resin, I can tell you that you’ll get a better hold if you don’t run the powder to the absolute edges 😉 Also, get some angel paper, cut it slightly smaller than the mold & make that your middle layer, it looks amazing 🤩 One more tip, if you find that your powder isn’t sticking as much as you’d like, slightly undercure the resin so it’s a tiny bit sticky then apply the powder. Finish off the curing after. Hope all this helps 😊
Awesome tips, thanks Louise 😊 👍 Will order in some more bits soon 😊😊
@@daniel..cooper no worries. Naio nails do a selection of 8 or 10 angel papers for about £10 I think. I’ve got some & it’s good quality. You could also use UV gel top coat in between layers so that it’s really thin, you’ve got more control & won’t ‘poke it with your tool’ 🤣🤣
@@daniel..cooper I'm sorry, but I didn't catch what kind of powder you are using to make these. 😍❤️😍
Ohhh, aurora powders. Got it ??
@@Soleylou awesome, thank you 😊 I'm sure I will work it out 😊🥰
This is the flash that you get from labradorite and rainbow moonstone. This is absolutely amazing daniel!!!!!
Thank you so much 😊
yes! I thought I discovered something “new” last night with my chameleon powders and my uv resin, but Daniel has beat me to it. But I’m so glad he did, because he is incredibly talented!! 💘✨
Daniel, absolutely gorgeous. I love when you get excited about what you create. Thank you so much for sharing.
Thanks Tina 😊😊😊😊
Stunning! Just like moonstones!
Beautiful. Is like moonstone and opal had babies...lol❤
Absolutely gorgeous!
Absolutely stunning
These are beautiful!!!
Omg thank you! These are beautiful!
These are so darn pretty.. thank you so much for sharing
Daniel that --those are beautiful congratulations . I will be trying this.
I like and use this technique on my earrings and pendants. There are dozens of Chinese YT channels showing this, they use many of the gel nail accessories, powders, varnish and gems. I used to use my powders while embossing but all of them work brilliantly on and in resin. With many of these powders, especially the nail ones, you can brush them straight onto your mould then pour the resin in, depends on the look you're after.
Cool, I hadn't seen any like this. I did try brushing the mold but the effect was nothing like this and very matte when demolding 😔
Very beautiful reminds me of moon rocks❤
@maddieadams75 🥰🥰 I googled some earlier and looks pretty close 😊
@@daniel..cooper oops I didn’t mean to end up in a sub comment
@@maddieadams75 😁 it's no prob 😊🥰
GORGEOUS 😍
The minor imperfections really make them look authentic. I'm impressed they so closely resemble opal, labradorite, and moonstone. VERY, VERY nice.
Thank you 😊 Watch this space 😊😊😊
Yes.
My mind is blown.
And You Blew it.
I love what you make and try different things great jobs .
Beautiful that is awesome 😎💯
Love them all ❤
Particularly lovely!
Love those resin pieces
These are beautiful. ❤❤
Love these so adorable pretty thanks for sharing❤😊
Made me roar when you giggled after 'cavity'. Loving these. I did a collab creating opal effect gemstones, think it was with semi opaque white and irridescent glitter.
Again .. beautiful. Insane even!
I just wanted to thank you. You have taught me so much.
You are so welcome 🥰
Filling my cavity! 😆
You are hilarious, vicar!
The flashes are extraordinary, Dan - top work. They'd work especially well in ear-rings, a ring, or bracelet because of the movement of your head/hands, I think.
😂😂 thank you 😊
All I can say is wow! Can't wait to try this, thanks so much.
Thank you Ruth 😊
Dan, try this with the scrunched rubber glove!! And some prices of colored foil or glitter in the resin. Would love to see how it looks.
Great idea! Will give that a try soon 😊 thank you 😊
reminds me of vintage moonglow beads
Just beautiful
OMG ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS
Thanks Tammy 😊 🫂
Gorgeous!
Thank you! 😊
😮😮😮Wow, they look like opalite, which I discovered about a year ago, and now am OBSESSED with 🤩
Thank you 😊 I think I am now too 😊😊
I remember doing that a few years ago, gives some awesome fake opal looks
It's a great effect 😊😊
Mind blowingly stunning 🤩 WOW

They are amazing.
How beautiful
Thanks so much for sharing!
It's like opal my birthstone. Love it!!!
They turned out sweet, Daniel!
Thank you 😊😊
@@daniel..cooper you're welcome
Brilliant! How cool is that?! Daniel I’ve done something similar to this but I put tidbits/triangles or whatever tiny shapes into it using deli paper. I coated it with a thin resin layer and then put the chameleon powders on then another resin layer. After I had an assortment I cut up pieces ✂️ of the treated deli paper and placed them into the resin inside the molds. The deli paper becomes invisible and what is left looks like is floating flashes of colored lights. Also made some deli paper with just resin that had pigment pastes as colorants.. same thing happened, the papers were invisible and the colors could be added to anything (molds, canvases etc) in any shapes or strips.. even all the tiny trash cutoffs are usable so nothing is wasted. Sometimes when I am just winging it with a project and I get lost in where I was heading, I’ll pull out the deli papers I’ve created & finish with those. Also, interference colors with a black background on deli paper is really cool. Especially when it’s single colors and they’re placed along with other colors in the same pendant or molds. Like one interference violet and one blue paper bits or red with gold bits. Looks like opal but better bc it’s not limited by nature 👌. Thanks for sharing.. these are pretty incredible 🤩. (I got the deli paper from the donut section of the grocery store. I asked the lady if I could grab a few if I paid for a donut 😂
Oh wow, I will try this! Can you send me a pic somehow, maybe on Insta and I will see, it's sounds amazing and would love to try this! Thank you 😊
@@daniel..cooper it’s been a few years ago. I gave most of them as gifts and some went in a box of my resin creations for someday. I save all the runoff from canvases and everything to use later. But it’s so simple. Use the deli papers like it’s a canvas. Resin - color/powder - resin. If it’s just pigment paste or whatever plain color I just painted it on and that was it.
I used 2 part resin bc UV wasn’t a thing yet. But UV will be the same without the wait. You’ll see the moment the resin hits the paper it goes invisible. ~I forgot to mention to do it on plastic sheeting (I used canvases I hadn’t unwrapped yet or the wrap after I used the canvas) or silicone mats bc it soaks in the papers.. but pops off after it cures. It’s so much fun bc it’s endless. If I can find them I’ll send you pics 👌 also the smaller (let’s resin) skull molds were fantastic.. they sell a set that is skulls and aliens that make amazing pendants. Happy Arting!
@@debrajol3585 Awesome, thank you 😊 I will try it out 😊😊😊😊
Debrajo13585 when you say deli paper, do you mean wax paper?
Yeah, I'm having trouble understanding what you're trying to describe. What are deli papers?
🤩🤩🤩 wow ! Just gorgeous !
Thank you Dorianne 😊
Love em
So subtle and beautiful ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Thanks Kim 😊
Oh my these are stunning. I think I need to be trying this as one of my first items to make. Thank you for sharing the technique with us.
Thank you 😊 Have fun 😊😊
@@daniel..cooper as a newbie to resin, would you say I’m best to stick with uv resin rather than epoxy?
@blessthisemptynest they both have their pros and cons and depends on what you will create. Only you can answer that question 😊😊😊😊
Deffo Opal vibes really lovely
Thanks Julie 😊
Stunning, I love them.
Thanks Pam 😊
Absolutely stunning!!!
Thanks Carolyn 😊
That is just awesome!! They all came out great!! Thank you for teaching us yet another option for resin! 😂❤️❤️🙏💯🍰
Thanks Diane 😊 very welcome 😊

OK, that is amazing! Thanks for the idea.
Thank you 😊 Very welcome 😊
I'm so excited! For once I actually have, on hand, the items I need to make one of these awesome pieces!!! Thank you so much for this video. I'm heading to the craft room! WOOHOO!!!!
Yay! Have fun 😊😊😊😊
I think you may get this with interference mica powders also. Worth a try if you don’t have exactly what he does. This is a beautiful look
Worth a try 😊😊😊
🎉Beautiful flash!😊
Thanks 😊
I really love you tutorial thank you so much ❤
Beautiful opal effect!
Thank you 😊
oh my WOW loving that efect
Thank you 😊
If you cut Mylar up, use the right colours of aurora powder, it looks just like opal. Oh, and you’ll need to leave a larger ‘layer’ in the back, coat the sides to cover up any layer effect if there is any. If you want black opal, but a dark grey/blue layer on the back- just like in nature.
I tried this today 😊 video coming soon 😊😊
@KARENNEILL9109 Can you explain more about what you mean to “leave a larger layer in the back, and to coat the sides? How do I do that?
@@tanyacollins9003 If you use Mylar sheets, you’ll have to put resin on top of it (it will end up on the back of the piece). Otherwise it will stick out, peel off, and generally look horrible. As for a coat on the sides, simply brush a coat around the edges after you’re finished. If the piece doesn’t have a defined ‘side’, you’d maybe have to put another dome coat over the whole thing so that the edges aren’t visibly layered. Does that make sense?
@@karenneill9109 yesss, now I catch what you were saying! Thank you for the clarification!
So beautiful ❤❤
Thank you 😊
Wow this crazy, Daniel you are allowed to say those words msny tines with this result. You are certainly the master of this art. Thank you so much.
I love them!
the markwd ones just look more like real stones. so much like opals

Hi Daniel
Très beau cet effet❤
Quel travail en continu, tu es exceptionnel 😊

You actually know what those remind me of they remind me of rainbow moonstones and aside from laboradorite, rainbow moonstones and rainbow hematite are my favorites ❤😊
Thank you 😊 Have lots of plans for these now 😊😊🥰
@@daniel..cooper you're very welcome they reminded me of a rainbow moonstone that I saw OxanaCrafts use and that's where the idea of the comment came from because I just watched that not too long ago.
Gorgeous. Well done. Very opalite.
Thank you 😊
These are amazing. I've only gone and ordered the mould and the powders! Inspiring!
LOVE these! Well done for persevering because these are absolutely stunning 👍👍
Thanks Belinda 😊
So awesome!!!! I can’t wait to try it.

Use Angelina Fantasy Film in Crystal Aurora Borealis as a layer. It would be very pretty.
I absolutely love this ❤
Thanks Tia 😊 Such an easy and cool effect 😊😊

Wow Daniel!! Just amazing!! Gona have to order some of those now lol!! ❤❤❤❤them!!

Oh my gosh! Just when I think you couldn't possibly top your last experiments you do. This technique has just solved a problem for me for a texture I was wanting in a large faux stained glass project I have had on the back burner for awhile. Thank you for this.❤ Those cabochons are exquisite.

That heart does an amazing imitation of moonstone. Really remarkable!
Thank you 😊
Gorgeous! ❤ cannot wait to try it.
Thank you 😊
Dude, I can't keep up with you!! I wasn't even done watching this and somehow those powders jumped into my Amazon cart. I need more days off work to play with resin. Thank you again for experimenting and sharing with us.

Love love love these Dan wow
🥰
Absolutely love this effect!!
BEAUTiFULL ❤❤❤🎉❤❤❤
Thank you 😊
Daniel, they’re absolutely stunning!!!! Thank you for sharing. Love your videos!!!
Thank you 😊
Do you think chameleon powders would work for this event or any other mica powders?
@angelortega7708 you can try but I don't think they will flash like these 😔
Thank you!!
Just ordered them. Wish me luck!! Lol
Love this! Stunning 😮❤
I also use the mirror nail polish or powders this makes the light reflect back from the layers. Also I grind glitter till its really fine and add that to first layer but you only need a tiny bit this gives it a gem reflective look.
Awesome, will try this soon 😀 Thank you 😊
Awesome,I love all your beautiful work ❤
They are absolutely brilliant
