I wish i knew about more channels like your own, not necessarily the horror aspect but the way that it feels like something you'd find in the early days of the internet when it was a lawless wasteland where you could stumble upon anything, the limits of the horror you can witness is only limited by human creativity after all
Well that sucks because I wish there were more channels like this all around as I'm sure the channels you're looking for are around all over and deep from within, you've just got to search a little harder and I'm sure you'll find them... I just love how this one doesn't hide around showing weak or dull material.
I feel like that this symbolises that even when you are in the most calmest of places and watching their surroundings (like the beach in here) in the end you can't escape from your problems, your worries, your darkest thoughts, your anxiety and stresses, and even if you're in peace in those calm scenarios, these scenarios are only a temporary relief to the dark reality. Sooner or later, it will caught up with you and in the end...you can't escape from it. Also, I know that I sound like a broken record (and I'm sorry about this) but this art is really awesome and unique! It's definitely one of my favourite art styles that I've come across and it gives strong artistic inspiration for its aesthetic! Well done, ICS!
Tldr, the beach is the Jesus, the girl watching the waves wants to be more connected with Jesus. And the invisible being is the never overcoming thought of never being able to do so
I felt it was more like there is no escape from urbanization the buildings in the background are what's speaking to her and are still visible from the beach and the footsteps originate from the city the beaches we've left in tact are all connected to parking lots and (at least where I live) the forests are all surrounded by roads with dirt paths for vehicles cutting all through them
There's something about the art style that takes me back to the late 2000s/early 2010s of DeviantArt and RUclips altogether when artists like Demise Man and others were part of the main staple of 2000s/2010s emo culture, even if it has that type of Tim Burton-esque style to it mixed with a bit of Invader Zim with it. It's fascinating to see stuff like this continue in the modern age of the internet, even if the trend isn't as popular as it used to be. Other than that, I love the presentation of it being "Show, don't tell" in a type of way, where the character is sitting by the shore until a minute later, they're shown to be brutally mangled in a way, conveying a message that no matter how hard you try to escape something that's chasing you down, it'll always (and unfortunately) lead up to potential death or an unfortunate event that is destined to happen, and no matter how hard you try to escape or run away from it all, it will still find a way to hunt you down and put you out of your misery. Maybe I'm looking in it too deep, but maybe that's just how I see this video overall, a silent animation with a bit of loud noises in certain areas that break the silence that I enjoy (Depeche Mode, hardy har har) . Like always, I love the attention to detail, and I love how it looks like it belonged to a certain era of RUclips or DeviantArt (probably SheezyArt or Newgrounds if you're going old school) that has long since forgotten or been left behind, but a small community that I dwell and some of my mutuals like Uneuclid on Twitter have partaken to revive that certain style that I have grown significantly nostalgic over the years, a bygone era that I cherish over the years as it reminds me more of home if anything, a certain time where people could express themselves in form of art, music, and try their very best to be alive with the friends and families they have made along the way. Maybe that's just me, and I'm heavily nostalgia blind, but then again, I love the certain type of arts that show to express themselves in this type of fashion, hope the younger generations can pass it along as we carried the torch alongside with the others in the 2000s, and in the 2010s onward.
"no matter where you are, whether you're in the calmest of places, anxiety & your darkest fears will still get to you." that's what i thought while watching this the subtlety of the footsteps, the placing the small jumpscares, honest to god i think you're the only person i've seen to make jumpscares actually affective
Super creepy as always. I was admiring the background and the waves animation so much that I didn't even notice the footprints at first. And that last frame... yeesh. Nightmare fuel. 😬
reminds me of the opening scene of It Follows; tldr, it ends in a similar way, a woman in a beach awaiting an invisible, unstoppable death, and the gorey viscera being the only remains
That footprints coming closer and closer made me feel soooo uncomfortable. I was terrified. For some reason they were like death approaching very quickly and inevitably You have really made a good job of it, creating such a strong emotion!
Im never going to a graveyard feeling the same again, this one was damn good, judging by title name and video this has something to do with grief and loss of someone, an escape trying to be done and the consequences of it.
Analysis of these videos I made because I have developed an unhealthy obsession with the story. Entry:55 | Playlist:Childhood | Numerical Place:2 | Date released:February 2 2023 Notes:When the first change flashes on screen, eyes and the text “You can’t escape” appears. The footsteps come from a graveyard, and very much resemble Shadow’s boots. The second change that flashes on screen is a heart monitor. After the change, bloody footsteps can be seen returning. Interpretation:This definitely means that Vic has already been victim to Shadow, but the footsteps coming from the graveyard seem to indicate that Shadow is dead. This is something I haven’t considered,as seen from my interpretation of Don’t Get Your Hopes Up.
the whole thing of shadow being dead may be because of the idea of vic "killing it", not physically, but in the sense of emotionally getting free of it or the trauma shadow caused her, but even when she thinks she is healed, he comes back to taunt her (in her remembering past trauma caused by him), so that can explain the cemetery, the idea of shadow being dead to vic.
@@mmyrt1lle.88i assumed that the shadow was someone that had traumatized her deeply in the past, but had died. it's shown that she killed her memory of it in the past, but that, even after death, it came back to haunt her
I always love seeing uploads and I hope that the artist is doing well, wonder if there ever be a wholesome ending. probably not and I dont mind the lore is really good.
The only channel that can do jumpscares right, also why do I feel like this one symbolizes abuse? (could be mental, sexual, etc) especially the title, like no matter how much time passes there are times you can never escape the thoughts caused from the abuse itself...
I feel like that's the theme of the whole channel. I hope this person is doing OK, because much of the time, art is a reflection of our inner realities.
Wasn't until the footprints reached her that I realized the place they came from was a cemetary. Makes me wonder if there's some message about coping with loss
I took this in about 2 meanings the first being that even in calm places you can't escape your problems or feelings the second meaning I took as in no matter where in the world that you are, no place is truly "safe" as evil dwells everywhere.
No idea how I've ended up here nor do I know of how you ended up in my feed but whatever it is, you remind me of those early youtubers and animators and I'm glad to have found you and your vids. Love your artstyle.
On the shore where the sand wedges between my toes and the waves miss me by inches. I can hear the screaming and the sound of footsteps crunching on the sand it's coming closer and closer until...
Who says you were ever meant to escape? Maybe it’s just one of those things that you can get further away from over time? Maybe their will be times where it’s closer than it ever was and you have to try harder than ever before to get away, but as long as you appreciate the moments where you are away maybe away is enough.
