He was measuring from the wheel lip to the fender. So all of the tire side wall is included in that.
It is not the same measurement as the street style, top of tire to the fender.

Where did you end up in the damper travel when the car is set at that height? I always heard that you need to aim for 1/3 droop and 2/3 compression at static ride height.

Usually to want between 50 and 60 precent Compression when sitting staic. Gt3s am for 55ish.

8:38 you can see that the bottom of the main spring is above the top of the main damper body. I worry that at full extension (which will probably happen from time to time) the plastic or aluminum thingy that connects the main spring to the tender might bind. It already looks a bit crooked in the pic at full extension.
