I wonder if they made an awd version of this car if it would help with traction in the slower corners. I guess you could always get a m3 drive and do similiar mods and see how it does but you would probably be adding 200 pounds or more....
*Supposedly* an M2 xDrive is coming. But like you said, 200 lbs more. I think we can improve traction if we mess with the car more, it’s not quite at a setup sweet spot yet.
In session 1 (6min approx), how do I get the centre screen to show that graphic? I found it when the car was new but can't find it again. Help!! Great vid as always!!

just curious about the treadwear rule, is the 200tw lowest number that is allowed? If so, is it possible to run 320 or even all season 560 for fun🤣or does it violate some rules?
Higher final drive isn’t necessarily better. 7th is much longer than 6th that forcing the car into 7th on the long straight would just hurt top speed more

I don’t think that’s really in the same price range? I think M2 is significantly cheaper, but dynamically I think Porsche is more fun. I haven’t driven a 992 tho, so I don’t have a lot of feedback on that front sorry!
No problem at all! Yeah, it's a completely different price range. I had experienced the 992 CS at the Atl PEC. Was really surprised how similar it performed to my modified Supra out the box. Lots of fun to drive, but I see the great value in the G87 M2. hopefully I find some track time soon with a M2 too. Thanks again for the feedback.

The sf90 is only 1 second faster and 6x the price tag, that is not a flex at all lmao… Not to mention that car has 3 electric motors, kinda gay if you ask me.

It would be great, if not I think we can add more rear traction to the car, and also work on a potential boost-by-gear or torque-demand-by-gear to improve 3rd gear traction.

It was a great weekend competing in limited class with yall. Very stressful knowing you could be on the outside looking in at any given moment. 3700lbs is a PIG and a 2:16.1 incredibly impressive considering everything.
Was cheering you on while the stream was going on haha. Boost-by-gear will be huge also if you don't already have that going! I absolutely love it on my F80, but the F80 has a huge torque spike that hits on turn out. Smoothing that out made a big difference for my driving style. Not sure if the G87 has the same problem, but it's probably exaggerated with the addition whp. Great content as always!

That last lap was very clean, great driving man. I really enjoyed watching this as COTA is my home track; you're hitting the same top speed as I do on a naked sport bike, the car is a rocketship!
I still don't really understand why you chose to go from the Supra to the M2. At best it feels like the platform is a sidegrade. Wouldn't it have made more sense to go with something like a Corvette C8 instead since it's mid-engined, can be had with a widebody and most of the weight is over the driven wheels giving it better traction? Fundamentally I would think it's a much better platform to build a race or time attack car from unless for some reason you're married to BMW's B58/S58 powertrains.
I'm just saying it feels like you were already struggling a lot with traction and oversteer with the Supra especially when the engine was turned up and because they're very similar platforms those are big struggles still. I think going to a front mid-engine or mid-engine platform would've been a better move to address those if you were going with a new build. Then again I'm not a race car driver and just looking from the outside in so I could be completely wrong.

Your M2 is sick irregardless of what anyone else bought a G87 M2 is my current dream daily one that's tuned a bit bigger single turbo suspension and wheels and tires mold body kit from studie AG and is be in there no wing though just a carbon spoiler for me the ne M2 is so sexy and a S58 is the second coming of the 2J its a flat out beast its incredibly over engineered and that's why Toyota chose to put it in the Supra its a beast
Yea Cup2R’s are a one shot tire, and honestly we don’t have the budget to make a tire like that work. We have some new development incoming in that department so stay tuned :)

Im so glad you called out Wheelers bullshit "Enthusiast Class" car. A 700hp twin turbo 370z shouldn't be in the entry level class ever... Certainly not for multiple years. GTA needs to fix the classes. You shouldnt be able to make over double stock power in the lowest class

I think the regular vehicle status mode switches over to this when you are in Track Mode!!

You’re correct, you can run any tires with higher treadwear rating if you so desire
It's like the car was made to run aero and fat wheels & tires. I'm not a fan of the stock look, but this looks great.
Your seat moves a concerning amount. Is it on sliders?
Are there other gear ratios available for the m2 differential? Not the first time that you would benefit from a higher final drive ratio.

I think 200 tread wear rating is the lowest possible for the class they're competing in and the AR-1 is 100TW.

You need to be tighter in turn 6,7 and prepare better for t 8 an 9! There you miss 0.5 sec.

It’s the Verus Engineering Vortex Generator kit for the M2! Helps with air flow attachment around the rear window & cleans up air flow for rear wing!
