Online/streaming all you can really listen to is the talk radio station, but after you complete missions there will often be "Weasel News" breaking news stories about the "official version" of what you just did in the mission. A lot of them are so "perfect" because they are exactly what you'd expect to hear if it actually happened IRL too😂. They are worth putting up with the terrible DJ on the station
When there are dialogue scenes in the game (like with Amanda and the coach in the kitchen) it usually pays off to remain in range and let them complete instead of moving on. These dialogues often provide a bit of background/insight and can be quite funny. When you move too far, they'll stop - they'll also terminate when you arrive at a waypoint destination.
I'll keep that in mind for the future! Reminds me of when I was doing GOW...at first I would always dock the boat and a few people didn't like that in the comments, I didn't realize how interesting the dialogue was so I would sit around in the boat until it was done. I'll be mindful of that here!

Eventually you'll get to the beach and they'll have to turn around because a pipe blocks them. Get out of your car and shoot out their tires and they'll run away and done.
the funniest part to these first time playthroughs is when the two cars come in and the one the person picks always comes in beat up and covered with blood. I don't know why that cracks me up so much

The GTA games are usually around 1 to 1 scale with the place its modeled on. In this game it's Los Angeles California aka Hollywood or Vinewood in game aka Los Santos. Also, to fast travel you have to call the taxi cab company on your phone.
I think you got Franklin wrong, he doesn't want to be a good guy he in fact just wants to be a smarter criminal and wants to do big crimes for a big payday instead of street thugging for peanuts, that's why he gravitated towards Michael and wants him to teach him.
i mean like you said, its probably the best to just play the game and decide on your own how that looks like, the only thing im gonna say is, things arent as complicated as they seem, generally it is exactly what the game tells you to do, but yea, finally this episode is up, cant wait for the next ones coming

Pro Tip: A guaranteed way to escape the police when NOT on a mission, is to drive to and then into a Los Santos Customs. I don't know why it works. But it does.

Usually getting in alleyway does the trick. Also, keep the radio off if you don't want copyright strikes
The shooting range at Ammunation improves your shooting stats. So does any time you shoot your gun, even in the open world or missions, but the shooting range gives you a way to level it up faster. Your other stats are improved as you do things. As you sneak, like walking around crouched using stealth, your stealth skill will improve. As you fly planes and helicopters, you improve your flying. Improvements in your skills show up in the corner of the screen for a few seconds when they happen.
Video Update: this is hands down one of the most hilarious play throughs I have seen in a long time I was dying laughing at 1:46:04 💀 I had a amazing time watching this first episode it was legendary 😂 so yeah in the city of gta 5 is the city of Los santos aka Los Angeles where I was born and raised and I can say rock star did there homework with the details and made a really fun game can't wait for more episodes. Maybe folks have told you but different barber shops offer different hairstyles, I think there are 2 (or maybe 3) types of barber shops. Same with clothing stores, there's IDK 3-4 types which offer different clothes.
They definitely survey the areas and base it off real stuff as i'm sure you've noticed. FYI Los Santos = LA, Liberty City = New York, Vice City = Miami, San Andreas = California. They've also used San Fierro as San Francisco & Las Venturas as Las Vegas, in an older game.
This City “Los Santos” is based on the real life city of “Los Angeles” California. The beaches/pier are very accurate actually, I’ve been to that pier myself

Loved this stream so much. I played this game back in 2020 when it was free for a limited time but at that time i had a really bad pc which would really struggle to run the game and now i got myself a gaming laptop and i m also thinking of replaying it! Man i have massive respect for people who use dualshock or dualsense controllers. The main reason i really don t want a ps is because the sony controllers hurt my hand so damn much (and on pc only xbox controls show up) as i ve bought a ps5 controller for pc and i hate it so now i gotta get an xbox controller. You will definetly have way too much fun with this game

I think there's a streamer option (on PS5?) that mutes the music for the stream but still allows for you to listen to. If you press the 'right' direction on the D-pad, you can interact with people.

You can always jump to the talk radio station one you get in a car to avoid copyright music. At least it keeps the dialogue and sound going, sone of it is pretty funny as well
17:55 Los Santo's is a fictional version of L.A while San Andreas is based on Southern California. California itself exists within the GTA universe, along with other real states and cities. But for the most part the States and Cities of the U.S.A is fictional for example, instead of New York City we have Liberty City, within Liberty State. Instead of Miami we have Vice City within the State of Leonida. People also debate if Red Dead takes place within the same universe but thanks to Liberty City replacing New York City it's safe to say that it's very unlikely. I personally can't see New York City existing alongside Liberty City as both share a very similar history and visual design with the same landmarks just with fictional names. If Rockstar wanted to connect GTA and RDR together they would've just mentioned Liberty City instead of New York.
Hey!! So I watched your entire OG God Of War journey some days ago and I’m glad you’re now playing this game, you’ll undoubtedly have a great time!! Regarding your question about missions; the blue icons on the map are for Michael, while the green ones are for Franklin, you already know who Trevor is, he’s not currently available to play as, but in the future, his missions will be the ones with the orange icon. Also, one tip; if you see, for example, an M on the map, you should start that mission as Michael, since it’ll always give you a longer cutscene. You could start those missions as, let’s say, Franklin, but you’ll have a shorter cutscene with less context regarding the story, so, don’t forget that! And something important; there’s very very good music in this game, but sadly, to avoid copyright issues, you should always turn off the radio while in a vehicle, you can do it right after you enter one, by holding left on the D-Pad, it’ll show you all the radio stations available, you just have to select the one that says “radio off” with the right thumb-stick, it’s really easy and fast. I’m telling you all this because, one, I obviously don’t want you to have a copyright strike or something, and two, an overwhelmingly amount of RUclipsrs end up turning off the game music completely in the settings menu, and that includes the official game soundtrack, which doesn’t have copyright at all, so by turning it off, it unarguably completely kills the overall vibe and atmosphere of the game, and the missions, which all of them have their unique soundtrack without exception, will always feel kind of empty, like they’re missing something, it’ll be unavoidably just a painful, lifeless, unsatisfactory, and unpleasant journey, so yeah, it’s extremely important that you remember that, I want you to have the complete GTA 5 experience lol. Loved the episode, enjoy the rest of the game, this is just starting!! ✌🏻
Thanks for the tip! I did actually turn the game audio (music) down to like 10% for episode 2 which airs tomorrow. I got frustrated that every time I got into a car, there was always a different radio station playing and I got scared that one time in the chaos I'd forget to turn off the radio. I mean when a cop is chasing me down that's the last thing I'm thinking about LOL - would be nice if there was a default setting for all radio stations

14:40- note for all future GTA games (including 6 when it gets here finally;) every single gun is "automatic" and if you hold down the trigger the MC will fire at top speed. It's interesting to watch with the old timey gun on the right wall of the gun store (all the DLC and added weapons are on that side. You actually have a full reload animation with black powder and wadding too.) Been that way since the beginning when it was still a top-down POV IIRC. No worries on not knowing though it's just a Rockstar games touch they usually add in.
Not sure if someone's let you know already, but you can reply to emails. Like not the advert ones from ammunation or from an auto shop, but the emails from people you can respond to.
There's a cool easter egg around 12:08 of an alien frozen under the ice below that bridge if you drive onto the frozen river to the right of the road. IIRC it has no purpose and is just fun to find and is missable after finishing this quest. Also I’m just assuming since this is a gta game but there might be all kinds of cheat codes you can type in to get things like invincibility, unlimited ammo, no wanted level, super fast cars, any weapon, unlimited money, that kind of game improving stuff. But you probably lose the ability to unlock trophies for the ps4
I love the name of the first town: Ludendorff. I assume it's an anglicized German name. Lude means pimp and Dorf is a village or small town. So it's basically Pimptown. And in North "Yank"ton. There a few German (and French) names in the game that are quite funny. Like the main beer brand being Pisswasser. The Piss is 1:1 between English and German and Wasser is water.
@@VideogameShayPlays The reason why you couldn't lose the cops like that is that you were seen going into the house. Pay attention to the wanted stars in the upper right corner, when cops are actively monitoring your movements they're lit, when they're only looking for you but don't know where you are they start blinking and that's when you can hide before they find you again. Also, at a certain point you thought you were seeing cops in the map but it wasn't that, when you see the blue/red dot and you're not being chased, it means someone is being mugged, you can help them out by chasing down the thief and recovering their money, which you can choose to either keep for yourself or return in exchange for a 10% reward. Everytime you see a blu dot on the map it's a random encounter with small side missions.
Your Hilarious being completely new to playing GTA-V. I rather not spoil watching you play by telling you things you will find out for yourself as you play. I guess your not interested in details as you tend to rush through missions missing characters dialog, not looking for loot, driving at high speed and crashing when you don't need to. That said, I'll tune in for playthrough 2 for more laughs, your fun, interesting and very pretty 😘
BTW I'm yet just starting the vid, so props if you do it, but in case you don't the dialogue when driving somewhere is gold, so it's worth slowing down to listen it out (and keep in mind to wait it out like a street away, cause if you get too close, even if you don't actually touch the yellow dot it still might stop the dialogue, so like 1 street down tends to be a safe bet for most missions) Oh also sometimes missions can be started with different characters for which you might lose a bit of the cutscene, and while not 100% safe, it's a decent rule of thumb that when there's a mission at a characters safe house, always start it with that character to get the most out of the cutscene.

This game map is huge. 80 - 100 square Kilometers. It can take up to 15-20 minutes real time to drive across it depending on what speed you drive

When the map is blinking that means that the cops know where you are
you can take the time to read prompts and listen to the story, you can even do your stops if there is not a timer, have fun

You can see blimp location on the map or mini-map on left corner (it's the black icon of blimp) and then you can get it and drive it.

Loved this stream so much. I played this game back in 2020 when it was free for a limited time but at that time i had a really bad pc which would really struggle to run the game and now i got myself a gaming laptop and i m also thinking of replaying it!
Man i have massive respect for people who use dualshock or dualsense controllers. The main reason i really don t want a ps is because the sony controllers hurt my hand so damn much (and on pc only xbox controls show up) as i ve bought a ps5 controller for pc and i hate it so now i gotta get an xbox controller.

I think there's a streamer option (on PS5?) that mutes the music for the stream but still allows for you to listen to.

I've heard you can run into issues with the music on the car radios and getting de-monetized. Might consider disabling that in settings.
You can always jump to the talk radio station one you get in a car to avoid copyright music. At least it keeps the dialogue and sound going, sone of it is pretty funny as well

17:55 Los Santo's is a fictional version of L.A while San Andreas is based on Southern California. California itself exists within the GTA universe, along with other real states and cities. But for the most part the States and Cities of the U.S.A is fictional for example, instead of New York City we have Liberty City, within Liberty State. Instead of Miami we have Vice City within the State of Leonida.
People also debate if Red Dead takes place within the same universe but thanks to Liberty City replacing New York City it's safe to say that it's very unlikely. I personally can't see New York City existing alongside Liberty City as both share a very similar history and visual design with the same landmarks just with fictional names. If Rockstar wanted to connect GTA and RDR together they would've just mentioned Liberty City instead of New York.

So I watched your entire OG God Of War journey some days ago and I’m glad you’re now playing this game, you’ll undoubtedly have a great time!!
Regarding your question about missions; the blue icons on the map are for Michael, while the green ones are for Franklin, you already know who Trevor is, he’s not currently available to play as, but in the future, his missions will be the ones with the orange icon.
Also, one tip; if you see, for example, an M on the map, you should start that mission as Michael, since it’ll always give you a longer cutscene. You could start those missions as, let’s say, Franklin, but you’ll have a shorter cutscene with less context regarding the story, so, don’t forget that!
And something important; there’s very very good music in this game, but sadly, to avoid copyright issues, you should always turn off the radio while in a vehicle, you can do it right after you enter one, by holding left on the D-Pad, it’ll show you all the radio stations available, you just have to select the one that says “radio off” with the right thumb-stick, it’s really easy and fast.
I’m telling you all this because, one, I obviously don’t want you to have a copyright strike or something, and two, an overwhelmingly amount of RUclipsrs end up turning off the game music completely in the settings menu, and that includes the official game soundtrack, which doesn’t have copyright at all, so by turning it off, it unarguably completely kills the overall vibe and atmosphere of the game, and the missions, which all of them have their unique soundtrack without exception, will always feel kind of empty, like they’re missing something, it’ll be unavoidably just a painful, lifeless, unsatisfactory, and unpleasant journey, so yeah, it’s extremely important that you remember that, I want you to have the complete GTA 5 experience lol.

Thanks for the tip! I did actually turn the game audio (music) down to like 10% for episode 2 which airs tomorrow. I got frustrated that every time I got into a car, there was always a different radio station playing and I got scared that one time in the chaos I'd forget to turn off the radio. I mean when a cop is chasing me down that's the last thing I'm thinking about LOL - would be nice if there was a default setting for all radio stations

Oh it’s such a shame you had to do that, you’ll notice what I’m talking about during missions regarding the soundtrack, but I totally understand why you get frustrated, you’re absolutely right that there should be an option to just turn off your the radio by default, so yeah, it’s completely valid to feel that way about the radio.
You’re the one playing the game so as long as you’re confortable during this journey the rest doesn’t matter.

14:40- note for all future GTA games (including 6 when it gets here finally;) every single gun is "automatic" and if you hold down the trigger the MC will fire at top speed. It's interesting to watch with the old timey gun on the right wall of the gun store (all the DLC and added weapons are on that side. You actually have a full reload animation with black powder and wadding too.) Been that way since the beginning when it was still a top-down POV IIRC. No worries on not knowing though it's just a Rockstar games touch they usually add in.

There's a cool easter egg around 12:08 of an alien frozen under the ice below that bridge if you drive onto the frozen river to the right of the road. IIRC it has no purpose and is just fun to find and is missable after finishing this quest.
Also I’m just assuming since this is a gta game but there might be all kinds of cheat codes you can type in to get things like invincibility, unlimited ammo, no wanted level, super fast cars, any weapon, unlimited money, that kind of game improving stuff. But you probably lose the ability to unlock trophies for the ps4

I love the name of the first town: Ludendorff. I assume it's an anglicized German name. Lude means pimp and Dorf is a village or small town. So it's basically Pimptown. And in North "Yank"ton. There a few German (and French) names in the game that are quite funny. Like the main beer brand being Pisswasser. The Piss is 1:1 between English and German and Wasser is water.

You can loose the cops by going into your safe house. But you were still sitting in the car. You had to get out and go into the house

@@VideogameShayPlays The reason why you couldn't lose the cops like that is that you were seen going into the house. Pay attention to the wanted stars in the upper right corner, when cops are actively monitoring your movements they're lit, when they're only looking for you but don't know where you are they start blinking and that's when you can hide before they find you again.
Also, at a certain point you thought you were seeing cops in the map but it wasn't that, when you see the blue/red dot and you're not being chased, it means someone is being mugged, you can help them out by chasing down the thief and recovering their money, which you can choose to either keep for yourself or return in exchange for a 10% reward. Everytime you see a blu dot on the map it's a random encounter with small side missions.
1:06:37: You walked out of a car yard, where there are empty cars to steal, to carjack a family.
Think about that.

Your Hilarious being completely new to playing GTA-V. I rather not spoil watching you play by telling you things you will find out for yourself as you play. I guess your not interested in details as you tend to rush through missions missing characters dialog, not looking for loot, driving at high speed and crashing when you don't need to. That said, I'll tune in for playthrough 2 for more laughs, your fun, interesting and very pretty 😘
This is possibly one of the funniest games I’ve ever played. Almost every aspect is a parody of something.
BTW I'm yet just starting the vid, so props if you do it, but in case you don't the dialogue when driving somewhere is gold, so it's worth slowing down to listen it out (and keep in mind to wait it out like a street away, cause if you get too close, even if you don't actually touch the yellow dot it still might stop the dialogue, so like 1 street down tends to be a safe bet for most missions)
Oh also sometimes missions can be started with different characters for which you might lose a bit of the cutscene, and while not 100% safe, it's a decent rule of thumb that when there's a mission at a characters safe house, always start it with that character to get the most out of the cutscene.
