Are they still affordable 7 years later? My husband died in our vehicle last year on a quiet back road, while we had been asking for help for over two years while waiting for trial in Teller County a lot of that time. (He was found not guilty, but the toll on his body and mind was excruciating. He passed away less than two weeks later. I still don't have a reliable place to live. I am 52, and I have been traumatized by these and other experiences. I just want to have peace, living amongst other adults, preferably in or near some nature, but not necessary. I would love a balcony and fireplace. I'm on SSI, however. What chances do I have to finally have some stability in my life, some safety, and some privacy. I haven't had access to a closet in over 5 years. Been homeless, living in vans, a 4runner, the Aveo, motel rooms, a basement curtain room, a side of the garage room, two RV's, one 5th wheel where the lot was in my name, people's couches, and my ex's apartment he didn't want me having to live in it with him, but I had to. After 7 years he married someone else, 2 months later. I was out, wandering. My loving husband came along, and... things could not have gone more wrong, culminating in being trapped in our vehicle attempting to avoid further setups, which we somehow did. Fought the one, finally, and then he died, 5 days before we were to leave Colorado, to get back to his life in Arizona. In our vehicle. That is the most horrible, disrespectable, atrocious allowance of power that I have ever witnessed a court do to somebody. Anyway, that's my story. My credit is non-existent. I wanted to buy an RV one day. Nothing is happening for me fast enough. It's been years. "Jesus, I trust in you."
