    Hey thank you so much for your video, do you think with a Sync update we will get the wireless function for a 2021 model? Or is just not an option for us

    • @CarsWithSteve
      @CarsWithSteve  Год назад +1

      You're welcome! A software update wouldn't bring wireless unfortunately.. the underlying screen technology isn't the same between the Sync3 and Sync4 screens

    My dealer has a Bad Lands that I was very close to purchasing but seeing the lack of wireless car play is a deal breaker. Especially with the wireless charging pad it’s crazy that I would need to plug in for Carplay.

    • @CarsWithSteve
      @CarsWithSteve  Год назад +2

      I wouldn't let lack of wireless be the only reason you don't look at the Bronco Sport. There are some aftermarket devices you can use to get it if you really want it.. but honestly the trickle charge from the wireless charge pad will probably make you want to plug into USB anyways.. it's like that with most manufacturers

      Wireless carplay is still super glitchy plus it quickly overheats your phone if you use the wireless charger with it, it has a long way to go (this is coming from someone who had 2 cars with it)
      Wired is WAY better

      Not yet, but the Escape is getting an upgrade for the 2023 model which means the Maverick and Bronco Sport shouldn't be too far behind

    Excellent video! thank you.
    I have a 2022 base model bronco sport. I can't play my apple music wirelessly or sirius radio. Plugged in all is well.
    I thought my model was not capable but now wondering but I can't find where to get it to play apple music wirelessly. I must be missing something.
    I can play pandora, iheart wirelessly but I wanted other music apps. Cant find where to add any more. I am missing something here as well. I do click the "find mobile apps" but its only a few such as pandora and iheart, and my tuner radio.
    Anyway...thanks for the vid!

      You're welcome! I haven't tried all audio apps over bluetooth to see which ones are available but I'll check that out next time I'm in a Bronco Sport. Most should work over bluetooth but they should all work when you're connected to CarPlay.
      If I find a fix for playing them over bluetooth I'll circle back and let you know

    In the 2022 Bronco, full size Outer Banks Version, the Ford Radio does not re-connect the radio to the iphone 10 Pro Max when the car is re-started ? Requires the driver / passenger to re-instruct the radio every time the car re-starts ? Several times when the car re-starts, it begins playing AM Stations, and must again driver / passenger must re-program the radio to use Apple Airplay. Why ?? Thamks

    • @CarsWithSteve
      @CarsWithSteve  2 года назад

      Once the car is connected to CarPlay you should be able to just select CarPlay from the settings menu to launch back into it. No way to auto connect and have it launch right back in though but that would be useful

    I have the 2022 bronco sport and a Samsung Galaxy S22, when I connect via USB, the android auto message does not appear on the car screen, any idea how to fix this?

    • @CarsWithSteve
      @CarsWithSteve  Год назад +1

      Replied on one of the other videos you commented on:
      Few things to try:
      1. Make sure Android Auto is installed on your phone. Sometimes it's been disabled or isn't pre-installed
      2. Try using a different USB port
      3. Delete your phone from the vehicle and delete the vehicle connection from your phone, then re-connect and see if you can connect
      4. Replace the USB cable with a manufacturer original. I find aftermarket cables don't work properly for data transfer

      RUclips Music yes but RUclips for video no... Ford's Sync3 and Sync4 don't support video playback but the next gen based on Android OS does

    • @CarsWithSteve
      @CarsWithSteve  7 месяцев назад +1

      You can try a screen reset first.. Press and hold the radio power button and right seek button for 10 seconds. The screen should go black and then turn back on again. If that doesn't work then remove the phone connection from the vehicle and vehicle connection from the phone and then re-connect it

      Not connecting to Android Auto/Apple CarPlay or bluetooth? If it's Android Auto/CarPlay, make sure that your USB cable supports data transfer. You'll see a data icon along the part you plug into the car. I find a good number of 3rd party cables don't support data transfer so I'd recommend going with an OEM cable instead
      If you're on an iPhone, also go to Settings --> General --> CarPlay and if you see your car there, remove it. Then delete the phone connection from your car and your car connection from your car's bluetooth. Try to re-connect after that.
