Just got mine a few weeks ago. I can almost 100% guarantee you will love it, regardless of what trim edition, add-ons etc. Mine is "just" a 2021 model, but it only had 18k miles on it, and it's already my favorite vehicle I've owned over the (now) 10 of them I've had, over my almost 40 years living on this giant rock! 😉 Safe travels and trails, friend! 🐎

My wife and I have a 2024 big bend. So far it's been a phenomenal vehicle. The headlights are incredible. The fuel economy is also very nice. The only thing I have to complain about is the space between the windshield and the hood. It collects leaves and other tree junk at an alarming rate. Not to mention the roof channels that you have rinse out with a water hose a couple of times a week. But overall, yeah. It puts my F150 to shame in ride quality. It has a VERY smooth ride on bumpy road surfaces.

I'm a Ford person, my wife drives a 2015 F-150 4x4 and now that it's time for me to get a new vehicle we immediately went to the the Ford dealer where a buddy of mine works. we drove the Bronco Sport Badlands and ................ well surprisingly it wasn't for me and even my wife was shall we say disappointed. So after driving a slew of smaller SUV's we kept going back to the Subaru Forester Wilderness and that is what we will be buying in the next month or so. So what didn't we like about the Sport? it seemed cramped. I'm 6'1. The dash was very "plain Jane" to both of us. Back seat, where she sat during the test drive, was in her words, "Just not comfortable and the ride was harsh. The engine noise was loud and sluggish. I'm not here to bash the Sport as I have a friend who loves his, but for us, it's a pass, but we still love our F-150.

I think a lot of the criticism comes from Jeep owning the off-road space forever and using their marketing to create specific rules like IFS sucks, transfer cases are the only way to truly go off-road, 35" tires minimum, body on frame only, etc. Yes, body on frame makes modifying the bumpers easier, but other than that the other rules aren't true. It's marketing being used to disguise flawed systems. And I think Jeep owners will be shocked when they go IFS eventually with the Wrangler to retrieve sales lost to the Bronco.

Can you do reliability reviews? I’m interested in what the build quality over time is. I’ve seen a lot of questionable ford build quality issues come up. Some of which are just new design reliability stuff that can get ironed out, some issues make me question the feasibility of this being a 200k mile long term commute dd/ camping rig. Let’s just say it’s no toyota reliability wise, but toyota also does not make a cross over that’s as capable. This BS is only interesting in the badlands trim, and ford nailed just about everything on the vehicle imo for the segment and price. Maybe one day a vehicle like this can get a transfer case, that would be awesome! Ford offering the rear “ locker” is really awesome! Please more bs videos!

  • @off-roadingexplained8417

That's ok. My Jeep isn't a real Jeep either ... Well I guess that means all the Wranglers except for the Rubicon aren't real Jeeps either since I have a rear locker and they don't.
Of course I think the Wrangler sport is a legit Jeep. I'm just making a point.
All I know, is that a stock bronco sport or a stock Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk would absolutely smoke a stock Wrangler from before 2005 or so. So what's the beef ?
Go watch the roller tests and diagonal slip tests . It's no contest. The traction is WAY better on newer off road vehicles. It's not even close. People forgot how bad old 4x4s were .
Let's talk about independent suspension... It solves 100 problems and creates one (but not always). Yes it's less flex ... But... It still makes it and it's never going to flip.
BY DESIGN... Independent suspension was created for uneven surfaces! That's the point!.. if you're within the suspension travels range and all else is equal, traction will be BETTER...
Something like Rego Rex suspension with 20 inches of travel would probably smoke a Wrangler with the same lift on traction, not to mention baha style trail running... But anyway... As soon as they make long travel 4 wheel independent suspension for a Wrangler, everyone will pivot and I'll just laugh... Anyway....
Do people realize that EVERY Jeep... Every single one.... Except for Gladiator and Wrangler... not only have IFS, they have 4 wheel independent suspension...
I'm a little bit shocked that they didn't put front wheel independent suspension at least on the Gladiator Mojave.

What are your thoughts on the lack of a 4-Low? I have a badlands and have taken it on a few medium rated trails out in CO. Absolutely love it! But having to ride the brakes so much on descents irks me.

I have a 2022 badlands - it has the power moonroof. Can I install and use a roof top tent with the moonroof? Thanks for your advice.

does anyone know if th gas cap lid is secured by an inside lever for security.........?

No it’s not. I hate hate these capless systems. Not only do people siphon gas they put dirt and or sugar in your tank. All gas filler doors should have a release lever inside the vehicle or a locking gas cap. Most Fords have neither.

Just traded mine in, at 45k miles its been in the shop more than any other car I've ever own. Lovely to drive, built like junk

While it’s a great drive, My 2021 is a shitheap in the electrical/tech department. I’ve already had the media system replaced twice, and 3 different bulbs have failed (something I’ve never had happen in the first few years of a new vehicle). I also had an issue with the emission system that caused a check engine light and the remote start via the app has failed twice and needed to be fixed. Not super impressed, honestly.

Ford really screwed up by putting in a horrible sound system. Can't wait to go off roading - won't go alone. I've noticed too, people like to think this is a weenie, but they haven't driven it!

Maybe if a B list celebrity takes a sport on a (very) slow police chase, it'll have more cred
