I think I’ve seen rubber types of these? I’m not sure about the length, maybe you could find something like that to cover it?
Appreciate this video, yes most of these things can be fixed but! not many videos go over these little things! And for some it may be too much of an issue lol. IMO for the price point, very worth it. I have a toyota with similar issues (except the rear window) and paid more for it 😅 (but because I needed a hybrid). Hope y’all are still enjoying your vehicle!
I used to hate automatic transmissions, but lately I’ve been stuck in traffic way to much, so I prefer them. Actually I think they are better for off-roading, at least for slippery hills where it’s easy to loose traction, but I’m not a very experienced off-roader, so who knows.
Umm, there is a setting to shut the car shutdown feature off in the car settings. Also, the check your back seat for occupants is a setting you can turn off. As for the dogs, there’s a dog carrier for the back that’s sold for this vehicle.
we looked in the infotainment system of the sport we have and it's not on there. I do not know if its in the TECH package one or not. If anyone knows please let us know. However, we have come up with a solution to this issue and that will be in a future video.
Finally, comments about dogs in the back, which is what I have to keep in mind when I look for news cars since I have two big Bernese. Can you say how flat the middle seats fold down? Does the passenger seat fold flat too? Thanks, and thumbs up!
The seats fold down pretty flat. Just the gap that is left that would bother me. If the seats are always down then a pad would work perfectly. The front passenger does not fold down flat. Just forward a little.
I have 2 big 110 lb chocolate labs that fit in the back of my 2021 bronco sport no problem. They have tons of room to wiggle around and look out the window

The auto start stop is honestly not that bad. I can notice it more in my dad's truck with the bigger engine, but you don't really notice it with the smaller engine.
Auto stop/start wreaks havoc on your motor, starter etc. get a auto stop/start eliminator. I got one in my Jeep gladiator. It remembers i have it off and i don't ever have to push it unless i want it to work again
That is a solution that I can deal with. Thanks so much. I will tell Jill about this and say I found this all by myself... (huge brownie points) ;) Unless she reads this.... hmm... lol... what are the chances?
Pretty sure you guys have figured a ton of things out since this video, but… What I did is went through the touchscreen and set up everything my wife likes or not and assigned it to “her” key. And then programed all the things I did or didn’t like to “his” key. Upon doing this I found a lot of the things you mentioned were easily remedied. Also, the divide in the back window is so you can have two surfboards or other objects separate for protection. This way it is less like you will need to stack stuff you don’t want on top of each other. Specifically, surf boards…
Lol yes we have. This video was one of our first ones and have learned a lot about both the Bronco Sport and our Broncos. We have torn into them quite a bit for modifying them
The seat reminder notification and the auto start are also on other brands it isn’t just the Ford Bronco Sport it’s also on most Chevrolet vehicles and probably other brands. Yes they are annoying but becoming industry standard.
6:24 So I discovered this with both my Dodge Charger and my Toyota Camry. If you dont have kids and you will never have kids or small living creatures in your back seat, you can reach under it and disconnect the occupant sensor. Just remember to reconnect it before you ever sell it or trade it in. The vehicles computer wont register the back seat as even existing anymore and that notification should stop. I dont know exactly where it is in the back seat of the Bronco Sport, but it should be one of the wires sticking out of the back of the bottom of the seat next to the seat bracket mounts. It should have a yellow, red or black plastic coupler. Disconnect that and you should be good. Check both partitions of the seats and make sure there arent 2 of them, 1 for each partition. If there is, disconnect both. Enjoy.
I might take care of a couple of your hates...Go to Vehicle in Setting; then to Remote Lock and in there you can change it so only the driver door unlocks and there is also a Rear Occupant Alert option that will let you turn off that warning (also under the Vehicle in Settings
I watched a video for Big Bend that showed there is a slot for a second tier for the rear cargo mat that lifts it up to make it more flush with folded seats. Not sure if that is in your model.
The fact that the auto start/stop can be turned on or off is boss level. My 3-series didn’t have that option. Same 3-series has the touch once unlock touch twice all doors unlock so BMW has had that figured out for over 10 years.
we got the doors figured out. I can be done via the infotainment system. Or with the key fob. as far as the auto start stop. I don't think we are gonna dig into a new cards electronics just yet.
The back seat warning is Great if you have kids. How many news stories abound of people leaving their children in the back in 100 degree weather!. That is a wonderful and lifesaving feature, if people take it seriously.
my beef with the back hatch is that it should have been split like the Honda Element- have goes up, half goes down. You can turn off the back seat occupants thing on the screen in settings.
Bought my wife a Bronco Sport and have been relatively happy except the fact that the air conditioning did not work when bought. Dealer or Ford missed this. One thing I think is not intuitive is the remote start!!! There is a button labeled x2 which seems to indicate click twice to start? No it's actually click the close locks button then click the remote button twice?!?
Usually with Ford - you click the lock button twice (when it honks you know you did it), then press the start button. However if you have the Ford Pass App - you add your vehicle there, and you can not only remote start it but schedule start for every day. :)

Not that we hate reading the owner's manual - We haven't had the time. We both work long hours at our jobs and are tired when we get home. Will I be breaking it out, yeah, when I get time to actually read it.
That backseat gap when folded is an issue. My equinox has a couple of pieces of plastic that cover a similar gap. It's actually a well thought out little solution. I wonder if something like that can be irritatingly modded to work in the Bronco Sport?
I figured it would be able to and has been resolved already. We both have been so busy to even dig farther into the system to look at other stuff. Thanks.

Has anyone talked about the cavernous cowl that hides the wipers under the hood? Makes it impossible to pull the wipers up in anticipation of a snow storm without shutting the engine down when the wipers are in the up position. And don't forget to put them back down BEFORE you start the engine again. Otherwise the hood edge will force them to snap back down to the glass. i have a nice 1.5 inch break in my paint on the edge of my hood now from the wiper arms from this happening just once.
She drove everything. She works at Ford. Not every car is going to be 100% perfect for each person out there. I'm sure if you really think about your car, you will find some annoyances too.
For the fifth thing, you can actually move the cover in the trunk (the thing that the spare tire is under) and scooch it forward and it covers the gap. The guy at the dealership showed me.
can you re do it all with her tugging at her shorts? asking for a friend. LOL great information, I also dislike the auto shut off and start which is called "on demand power"

I have a toyota with similar issues (except the rear window) and paid more for it 😅 (but because I needed a hybrid). Hope y’all are still enjoying your vehicle!
Glad it helped! We actually love the Sport.
I hate that I can't get one with a manual transmission.
Yeah that’s actually disappointing. The big one comes w a manual option but not the sport although it has a manual mode with paddle shifters.
Yeah I know. It's a shame but it has paddle shifters I guess to make up for it LOL
@@1Five1Garage Thanks, good to know!
I have 2 big 110 lb chocolate labs that fit in the back of my 2021 bronco sport no problem. They have tons of room to wiggle around and look out the window
I agree with the auto start stop system but that's on all vehicles look into the settings for the door unlock settings it should be there I know I did it on my compass
We actually finally had time to fix the doors and the back seat message. The auto start stop will be fixed in a little bit. Plug and play component that makes your choice stay until you choose otherwise.
We actually got it fixed with the key fob :D But yes we found that too in the infotainment system! Thank you :D
Great info can u share where the top sunroof add on was purchased
If you talking about the awning and such. Those are all ford accessories.
Pool noodle for when lowering the seats help with the gap. Cut to size and easy to store.
Good idea!!
I just bought one … what’s up with the back windows thr safety things … I am looking to see how to let the back windows completely down. Thanks for the content.
It's the way the door is shaped. The glass it too big for it to go all the way down due to the narrowing from the wheel well.
The auto start stop is honestly not that bad. I can notice it more in my dad's truck with the bigger engine, but you don't really notice it with the smaller engine.
It will destroy your engine though quicker
It not ford it’s government that made them put that.
Negative terminal on battery on all fords have little dingis that u can unplug that will turn off auto start stop
(huge brownie points) ;)
Unless she reads this.... hmm... lol... what are the chances?
@@1Five1Garage LMAO I read it and u still get brownie points cuz ur buying it :)
You can buy an after market switch to permanently turn off the stop/start sequence.
We installed one. Auto stop eliminator
Pretty sure you guys have figured a ton of things out since this video, but…
What I did is went through the touchscreen and set up everything my wife likes or not and assigned it to “her” key.
We have torn into them quite a bit for modifying them
I heard from a Ford tech if you plug into the hitch trailer light connector, this would cancel the start/stop function.
That's interesting. This doesn't have a tow package but might have to look into it.
The seat reminder notification and the auto start are also on other brands it isn’t just the Ford Bronco Sport it’s also on most Chevrolet vehicles and probably other brands. Yes they are annoying but becoming industry standard.
Any idea what the slot underneath the insert of the center console is used for?
Nope. Never use it.
Will the back window close if the wiper is not in the down position?
That I don’t know. I’ll find out … 🤔
6:24 So I discovered this with both my Dodge Charger and my Toyota Camry.
Enjoy.
Good to know.
I might take care of a couple of your hates...Go to Vehicle in Setting; then to Remote Lock and in there you can change it so only the driver door unlocks and there is also a Rear Occupant Alert option that will let you turn off that warning (also under the Vehicle in Settings
the remote worked perfectly from the anonymous person earlier. Will have to get the alert thing done tomorrow. Thanks a bunch.
Thank you dear! I did that as soon as I saw your comment! 2 of my gripes are now resolved LOL
You should be able to turn off the system of reminding about rear occupants!
Done did it 😉
I also hate how the paint shines too much and people stares at you 🤦
Those issues will be fixed with tint and clear satin wrap.
@@MiguelTorres-er9zw 🤣😂🤣😂
I agree, I hate a car shutting down at a stop.
Agree backseat reminder is annoying but maybe some people need it....we should be able to disable
Thanks for the video was looking at the Purchase of Bronco Sport, but moving to something else. due to engine and towing mostly.
I own an Audi A6 and it's the same thing. Just turn of the on/on feature
I watched a video for Big Bend that showed there is a slot for a second tier for the rear cargo mat that lifts it up to make it more flush with folded seats. Not sure if that is in your model.
The Badlands has a full size spare tire and that lower slot is for temp spares.
Hey can you tell me where you got the Awning?
It’s a ford accessory.
You can change the unlock setting to driver only in the sync settings
The fact that the auto start/stop can be turned on or off is boss level. My 3-series didn’t have that option. Same 3-series has the touch once unlock touch twice all doors unlock so BMW has had that figured out for over 10 years.
we got the doors figured out. I can be done via the infotainment system. Or with the key fob. as far as the auto start stop. I don't think we are gonna dig into a new cards electronics just yet.
Go to setting mode then door locks. You can program to just driver door unlocks.
Thank. We fixed it. ❤️
Cracked me up that one of your neighbors car alarm was going off while you were talking. He he
LOL! I forgot about that!
never even noticed it. lol
Would the back seat be tight for a car seat?
I'm pretty sure it's a standard back seat. If it can fit in a Ford Escape with no problem, it should fit into a Bronco Sport without a problem.
The back seat warning is Great if you have kids. How many news stories abound of people leaving their children in the back in 100 degree weather!. That is a wonderful and lifesaving feature, if people take it seriously.
I still don't get how you forget children in the back...
my beef with the back hatch is that it should have been split like the Honda Element- have goes up, half goes down. You can turn off the back seat occupants thing on the screen in settings.
we found that out... along with a few other things we didn't even know it could do. Thanks..
I wonder if the first two issues mentioned can be resolved during an update to the software 🤓?
it can actually be fixed in the infotainment system. lol We have been working so much lately that we hadn't had time to really go through it.
Locks are programmable, dealer step by step showed us to do it, the check the rear sensor can be turned on on the dash.
Thanks completes those over a year ago.
This Bronco looks really familiar to the new Range Rover.
.... Too familiar. 🤔
Great video! I hope you guys are enjoying your new bronco, looks like a fun car.
she loves it and worked hard to get it.
We love it!
Hi, I was watching your video and I need help from someone who’s had theirs for a while I got my 3 weeks ago everything is fine and all except today when I connected my phone and tried changing the song with the button on the steering wheel it didn’t let me so I tried it on the radio and it let me change it with no problem is this something normal or how could I fix it any suggestions ? Thank you btw I have the bronco sport big bend
Sorry just now seeing this. I would suggest going to the dealership. Let them take a look at it. Maybe something is up with the button in the steering wheel itself, or the whole wheel. Or could be a connection issue. There's just too much to tell. Feel free to reach us directly on instagram and our website: www.1five1garage.com
You obviously hate reading the owner's manual also as a couple of those things you hate can be changed or shut off.
Not that we hate reading the owner's manual - We haven't had the time. We both work long hours at our jobs and are tired when we get home. Will I be breaking it out, yeah, when I get time to actually read it.
lol if it is really important, someone will make a youtube video about it.
To solve the lock/unlock issue look at page 64 of the owners manual and it will tell you how to program this setting.
Nice yonkers Jill
LMAO - why thank you!
there is a switch on the left side of your battery, unplug that, your car will not die out while at a stop light. works great
Thanks dear ❤️❤️
On off switch is in most new vehicles though when stopped at a light. Mercedes/BMW for sure, its annoying I get it.
we installed the autostop eliminator on the vehicle. no more start/stop crap :)
Love my Bronco Sport!
I’m so glad!
That backseat gap when folded is an issue. My equinox has a couple of pieces of plastic that cover a similar gap. It's actually a well thought out little solution.
I wonder if something like that can be irritatingly modded to work in the Bronco Sport?
There is, if you order the all weather mats it hooks up diagonally to make it completely level.
The door thing, and the backseat warning can be changed in the settings.
I figured it would be able to and has been resolved already. We both have been so busy to even dig farther into the system to look at other stuff. Thanks.
@@1Five1Garage Good stuff... Side note... my #1 dislike is that the Goat mode resets when you turn off the car. I wish it remembered!
@@vdawson647 Oooohhhhh yesssssss..... That should be on a second I WISH video - for the modes to stay in the mode that you turned the car off in. Yep I totally feel ya on that one!
I already did the back seat occupant thing - That was one of the first things I did when I had a moment to really dig into the system LOL. The door thing is fixed too with the key fob. Thanks to Ford Man :)
Thanks for the review. I have been looking for someone commenting on the seats down to haul pups.
Your welcome. The safety and comfort of the dogs are important to us.
@@cherch They will have crates for the bronco. We just don't have them for the 4Runner. But yes we do care about our dogs.
Putting the wipers up is actually very yard on the wiper arm springs. I never put mine up, except when I'm washing my windshield.
Maybe be too soon but any reliability issues?
Not that we have seen. Just 1 or 2 one off's but nothing common. The Badlands engine is from a Focus ST, so not entirely a new engine.
didn’ u test drive the car? and ask all the questions before buying the vehicle?
Yes we did. These items were not ones that would keep us from buying it.
Thanks. We didn’t know that. We use one of our big Broncos as the dogs transportation.
can you re do it all with her tugging at her shorts? asking for a friend. LOL great information, I also dislike the auto shut off and start which is called "on demand power"
LOL i'll ask her...
😂😂😂😂😂
@@1Five1Garage lol I wonder what she will say 😂
LMAO!
Sometimes if you ask the dealer if they can permanently turn it off sometimes they will but I think there’s a law against it right now
Is this a Toyota advertisement? I tried a 4Runner out before I bought a Bronco Sport. No comparison. So glad I bought the Bronco Sport.
LOL nope I have both the 4Runner and Bronco Sport. We love them both for different reasons.
Once you can turn it off since you can seems like you would like it more or just sell it or return if you can and get another Toyota. I'm looking for an fj to use until my bronco gets built and it looks like now could be another year and I need a car so might as well get an fj while I wait since they are holding their value so well.
The FJ is a cool vehicle. I think a little bit before it’s time though.
Can you take the top off on this model
No. This model is a Unibody the roof is permanent. The big bronco are the ones with the removeable roof.
Every vehicle I ever owned with power locks has a menu setting or means which let's the user set how unlocking works. I don't think this vehicle would be any different. RTM.
That was the first thing I did, change from all doors unlock to driver only. I did it with the key fob. I have Bronco Sport Outer Banks .
It wasn’t until over six minutes into the video that I realized that this was a Bronco “Sport” video. Clearly I’m a Broncoholic
😂😂 nothing wrong w that!
"Give you an idea of what she's talking about " got what she meant first explanation...lol
Lol
I just came across your channel in my feed. This is great. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks, I wish all my videos would get this much attention. LOL We try to keep people informed on any issues regarding the Bronco Sport and Bronco when it comes out. With Jill working for a Ford dealership she get info on what warranty issues are coming out with all the vehicles.
@@1Five1Garage Oh wow that is very useful info concerning Jill too. Iam trying to get through the previous videos. I currently drive Toyota and I know a few folks interested in the Bronco. I like the look myself. Keep them coming. You guys work in sync very well.. Thanks again.
@@moeanthony9308 I own a 4Runner and absolutely love it. We also have a Bronco on order with same spec as the Sport. It will be a unique combination. Share the videos with the people that are interested. The more the merrier. Jill and I have been together for over 10 years. She trained me well.
@@1Five1Garage That she has. Lovely woman lovely couple. Rav 4 and CHR in this household and love them. That's great so another Bronco means more stories. You can assure I will share. The transparency of both you speaks wonders. I have subscribed by the way. Keep safe my friends.
@@moeanthony9308 aww thanks for the sub and the kind words. Toyotas are amazing. I love the 4 runner, only had an issue with the infotainment center. other than that, she's been great. Lol yep
I love when the shifter knob comes apart in my hand or becomes difficult to turn. Good times.
Oh my… I never had a problem with that before
@@1Five1Garage according to the service tech, the vehicle needed a program update. Hasn't happened again. My wife loves it but its not for tall people.
Yeah, these are all VERY specific issues. If this is all that's bad, I'm glad I put an order in for one
Lol I love my sport - n those were just annoying things that we fixed. I hope you enjoy yours when you get it.
The second complaint is very valid. That’s something you wouldn’t think about until your in a bad situation.
You can turn off the “check back seat” reminder in the control panel.
Oh every gripe I had been addressed after the video was shot lol
You can program most cars to not do the stop mode. It prematurely wears out your battery and the starter.
Oooohh love the ATARI profile pic! I used to have 3 of them as a kid!! Frogger & Donkey Kong & PacMan :D
I got the AutoStop Eliminator hooked up to it so I don't have to worry about it anymore :D
Most of the "gripes" were already addressed immediately after the video was launched LOL
@1Five1Garage Thanks. I love the old PC and Console Era. I was test driving one of these. It's a bummer that you have to step all the way up to the top end to get the 4 cylinder. That 1.5 liter is just not enough it struggles to move that thing around.
I just recently got mine , while In reverse, it makes a loud whining noise when pressing the brake , ford told me it’s. Normal … anyone has the same issue ?
No… I don’t have that. I would seek other opinions ❤️
The start stop I don’t even notice anymore. I’ve had that in a car since 2015.
I get it my Outback has a auto stop too!
Agree completely with all of these. Come on Ford!!!
Lol
