      Kia Glimps-Smith My goal is to get the word out about this procedure so all women will know we can keep our uterus. I will write every tv show, every magazine and anyone else who will listen so every female will have a chance at a better life with their uterus and not their fibroids. I love you all and one life at a time we can make a change. Thank you for sharing your story it brought tears to my eyes and gave me the confirmation I am doing exactly what God told me to do....Help others through social media. Keep me posted each week on your progress, I want to know what's going on with you, be blessed ;-)

    I had UFE on July 8th, 2022. Today is July 24, 2022. I can already feel a beautiful difference. I’m on my menstrual now and it is VERY light and no excruciating pain like before. I had my treatment with Dr Sheth in Decatur Ga. Don’t have insurance so I paid $10,000 cash. BEST money I ever spent!

      im in Atlanta , ima look this doc up. how you feeling now? A lot of people say they were in a LOT of pain after the procedure. Was it the sam for you?

      @@MsChunkums Hey Sis 🙋🏿‍♀️. The pain is from the pain meds making you constipated. Soon as I took a fleet enema I felt 100% better. Just don’t take the Percocet. Use the Aleve if you have a little soreness afterwards. The pain is not from the procedure. It’s because the Percocet/ Oxycodone will make you constipated so bad. His name is Sachin Sheth. Tell him Elaina Davis sent you Boo. 😘

    BTHW. My gynae said last Feb/March that the only option for aden. was hysterectomy. But God had other plans and things kept happening to prevent anything going ahead, including then keyhole hyst. last Nov. GOD IS AWESOME. Just a hard to see dot is only thing I have to show that I had anything done.

    What an inspiration you are.. Sharing your story ,getting the information out there. That there are options to
    Disease,giving the advice to look into your diagnosis ,the options , the meds used. I was 24 when I was originally diagnosed with UTE , i was given two choices a total hysterectomy or live with it..well it took me a year just to go to the doctor over this,I'm a very stubborn woman, I didn't want it confirmed that there was a problem.. the pain and agony lead me down an even darker path...2 years later at an appointment i was told of a experimental drug and testing,of course nothing insurance would cover...my husband looked at the doctor and said " dont you get it, shes not a dollar shes human and you. Think I WONT PAY TO SAVE MY LIFE?' Sign her up ,who do i pay? Needless to say she was shocked and speechless. But we got it worked out and me in the program..the study was shot once a month,the idea was to slow or even possibly stop the bleeding. I did a year of this, no I didn't get better or any relief ,but I was hanging on to the hope of having one more child, I'll never forget the day, i had an appt. the bleeding was so bad pads with wings were over flowing. My husband carried me into the dr office, they took me straight back and my doc was right there..I'm crying ,curled in the fetal position, she spoke to the nurse outside the door. She came in picking up the Kleenex box ,she handed me one and kept one for herself. She puts the tissue to my eye to wipe the tears away and is saying " windy you have to be the strongest welled woman i know. You have fought this from every angle ,its slowly killing you darling..what about the baby at home? Do you want him to grow thinking he wasn't enough for you, so you killed yourself for a maybe baby ? While she was speaking the nurse was buzzing about me , did an I.V ,i busted into tears, now I was wondering what emotional damage have i done thus far,at this point I'm 27 and he is 5, mind was was reeling,then the doctor said those words i had been running so fRom ,only to end up in their home...front and center.. TOTAL HYSTERECTOMY, THE OLD TIMEY KIND, WHERE NOTHING CAN BE LEFT BEHIND...at that moment i crumbled ,my husband holding me explaining they just gave me a sedative and want me to rest.. All i could say it cant happen today, then off to la la land...i awoke expecting to be across the street in the main hospital.but I wasn't , i was still in her office ,in the room , my husband laying across me likes safety belt ..lol..the nurse came in seen me awake got my doctor immediately . She checked my standards,heart,breathing,vision,etc..she ask if I remembered our conversation ( oh yes hubby woke up ) . I said i was hoping it was a nightmare..but the look on your face tells me its reality. She its time windy, your young theres children everywhere that need to be saved . You fought for 3 long agonizing years, your 27 with a baby boy and husband that need you. So 2 days before my 28th birthday ( we tried for a date after,but she wanted me in the OR ASAP....i just imagine if i had this opportunity of today, how many babies would i have had?may GOD BLESS YOU & YOUR FAMILY for sharing your lives with us. The positive messages through you maintane faith and hope for so many woman.

    I'm currently on day 5 since my UFE surgery and I'm still experiencing cramping but I'm blessed to have found your videos so that I would be up to date on what to expect. My appetite is not back yet if I do eat its chicken noodle or chicken rice soup and that 1 can last all day, its just too heavy on my stomach right now. But again I'm blessed.
    Thanks Petrina

      Petrina Johnson The pain sometimes may seems to be unbearable but I promise in the end it's going to be worth having the procedure. For my situation it took me almost a month to heal from the pain, I now have menstrual cycles that are so light I can wear 4 pads for an entire day if I choose too. The hard part is over, continue to take your medicine and try to eat some cream of chicken soup thinned out if you can, it's very light on the stomach and rotate using a heating pad it does work. God is going to see you through and you're going to be fine. I will keep you in my prayers and please keep me posted on your healing process. If you need me, I am here for you. Petrina I am praying for a speedy recovery. Thanks for watching and be blessed ;-)

    So glad that you did a video journal of your procedure. It is helping me for when I go thru mine. I'm not sure if you're still taking iron but I have to take it everyday because of the anemia I have currently I am at 9.1 and your supposed to be in the 11's to not be anemic. My doctor told me to take the iron with orange juice. The orange juice breaks down the iron in your system so it can pass through your small intestine to go thru your large intestine so it can come out so you won't be constipated. This does work I'm never constipated after taking iron as a matter of fact sometimes during my cycle I have to take three iron pills a day and I just drink them down with orange juice and I am still able to go to the bathroom with no problem.

    Just had this done last week. Even though I am not in child bearing years anymore I still get a menstrual cycle. I also still didn't want the down time from a full hysterectomy (also didn't want to be cut). I feel like my old self now in less than a week. With a hysterectomy being that it's major surgery you're being cut open and all I can't imagine the recovery would be so short. Had pain first couple days but with a hysterectomy that pain would have been far more than just a couple of days.

    Thank you soooo much for this, has been very encouraging to watch. I had my UFE on June 1 and immediately felt the difference from walking round with a 12cm adenomyosis and 4cm fibroid. I too gained a lot of weight even though I wasn't having alot of 'weight gaining' foods/drinks. Only symptoms I've had today is sciatic pain which hasn't needed me to take any pain meds.

  • @Webbgurl2000
    @Webbgurl2000 9 лет назад +4

    Had my UFE 2 weeks ago. The cramping was like labor pains. However, my bloating is going away. I don't know if laying on my stomach has any effect though. I'm still home taking it easy.
    I'm not ready for the gym yet, or stairs at home. My cycle actually was on during the UFE. I'm glad I did my research. The weight loss sounds like an added benefit. 😃
    Going to the restroom to urinate was a little weird, but I'm fine now. I've been using a stool softener at least a month before UFE when the fibroids had me so large I looked as if I were carrying triplets☺️☺️☺️
    I am terrified of scales, so I'm just going to see how my clothes fit. Scales fluctuate too much. Be Blessed Sonya and Ladies, do your research!!
