I am 47 and I have struggled with painful periods ever since I started to get them. They've been so painful that I've had to miss school, college, and sometimes even reschedule my extracurricular activities.
So far, I am handling my periods okay. I stick to a very very bland diet like salad with no dressing, fresh cut fruit, and plain yogurt with no fruit at the bottom when I feel those stomach twinges before my cycle.
I use a heating pad or a hot water bottle on my belly.
If I have the energy, I soak in a bathtub filled with hot water.
I drink herbal teas and they help.
Now I am in perimenopause and I know that my periods will be erratic.
So I am trying to handle them at home. Some months the cramps are okay. But other months, they are horrible.
I am counting the days when I will absolutely be done with this. I am hoping by 48-49 I should be done with my menstrual cycle.
I am not Caucasian. I am indian -American. So, my genes are different from the US population. I can't rely on studies done by CDC, American ostertics and gynecological Association etc.. I may be able to rely on studies done by NIH as they might have taken a population of indian women who are in perimenopause and menopause.

Don’t get this done. You will feel fine initially, BUT, The more time that passes after the procedure, the worse, and more painful the problems become. At times the pain is horrendous from my ankles to my groin, where the arteries are blocked. The other night I was completely frozen in agony, had no one to help me, and Icould not move an inch bc both legs had severely cramped up, from ankle to groin, while I tried to roll over in bed. This is life changing surgery! Medical staff do NOT tell you about the potential problems, five or ten years down the road. Doctors who do this procedure know absolutely zero when it comes to reversing it. And I’ve called the biggest medical facilities throughout the United States, and NOT one of them have a clue what I’m talking about when I ask if they reverse uterine artery Embolization. And I’m calling the departments that DO THE PROCEDURES!!!

I think that is the target demographic age when fibroids occur (30-50), so just call to get a consultation.

Use UFE for the remaining one. Get a consultation because sometime fibroids just grow at anytime and this procedure may offer you a lot of relief. It's covered by insurance.

Hello everyone. Are you struggling or know anyone with Fibroids ..Don't suffer anymore, I know that surgery is costly for the fibroid and you have fear of them recurring again. Deal with with the root cause of these tumors and not symptoms only. Enjoy a fibroid free life.
