Great burning romance tale.
Personally tho the " no Arab can avoid a woman " bit might have been ment as a joke in the same vain " boys will be boys" or weebs calling themselves " men of culture" as much as Arab mythology and wisdom. Made ironic by the actions of the protagonist.

Here's a brief rundown of my current reading material: Oriental Stories and Magic Carpet full magazine run (I've got reprints from the 70s-now) and Far Lands, Other Days (from Wagner and Drake, circa 1975 at Carcosa), and "Satan's Daughter and Other Tales from the Pulps."
