I have this same cotton candy machine and here’s a trick to make it fluffier: put the stick thingy over the machine horizontally and spin it. Make sure you go fast or else it will melt. I mean, you would go to a carnival and see them spin it vertically, but it doesn’t work at home that well.
I actually got one for my birthday a few years back, it took a little getting used to but you definitely need to use both hands and spin the cone while moving it around the machine hope this helps

I’d recommend trying jolly ranchers, also personally, I use chopsticks to spin the candy because the cone was too big and it was deflating the cotton candy. I’ve also made it with regular sugar + a couple drops of some fruit extract!!

You can either put the stick in down low as possible to get a strong base and so it won’t flop over (like mine usually do), or you can let if gather up and then put it in, pull it back out, and let it attract!
