I like how the candies in the plastic wrap in the states are called "Smarties" where in Canada where I live those exact same candy are called "rockets"!
My question is have you ever tried using the hard Werther's candy in the cotton candy machine?

I have said this before but go on Amazon and get honey crystals (they are dry like normal sugar) to put in the cotton candy maker.

Here's a suggestion for something to make cotton and hard candy with (and maybe soda too, and possibly other types of candy):
Lipton Sweetened Peach Iced Tea Mix powder (the canister one which is made from cane sugar/sucrose)

As someone who has a cotton candy maker, hard candies make amazing cotton candy. I recommend mixing cherry and lime lifesavers, it makes delicious cotton candy

I have a nostalgia cotton candy machine and once I used peppermint discs and spearmint discs. Work amazing. It didn’t need to be blended and had to be placed in the center when the device was turned off.

I think that part of the reason cotton candy sugar is a larger grain size is because fine powder blows away in the machine.
this is an Australian candy but here it is:

the ingredients are sugar, wheat, glucose syrup, citric acid,
eucalyptus oil, and menthol

With mine, it can use two small pieces of ANY hard candy or sugar-free candy, as long as it doesn’t have filling, or anything liquid-like. It helps by crushing them, too.
It is a lot smaller, and powder materials don’t work well.
Mine says not to use anything else so I’m worried to try
