One thing I have noticed watching several of the Night Music episodes is the absolute joy that Dave Sanborn shows. What a delight to play with so many different great musicians every week.
This show only lasted 2 seasons because it was great and ahead of its time! They suppressed it! All these episodes should be restored as a tribute to the music of David Sanborn, nuff said 🎷🎺🥁🎹🎸🎼🎵🎶🔥♥️
the >ENTIRE< "SKIN DIVER" album is FANTASTIC -- IMO -- produced by Peter Baumann (ex Tangerine Dream) !! Her voice puts chills up my spine -- unfortunately I hadn't found else of hers as unique... ...maybe what she did with Paul Haslinger (ex-Tangerine Dream also).
I knwo, right? I remember thinking that when I saw this during it's original broadcast. Ade Belew, E# and Hiram Bullock all playing these incredibly outside guitar solos, and I'm imagining Pops thinking, "What in the name of all that is holy ARE those boys DOING?!"
Oh my gawd I've never heard of this show. What a fantastic band!! Hakim/Alias/Miller/Bullock??? And Sandborn, which I though was kind of soft here is wailing! A great discovery!
This may be Adrian and Audie Belew's only live (to video) performance of Oh Daddy, a left-field Mtv hit; the video is worth dialing up, if only for the pink suit and matching guitar. I met Adrian after a Bears show at my local brewery, and he signed my Stratocaster. Then I told him a story about his former mother-in-law, Gracie; a legend among the naval airmen of NAS Cecil Field, FL. It was rumored that she consumed a case of Old Milwaukee, on the drive home after her shift at the Enlisted Men's Club. She could drink all the sailors under the table.
A section consisting of Adrian Belew, Hiram Bullock and Elliott Sharp skronking away simultaneously while a sexy female artist (Nona Hendryx) looks on approvingly. Kind of a dream come true for me.
One of the best episodes they ever did. I mean, every episode is amazing, but this one had a little extra something. Where else are you ever gonna see real musicians from all different backgrounds get together in such uplifting and transcendent ways? Even that weird bald dude contributed. And seeing Pop Staples not only roll with it all but genuinely get into it? Most of it anyway? Stuff for the ages here.

The best musicians from the Glory BULGARIA 🇧🇬 my beautiful country 🇧🇬

It's such a crime that this show only lasted two seasons. What a never-ending cast of amazing musicians and music.
this is pure gold. Ivo Papasov and Balkan music in general is rhythmically from another dimension
The first time I ever saw Night Music. Changed the way I hear music forever.
Nona Hendryx...her body and artistic vision is forever banging. #respect
Ivo Popasov is a heavy - the whole band is great. And his vocalist is so centred & composted - no pop-schlock histrionics -
The singer is Mariya Karafezieva, who is Ivo Papasov's wife.
I remember watching this in its entirety when it aired -HUGE fan of adrian belews solo work which is CRIMINALLY underrated .
Гордоста на България орк Тракия запомнете го във вековете ще оттеква музиката на тези музиканти 😢
Ivo Papasov Band the Best!
With all due respect, Papasov and his band make everyone else look like lite pop 😅 From another world.
Майкооо Луд е Легенда!
Ivo papasov The Best

Ivo Papasov were hands down the star of the show
Take me to the River - so awesome!
21:53 - Clearly music from the outer edge of the galaxy, with a detour via Bulgaria.
Е кои друг го е правил. Това
ИВО ПАПАЗОВ.. ИБРЯМА..
Martha Davis - what an amazing entertainer! Killer piano player and singer! @29 min in.
He ist King IVO PAPAZOV
Adrian Belew was so amazing as always no matter who he performed with.
One of Nona's best songs IMO

'No.....emotion....we won't show'......loved it! Can only imagine what was goin through poor Pops Staples head when the 3 guitars wiled out together.

Hiram Bullock (RIP) never got enough love when he was around. A damn shame.

The Song no emotion, where can I find this song? Is this a Nona Hendryx tune?
How bout Sandborn's quip to Nona Hendrix that she was wearing her school uniform...tres droll...tres
Not exactly Terpsichorean friendly Bulgarian wedding music. Cool, though...
Jay depends on who’s listening... ;) Bulgarian people dance to that and a lot more odd time signatures music.
bro what is that word you nerd
@@progfox it means music you can dance to.
@@jayburdification so just say that. who cares anyways lmao.
