How to make French Chew. This simple traybake has a soft, sponge cake base topped with a coconut, brown sugar meringue.

1 egg yolk
1 tbsp milk
3 oz/75g plain flour (all-purpose flour)
½ tsp baking powder
Topping
1 egg white
2 oz/55g brown sugar
