Awesome video as always! I've been told that the red lights on the FP1600 is a binary output essentially showing the same information as the onboard 7 segment displays. they are only illuminated when the door is open.
@NZ Fire And Security yeah, it must be quite hard. I want a panel, but the thing is, is that you can't just directly buy one from a seller or supplier, like Pertronic.
There are (to my knowledge) 3 different circuit types: non-indicating also called 1997, indicating also called 2003 and addressable. Non indicating is just a normally closed switch with nothing else really going on. Indicating has a switch, an led and what is essentially a dropper circuit, that circuit will signal the panel that is has activated and will light up an led to represent that. It is still conventional so on the panel you can only see what zone is in alarm but that’s basically how that works. And addressable is very similar to how it would work in the states

Nicley done once again. I when i was at a bakery i saw a fire alarm panel that was called the Sigma 5. Interesting choice of name i thought.
Woah, 1997? Sick! This is such a cool panel, no doubt! Nice one, man! Where do you get your panels?
I got this panel from the same person I got the f100a from. Unfortunately I don’t think you could find these anymore to buy.

what does it mean if a panel is indicating or not? we don''t use that term here in the states. I assume it means it is addressable with a slc loop?

Can you use a mini-gen for the FP1600?
If you got the 12v model, sure.
