This hardly seems like an attack. You getting this defensive over her is weird. For one, we all know as a character she is a good person, so her deal with the mafia was certainly never seen as a nefarious deal of a corrupt cop. The irony comes out from taking the context out of it. Which makes it funny, because we all know she is not really corrupt but out of context her actions can be interpreted as such.
Unfortunately, explaining the joke kills the joke. So hope you are happy getting defensive over something people in general already understand.
You know, I always imagined Judy and Nick at the Superhero Cafe talking to Superman and Batman about how they saved their city without massive collateral damage.

If I remember correctly, they never referred to anyone as animals in the movie, only mammals. In fact, I'm pretty sure they specifically said that only mammals evolved in the Zootopia universe.
The carnivores needed something unintelligent to eat.

After watching this multiple times with my kids never noticed the lack of birds and repitiles. Bird lives matter! Great job!
I seriously wonder if there are birds, fish, and other animals that are not shown, but in order to keep the peace, their bodies are harvested to feed the carnivores. Because if not, where are these species, and what are the carnivores eating? We never see any meat anywhere to the point that it's suspicious

I'm surprised you guys didn't bring up that in a movie about a society of animals coexisting that carnivores realistically would have to eat some other animals in order survive. Then again, I guess that explains why there were no birds in Zootopia; they all got eaten.
According to the film makers of Zootopia, the Carnivores eat bugs, fish and plant protein instead of other mammals. Because in this world, mammals evolved and became sapient, while bugs and fish didn't. In the movie there's a restaurant called Bug-Burga and a fish market in Tundra town.

I’ve always really wanted the camera pointed at Emmet for a bit longer. The more you learn about his life and associates throughout the movie, whether he’s good or bad, he’s undoubtedly an interesting individual! I feel like it was a miss not seeing a day in his life in Zootopia +
I think it's better that it wasn't directly stated? The whole point was that Emmett seems like a sweet and innocent otter, but he actually led a crazy secret life. That's the whole point of the movie, that people are more than what they appear to be on the surface.
It’s been over seven years. I think this is still one of the best modern Disney films.
I really hope they don't give it the "Ralph breaks the internet" treatment.

I think that it’s been stated that birds and reptiles have their own towns and cities. Still doesn’t mean there shouldn’t be at least a few in Zootopia.

Well humans are primates as well and they don't exist in Zootopia, so maybe that's why. And maybe ocean mammals live in their own cities in ocean. Land and ocean animals probably don't usually interact with eachother and they thecnically live in their own worlds.

The ending with the reptiles, birds, and other animals is so funny. It makes so much sense, why are those animals missing from the movie? I’ve always thought that. Zootopia is species-ist.
By all accounts, primates are either extinct or never existed in the world of Zootopia... For the Birds and reptiles... We have no idea what the official status is at this time... On my Blu-ray there is a segment talking about the Birds and reptiles possibly having cities of their own but no official confirmation on that... It is a possibility that the Birds and reptiles didn't evolve like the mammals did ... We will have to wait and see if we get those answers in Zootopia2... I so hope we do.

0:55 While I love savage Flash, this alternate outcome in the story kind of falls apart when you think about the context of the movie. First of all, I find it hard to believe that out of the entire police force that is looking for these mammals, they go after the tiny bunny cop with no resources. Second, they NEED Judy to solve this case because their entire plan hinges on the public finding out about the savage predators. Killing Judy is like Scar saving Mufasa before he can fall to his death.

Apparently the creators of the movie focused on making Zootopia a mammal populated world, though that does beg the question why there are no ape's or primates in the city, but then again I believe the directors stated that having apes in the city would make them resemble humans too much, which I understand. However I would be fascinated to see them explore the idea of other animal factions like reptiles, birds etc...
Im actually really looking forward to the sequel that's finally in development since I really liked the first movie and theres a lot possibilities and creative directions they could take the characters and world
their reasoning was that an evolved ape is a human, and the core concept is that animals evolved because humans didn't. In the zoot universe the whole ape/monkey family tree just doesn't exist.
Also i personally like the idea of keeping non-mammals non-sapient, that give more unique way of worldbuilding, like mongooses that eat snakes have reptile based cousines, fish are canonically food too, carnivores that NEED to eat meat to survive could still eat bird meat too.
You want to see an ape in society? Go to down town Chicago. Plenty of them running around

My favourite parts were Flash the sloth becoming savage, Judy revealing Emmet's secrets and the other animals protesting not being included in Zootopia. Why do I have a feeling the birds, reptiles and apes are references from other films that HISHE made a reference to? (The gecko is obviously is the mascot of GEICO) However, let's admit that the song at the end is hilarious. Well done, HISHE.

I don't think I realized the absence of some animals, but the ending parody sent me, lol.
To be fair regarding tasers you would probably need a much higher powered one to take down a some of the larger creatures.
Plot twist: It's all one taser with different settings. Foxes are level three, jaguars are level seven, Kodiak bears are eleven and still just knock them out.
That's why they specify it's a fox taser. If she used it on a mouse they'd be dead.
I agree it would make more sense to have a single taser with multiple settings though I can see that getting complicated in emergency self-defense situations.
Darn it, there should've been a bit with the scene where Nick and Judy meet. Say, at the part with the van that Woolter was driving. I mean, she could've arrested Woolter for almost running over Nick.
I've always wondered what the predators in Zootopia eat. And since there aren't any birds in the film, I always figured that along with fish and bugs, that's what they would eat.
The ending is truly an eye opener. And the Try Everything parody was great at least with Everything is Awesome got one called Everything is not Awesome. Disney could learn a thing or two from other sources.

I think keeping the Birds and reptiles as wild animals would make sense... More food options for the carnivores, Wildlife for nature and pets for the mammals to have... And it helps keep Zootopia unique ;3

YES! ZOOTOPIA! THE BEST MOVIE EVER! I blame it for subconsciously making me a furry without realizing it lol. But how can you help it when they're all so cute and fluffy!
I don't think that appreciating cute animal (or animal like) character designs makes one a furry. I suppose that can be a launching off point though.
