    This is the best video i have found for renal clearance on the internet. You really explain the in-depth of renal clearance, everyone else just glosses over the definitions without explaining the 'how' and the 'why'. I have learned a lot from this channel and I hope to learn even more from you.

    The best video for renal clearance in you tube. I was just memorising the formula and definition without understanding. Searched for many more videos at last I found it.

    Wow ma’am real thankful. I recently discovered your channel and since then, I don’t search the topics by name, I rather search “Topic Physiology Open” Because not only your concepts are super clear, but also they are short videos which saves time. So thank you so much, really grateful, plz do keep making videos.

    Mam I have a question , in autoregulation of GFR it is stated that increase in BP will increase perfusion pressure hence increase in GFR but to regulate the GFR , afferent arteriole constrict that decrease GFR but in the same time in Long term BP control , there is rise of BP , and subsequently rise in GFR but here the GFR not reduced ... Why !!? I mean in both the cases there is rise in GFR but in autoregulation GFR is maintained but in BP regulation instead of increase in GFR , GFR is not reduced ....

    ma'am what's the difference b/w gfr and clearance rate... also how much plasma leaves the kidneys? is it 650- gfr?

    Loved the video.♥️♥️. I have some doubt though.
    1. Why do we need a substance PAH which gets secreted & not Inulin which gets 100% filtered, for calculating RPF ?
    2. After which point in circulation RBF becomes RFP ? Or is it just for calculation purpose to remove RBC ?

    • @PhysiologyOpen
      @PhysiologyOpen  2 года назад +2

      Filtered means ..it will check the percentage of plasma which is getting filtered, since only that much percentage of renal plasma flow is getting cleared of the substance. For RPF , we want whole plasma to get cleared of the substance. That can only happen when the substance is filtered as well as secreted

    • @PhysiologyOpen
      @PhysiologyOpen  2 года назад +1

      2. Since RBCs don’t get filtered and actually they are part of plasma only. So basically plasma is getting cleared of the substance. If there is a substance which is present inside RBCs as well as in plasma and both RBCs and plasma get cleared of the substance, then the substance will actually determine Renal blood flow.

    • @PhysiologyOpen
      @PhysiologyOpen  2 года назад +1

      This is not the case with PAH

    Mam you said that we can use this formula(Cu×V/Cp) only for substances which are freely filtered,
    But doesnt clearance means volume of plasma completely cleared of a substance , it can be cleared by filtration, reabsorption or secretion: so we can include them too in clearance
    So when we will use this formula, say in case of secretion: the value of clearance which we get will tell us about(filtration + secretion)
    Isnt it right??

    • @PhysiologyOpen
      @PhysiologyOpen  2 месяца назад

      No we can use the formula for calculation of tubular fluid concentration when the substance is freely filtered..
      This formula which you are asking can be used for clearance..so yes you are right

    UV ... Excretion Rate/P=== Renal Clearance
    Renal Blood Flow=Renal
    Plasma Flow/Serum Plasma(1-Hct)
    Secretion=Excretion - Filtration
    GFR= (Pg-Pb)-(πg-πb)/Creatinine or inuline clearence
    Renal Plasma Flow .... clearence of PAH...ERPF/ER
    FF=GFR/RPF
