"I drift not because it is a quicker way around a corner, but the most exciting way." Tsuchiya spoken by the "drift king" so you see, drifting is not always about speed, it's about making every turn fun.
The zipties are what hold the front bumper on in the first place. They use that so that when the bumper makes contact with something, the zipties simply snap and the bumper comes off in one piece with minimal damage. Then they just ziptie it right back on. If they permanently fix the kit to the car, the bumper will be crushed and they'll have to shell out another $200-$600 (or at least the equivalent in yen) for a new one.
Really good video, really good filming with angles and lights, never too dark even though it's night time. And no shaking with the camera either. Good sound as well! Very proffessional work! I enjoyed the video a lot!
In California there’s a place where I race called big bear mountain it’s a very steep hill that you have to go on to get to town. I feel like that the only hill that actually seems worthy to drift down or up in California
still 1 of my fav. videos! good to see some roughed up cars.. people who push their cars for fun rather then obsess over their custom paint job with a stone chip are win
oh my god i love this shit so much! i cant stand not having one of these cars. i cant wait till i get my license and enough money to by a decent silvia
Lol...these guys are just having fun. Dont worry about how much torque you have or how much power...its all within you. If you dont have the power. then just practice taking the lines. Never push in driving. If you're going faster than you can go, 9 times outta ten you'll crash. So just get your pass going practice it and just have fun with it. When you have enough experience and you know the road like the back of your hand, this video shows what could happen.
@@gripfk8 yeah ik that that was a year ago though now i didnt do much stuff on touge anymore(games ofc) by i mean grip is like you know Formula 1? they grip but i do drift sometimes back then
@@Alex-us8cs most street drifters "grip drift" or power slide also, with the major differences being less reliant on HP and spinning the tires as in Formula D. A true inertia drift is when you initiate by entering corners at the top speed all 4 of your tires can handle then countering the oversteer and accelerating through the corner. It's much less flashy most of the time but is generally the fastest way through a turn.
No the MR2 is a mid mounted rear wheel drive "MR", they have a natural tendancy for oversteer with very fast turn in! Its just that the weight is slightly rearward so there is alot of rear grip and moment in the rear, hence why they are hard to hold a drift with! Also that hatch you saw, was an Impreza Wagon, it looked like it was abit sideways, which is a fair effort for an AWD! Also, if you are keen eyed you might notice the Cefiro in there too!
Yeah i have to agree with the majority, this vid is definately one of the coolest kaido styled dori vids on RUclips ! Top effort for making this G0jira! A+++ domoarigatogozimasu :)

its true, the honda engineers built the s2000 for racing purposes, a more rigid chassis etc, not for sliding around, its pretty good for track and touge racing though, check out the j's racing s2000
You rarely hear the turbo spool up unless it's a single huge fucking turbo pulling huge boost. Most turbos are silent since the exhausts and/or engines are louder.
You know its true that alot of people in the south have no idea what drifting is. Its so crazy and they even had it on tv all the time in late 2007 and early 2008.
You're awesome man, thats the best damn video i've seen of drifting on youtube yet. Screw doing it on professional courses! Take it back to Mount Akina! lol
16 years later and still the greatest drifting video of all time for me. It's absolutely legendary.
And in america we slide in a empty parking lot and some how hit the only light pole there, the end.
sad thing is that ,that's true
nah we slide in an empty lot and the police get called
Totoandamigo Cause Americans don't understand the word fun
and they only race on straight tracks,. so boring
Or a mustang kills a crowd
repair segment part and other racing clips makes this whole thing like a beautiful drama
Doesn't get much more authentic than that
don't stop the music tonight
zhbvenkhoReload i was hearing this song and no one sleep in tokyo while watching this
This is easily one of, if not the best touge vids on youtube, It's soo well filmed, I love it when they are all on there at once
yup!
Can't believe that this video is 1 year older before i was born... damn they really be living the golden era jdm life.

Drifting mountain roads with very little margin for error makes for a great time.
