I have a Headrush, and thinking of adding the Trio+, and this video sealed the deal. I plan on an Acoustic original layer to 'teach', Acoustic overdub, then switch guitars to an Electric to solo over. Thanks for this!
Hi great video as usual. Some more informations ? If i use GarageBand or any daw, what is the Bes way ton connect all the stuff to the DAW ? via USB from headrush or via Trio+ to sound card ? And if I use mixer to send all the sound, what is the best way ? Thanks
Scott…. INCREDIBLE job on ALL your videos!! THANK YOU! I’m about ready to pull the trigger on the HRPB… love that all works with the TRIO+. What are you doing for sound in a live scenario with the Trio and the HR? I see you have the HR 112…where do you send the bass and drums for the Trio… and where is guitar signal going?? Thanks again!!
Right on! In this vid I was just using my mixer from the HR and the TRIO. What you could do is plug both sources into the FRFR108/112 if you'd like as it has two inputs.
Love your videos pedal guy I have been using my trio Plus into the effects loop of my Line 6 pod go and also running my boss SY1 into the effects loop of the trio + it all works good and sounds great you just have to make sure that the effects loop is at the end of the signal chain on the pod go I don’t know if all of this is right but I am curious to try the same kind of hook up you did with the head rush in this video what might the advantage be of your hook up ?
Can you please do this combine, with the Headrush MX5 and the Trio+ especially for incorporating the Drums into a loop. Which Looper should I use as CONTROL, because the MX5 seems to have more layers and storage but no Drums and the Trio+ has far less effects, less adjustment and control over the FXs. When connecting & Using the send & return, do the cables have to be Stereo ones ? You are the ONLY person who has thought about connecting these types together, so my only hope of resolving the problem of the NEW Headrush MX5 NOT having a drum machine in it.
Hi. Actually there's no need to shoot an additional video as it's essentially the same setup here that it would be with the MX5. As far as the looper goes, you can only use the TRIO in this configuration. The loopers will not sync up at all, so it's the TRIO looper or nothing. Hope that helps.
I have both the Headrush MX5 and the Digitech Trio +, and this video is helping me understand how I should connect them. My only question is whether or not the connections should change if I am routing both the Trio + and the Headrush MX5 output to my guitar amplifier. I am thinking I just need to connect the guitar amp out on the Trio + to the effects return on the Headrush MX5. Is that correct? Thanks
Well, yes that might work, but what about if you want to teach it parts? That doesn't quite complete the circuit, so I would probably give that a little more thought.
Hi Pedal guy nice videos hey do you happen to have a video or explanation on how to connect the Trio plus with the Boss GT1000? For some reason the way I have it connected, when I change the effect on the GT it also changes the tone of the trio guitar recording. Anything you may have would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
Yes. This set up worked fine with the MX5 & the Trio +. Great tutorial. This video also helped me configure and connect the SDRUM & JamMan to the MX5 while JamSynced where one rig runs through the JamMan and a separate rig runs through the lead guitar path. I was trying to figure out how to do that and this video helped me understand the looper effects function. Now I can, for example, run a clean chorus preset through the JamMan while at the same time run a separate stereo-distortion-pan delay through the lead (all while having a stereo drum set in sync with the loop). Very cool. Thanks for the tips.
Thanks for the video which I've tried to follow to connect my TRIO+ and NuX MG30 together and output through my Marshal AS100d Amp - but I just can't get it to work. Could you please explain how to make these connections with the MG30? Thanks
it seems that something is wrong: in headrush rig, the Fx loop is before the overdrive and the trio+ is connected to the phisical input of headerush; when in playback mode, trio+ plays the loop through the overdrive & amplifier (rig is serial, and fx loop is before) , then also drums and bass following the same routing chain . Is there something I haven't understood? Do you use the monitor output on the trio+ to have the loops on one channel and the guitar on the output, then combining it all with a mixer at the end?
As far as the outputs are concerned, both TRIO outputs and the Headrush outputs are fed to an external mixer, which is what was used to record the video. It's a pretty simple connection.
@@ThePedalGuy is it possible to put other things through the fx loop? Like the output of a mixer, keyboard, PC? 🤔 Would this act as a second input and let me loop other instruments aside from guitar?
Not the exact same steps as the Ampero doesn’t have a send and return. But you can do something similar to the setup I did with the NuX MG300. Here’s the link ruclips.net/video/dqwmt2bmFkY/видео.html
Iv bought the trio band creator plus loop. Just wondering, best way to hook this pedal up to guitar and my marshall valve amp or is it better to connect the trio drums and bass to my fender practice amp and guitar to my marshall???
Thanks Pedal Guy - I've been looking for a solution for connecting my TRIO+ and MG30 for playback through my Marshall AS100D acoustic amp so I thought I would use he connections explained in your video but substituting the MG30 for the Headrush. All seemed to work fine at first in that I could hear MG30 tones through the amp. I could also teach the TRIO+ a sing part. The problem came when I attempted to record a loop on the TRIO+. I started the loop recording on the TRIO+ and the red light on the looper starts flashing. When I start to play, the flashing red light changes to a steady red light indicating that recording is taking place. At the end of the song part the looper stops and the steady red light changes to green indicating that recording has finished. However, on playback of the song part there is no sound from the looper! Can anyone explain why this is?
Thanks for the question Colin. I've had a lot of questions on how to do what I've demoed here with NuX, Hotone, etc. I might do a follow up vid to demo this. It's essentially the same procedure that I've described in this video as far as the connections go.
@@ThePedalGuy Thanks for responding. Yes, I followed your connections in the video and everything works fine except that I'm not able to record a loop on the TRIO+ with atone from the MG30. It looks as though it's recording but doesn't. Strange as I have no trouble teaching the TRIO+ a song part using this set up. Could be something to do with activating the send/return in the software of the MG30?
Hi Scott, good morning, (I left this same post on another video re: FS3X also) I am wondering what I am doing wrong. My Trio plus often refuses to "learn". At first I thought there might be something already in there so I tried to erase it, that did not work. The red light flashes to indicate that it is armed but it won't take my input signal from the guitar & play it back on green. Does it have to do with parts sequencing? Also, if I switch to loop it will not record also. I tried powering it off & on again, & have checked my connections. There is something simple that I am doing wrong. Any suggestions?
@@ThePedalGuy Hey Scott, Thanks for your suggestions. I had tried the hard reset previously.
