I just got mine and have watched a bunch of Trio Plus videos. I like when you said "learning together". Making a song from scratch excellent idea. I got a lot from your video as I learned from your learning. I don't understand the thumbs down ratings on any video. If someone doesn't like what they see or hear just move one. Thank you for taking the time to put this together.
Thanks man I really appreciate the comment! I hope you get a lot out of that little pedal, it's really great!
Very usefull. This is the best trio band plus tutorial I've seen so far.
Really encouraging and motivating.
Thank you so much.
Thanks!!! I really appreciate the comment. I hope the video helps you make some music! 😉🎸
The gtr FX changes based on the Genre knob (plus the variation) .
Real world exposition of a top notch invention and product.
exactly! It's a great practice tool!
Thanks 👍 I believe the trio is a great pedal but it's complex and almost like learning a new instrument so you need to apply a lot of time to it, you simplify it really well.
Thank you John! You are right, you do have to treat it as a new instrument. once you learn to use it quickly though, you can get your ideas down wherever you are. I really enjoy that I can have the trio, 1 guitar and headphones and actually make music.
I’ve watched a lot of these videos on the Trio Plus and I enjoyed yours a lot cause you actually just did what I would do when I have mine! 😆 thanks
Thanks Isaac! it's a really cool tool. It helps if you are a one-man-band and during the quarantine, it was a lifesaver!
Are you still digging it or it's sold?
@@Neil-Aspinall me or Ben? I got mine and at first I played it a lot and then I let up a bit. I don’t have a great space or set up to do what I want with it. There’s a bit of a learning curve with the pedal and if you want to use an external speaker in addition to the amp you will have to figure out if you like that or consider buying a mixer would be my suggestion to a serious player. Otherwise it’s a fun pedal if you have a decent amp. I really wish I practiced more but I primarily play acoustic.
I tend to get better results if I play the rhythm parts thinking as a bass player. What I mean is use single note lines instead of arpeggio strumming with the guitar. In any case the trio + is a very nice practice tool and aong writing tool to have at your disposal...
Absolutely! After using it for a while that's what I started doing too, just to get the bass and general rhythm right and you can then build off that.
Good job! got my trio+ a week ago, it´s a really useful tool for songwriting
yes it is! primarily I use it instead of a metronome and for song ideas. Awesome, welcome to the club!
Nice! I got 1 of these are few months back!
yes it's a cool little device! It really helps when you don't have a band ;)
@@BenZitoMusic True!
Nice. Very helpful to see your process.
The very beginning sounded like "I had some help"! By morgan wallen and that other guy.
Do you think I should go ask for royalties?? Haha just kidding 🤣
I hope you also discuss the base.
Will you do another video explaining how to rearrange the order of the various parts? Including how you got it to play some parts twice? Great video, very useful and inspiring.
Hey thanks! Yes I can make a video explaining some details like that. The arrangement and how many time each part is played is controlled by the song sequence on the top of the pedal where it says SEQ. You press that and then the number of the part. If you want the part twice you press it 2 times when making the sequence. I hope I explained it well enough 😀. Thanks for commenting!!
. This was very informative. You demoed the song build and basic features very well.
It would be terrible to have to buy without seeing some decent demo comparisons.
Thanks for sharing
Glad it was helpful!
Thank you so much... So helpful😁
I have been studying see if I can use this with my violin. You got some nice improv, subbed.
Thanks for the sub! Not sure if it can be used with the violin. When I use the guitar to "teach" it what to play I keep it very simple, mostly strumming the chords and not fingerpicking complicated music.
supercool!!!
How do you like the harley benton guitar ? It sounds ver good to me. Any complaints about it?
Hey Alberto! I really like HB. I have 2 acoustic , 2 electric and a bass and I will probably get a few more.
this was my first experience with the Trio+ too. oddly enough, it was dialed in on my first try. then i wanted to change the chord sequence, so i deleted the part. nothing worked as expected from there. there's gotta be a finicky sequence of steps that one has to go through that i haven't quite figured out yet. i'll put in the time to learn it because there's nothing like the Trio+. but that's also the problem; the pedal isn't smart enough yet and unfortunately we don't have alternatives.
It's a great little standalone pedal although there are things I wish it would change or have more features. I do find myself using my DAW more to practice and come up with new ideas, than the Trio+ but as a standalone band in a box it's good
The pedal is very smart but you have to understand how to get the best out of it. When teaching the Trio a chord progression don't try and perform the song - just strum the simple chords at the tempo you want. Don't use frills , finger picking or any kind of syncopated strumming which will confuse it. The trio doesn't care - just want s to know the chord and the time signature. You can also play a very simple bassline instead of chords which also works quite well.
WOW! I love writing texts. I never thought I could turn them into a song! How useful!
we should colab, I put the music, you put the words!
very cool
How to do this with out starting and stopping? A whole song no stopping?
yes the buttons on the top that look like LEDs are the various parts of the song and you can press them in a sequence, for example 1 intro, 2 verse ,1 chorus, then 2 verse again, 2 chorus and 1outro and it will automatically do that sequence and then stop at the end
Ok,..nice attempt but I must mention that you didn’t use it well or properly witch most likely prompted the edits in the video.
Here’s my suggestions:
1) Noticed in the video that your Guitar was direct,..along with FX used thru the guitar input...it’s best to use the provided FX send & return for use of pedalboards or preferred stomp boxes.
The Trio+ requires a “clean” signal from the instrument used to process and have it’s features function properly for better desired results!
2)It’s always best to prompt the tempo by pushing in the related button of the part to be recorded as to “sync” the new part to the prior one done!...this guarantees the parts mesh in tempo!
3)The Looping!...each “recorded loop” can have it’s level pre-adjusted by varying the recording loop levels via the control knob...one can “layer” in each loop to the desired “mix” if you will,..and can achieve better quality mixes of loops to later balance with the Bass & Drums using their level controls and acquire top notch,..dynamics in playback!
Anyway,..all of the above are noted in the unit’s manuals and online @Digitech so you can see for yourself there ok!!!✌🏾
It’s good to see that folks are still enjoying this killer pedal as much as I do almost every day!!..(so many great uses!)
I use it for practice, rehearsals and shows professionally!!...🎶✨🎸🎛👍🏾
Keep up the good work and sure hope that you upload more Digitech Trio+ videos!!...☺️👌🏾Keep on Rockin’!!🤘🏾✨🎶🎸🎛
wow! Thank you for the advice! and for taking the time to write the comment! Ever since I made the video I have played around with more of those features that you just mentioned and you are absolutely right! It's a great little tool. I still use it primarily to develop some ideas and practice. I never thought of changing the looping volume to layer the loops though, great tip! Keep Rocking too!!!
Any idea how to record a whole solo during the complete song ? If you press the loop switch it overdumds and overdums over and over...
@FlamesAt1000ft, do you have a channel where we can see what you do with this pedal?
@@Delamorena7 Yes, use an external recorder best to connect via the headphones out. A small digital recorder e.g Boss BR-80 is ideal
- Ciao Ben, anche io ho una HB35 plus ed un Tiro plus.....il tuo video è stato molto esplicativo e cercherò di replicare la tua canzone per imparare (ma la userò solo per scopi privati)......intanto un grande grazie
- Hi Ben, I also have a HB35 plus and a Tiro-plus ..... your video was very explanatory and I will try to replicate your song to learn (but I will only use it for private purposes) ...... meanwhile, a big thank you.
Thanks Alessandro! The Trio Plus is a great tool to help you make music! Have fun!!
Молодец )
Great video!! Do you think that the trio+ can be used for live performance of a guitarist/Singer? Or it's only for home use. Thank you!
Hey Giannis, yes it could be used in a live gig. the micro SD card can hold up to 12 songs. if you have 2-3 cards you could do a whole performance. Thanks for commenting!
@@BenZitoMusic how many gigabytes micro card would hold 12 songs?
Thanks for sharing the video 👍
how did you get the music you created in the trio plus into the video
I recorded it on my computer through my soundcard and then I synced it with the video in final cut X
@@BenZitoMusic thank you
explain the 4 wire pluge deal?
on the right a) guitar in b) FS3X footswitch controller (you get it separately) and on the left c) out to a mixer (only for the sounds of bass and drums) and d) guitar out to amp. However, if you want, you can only have one out to a mixer and if you don't have an out to amp connected it understands it and channels everything (bass drums and guitar and looper) to the mixer. I hope my description explains it well. cheers!
how did you keep the trio from distorting after applying overdrive? im using amp distortion not pedals. im confused.
I can't really remember what I did back then but if you see the distorted guitar came in when I turned up the volume of the guitar and changed the pickup. I think it was generally clean sound direct to my sound card in 2 different channels recorded at the same time(one channel for drums and bass and the other had the looper and guitar ).
How do you save songs ?’
It pretty much saves the song as you go. Under the style knob, there is a button that says "song". You press that and you can change the song using the "style" knob. you can save 12 songs on a mini SD card. and there is software in order transfer to the computer. I would recommend 2-3 mini SD cards to have more songs to play with.
@@BenZitoMusic Thanxs Ben
⅞
Do you play it through your amp ok ?
If it's a clean amp yes. Although I just connect it to a mixer so I can separate the bass&drums from the guitar&looper
🤣
;)
Just speak more lively pls next time ..ty
It was past midnight and the fam was asleep... I am happy I made it anyway. Now I make my videos in the morning so stay tuned! Thanks for watching 😉🎸
probably be wise if you learned how to use it before video
