Thank you Don Giller, you know in all seriousness as a great fan of sctv...the time you put in getting this together! Lets hear for Don Giller everyone !!!
Big Donny G!
Thanks for this. Also enjoy the intermission pictures during breaks.
Thank you Don. I enjoyed these interviews a lot. SCTV was my favorite show growing up.
These are the best SCTV interviews ever.
When Bob Costas talks about the show he seems to be a big fan and knows his questions. He almost gushes about the show. He's done his job here and one of the best interviews I've seen. Looking forward for more of Costas. Thank You Don
Yeah…but who cares?? lol
@@drew1964able, especially not your warden..
Thank you for re reminding me how much joy Mr. Short has given me. He is a gift I will always treasure. Thank you very much for sharing.
Don, you are my favorite electronic archeologist.
I don't remember exactly how i discovered SCTV, but i do remember being mad at the guy who was on every other Friday instead of SCTV, and soon figuring out that that guy was David Letterman and i was as big a fan of him as i was SCTV. So much great comedy back then!
Fantastic collection. I think i saw every one of these back then. The Andrea Martin one is oddly confrontational haha.
The Donz dropping Costas interviews again! Take all my thanks!
So weird hearing Levy’s normal voice after all those years of him in movies
I love all these guys and am a huge SCTV fans. Thay all seem genuinely humble and genuinely nice people, in addition to being so talented.
Candy's William B fake laugh breaks me up still... after 45 years... every single time. It's just contagious.
Any excuse to see Catherine O'Hara..I stop everything to see n hear her..she is the most beautiful, funny and charming woman..
I love it when Eugene starts talking like Bobby Bittman for Costas.
"How are ya?!"
Best part is seeing John Candy laugh so hard thinking of the scenes and bits that everyone else has laughed at for so long. God, I wish he was still around!
Yes indeed.
Thank you so much for posting this. Great watch. SCTV was the best.
Great compilation...this show is still the very best thing Costas ever did...I must say!
I deleted all of the SCTV, film, and other tv clips to ensure there’d be no copyright blocks. There were six songs (played under the actor montages) that were copyright-claimed by their content owners, but no penalties. It just means they monetize their content. Which is fine and just. I monetize nothing on my channel.
Still, it would have been nice to include those video clips had any potential blocks not be hanging over my head.
@@dongiller That's unfortunate (though totally predictable..) but given the enormity of the talent being interviewed clips really aren't necessary. I'd forgotten just how good Costas was on this show--as a hardcore SCTV fan (going back to Show 1, 1976 in Canada) his knowledge of the show is most impressive. I say again, great compilation.
I use to watch this program all the time
Thanks a lot for these interviews.
John Candy.........legend!
Awesome collection! Would love to see you post more episodes of Later.
I plan to once they’re all digitized. And thanks!
I always thought Catherine O'Hara was 🔥
Without a doubt. Beauty and talent, the entire package! Loved her in A Mighty Wind, with Christopher Guest, Eugene Levy and co.
AMazing when Harold is asked if he thinks the new ghostbusters will be as big as the original. "Its not gonna be a Police Academy 6". HAHA! I dont like the 2nd nearly as much as the 1st one. Had always hoped for a 3rd one but once i heard Harold had died i had no interest in anything "Ghostbusters". I grew up on Caddy Shack, Stripes etc. Harold was one of the funniest people and great writer. He is missed as is John who was another person i grew up watching i mean i watched SCtv on blank tapes that my parents had used to record episodes on for years and of course you had the big movies he was in. Its funny when you begin to connect the dots with all of these guys and where they came from and the background and what not. Thanks for posting this. Without Harold and some of these other talented funny people we would not have some of the movies we have. "Classic's"
John Candy.......the best.
Thanks, Don!
It's nice to see Martin Short in an interview where he is not attacking the interviewer.
God bless Don Giller!
Is it just me or have I watched too much SCTV? Does Bob Costas remind you of Rick Moranis doing a Bob Costas impersonation? Good Stuff. A good channel. Subscribed ☑️
haha you are so right
Harold Ramis was the best.
Man,... Love every one of these, but halfway through Andrea Martin I had to scan ahead and see if Joe Flaherty did one… everybody but 😢
Or you could have just read the description.
Yeah.... bouncing around the vast exhausting Internet, I often do read the descriptions and most of if not all of the comments… But sometimes you just say "lemme watch the video"
19:01 At least one beautiful SCTV man appeared.
Great to see this. SCTV players and Bob Costas! Ty. Quick question, did
Short win the Tony award?
Not until 1999.
@@dongiller OK, thanks. So, back in 1990, on Costas he would've gone with the, 'those hacks, what do they know..."
😎👍
Mel Brandt was the announcer for "Later?" I guess I learn something new every day.
I think you mean Bill Wendell.
The John Candy stuff was epic!
Wow Costas is infatuated with Shorts character Ed Grimley.
I must say, Ed was a handsome little fella.
Any news about the Scorsese's documentary?
Not in the loop.
Thanks… but where is Rick Moranis? And Joe Flaherty? I guess he never had them as guests.
Yes, good guess Einstein.
@@sralyn Obviously they weren't on or they would have been included and the information would be in the description. Good luck with the brain transplant.
Thanks for reading the description.
@@GooseOD Now you hurt my genius feelings. Not everything I say is the Theory of Relativity you know.
@@GooseOD Thank you, I’m getting a smaller one, your size, so I can listen to it roll around in there.
can you do the same thing you do for david letterman and bob costas or other talk shows you did for conan o brain and jay leno cause those are hard to find, but i would love that. I miss those two, I like what Ramis said about doing other stuff rather than acting, and thats a great outlook, if i ever become something like that, its directing and writing, and do a movie whenever it comes, and thats what i get when seeing his movies. I might check his work out i like the guy. Not a big fan of his son, a little crazy for my taste, harold is level headed i remember knowing about him on movie fights on screen junkies back in the day.
I can’t prepare a collection from sources I don’t have. You’ll have to ask someone who recorded Conan and Jay.
@@dongiller okay thanks
😂 (btw/Bob Costas, the word is "expound",not "expand"...)
Aren't both of those sort of related?
Expound- add elaborative data through explanation or description..
Expand- add data thru more detailed explanation or description, or even a different aspect..
Similar, right?
If there's something fun...
And it looks real good...
Who ya gonna watch? ...
_The Donz!_
The Donz Clusters..
Bob looks like Matthew Broderick. They could be brothers. Probably are 🤣
back before costas did the plastic surgery hair dye thing
