Love the video, looks very easy to do. Will definitely try. The best part is to see the little girl getting involved and her smile enjoying it at the end. She needs to be in commercials she is very pretty an convincing.
Hello Ria. Again I am older then you but you brings memory of my childhood. My mom makes this many times. Now you are showing me this, I think you are letting me know that I must make it for my self and my family. Thank you for teaching me to make this. Bye
Love♥️your video, surely Will try.. I was Born in Suriname But live in Holland.. know this sort of gulab jamuns, Very yummie😋 btw the little girl is So adorable😍😍 grts from Holland Zoë 😘😘
Please note that gulab jamun originated in Iran/Persia, same as jelebe, not from India. The names of these sweets tells their origin because the words are Persian/Arabic. It was therefor a sweet made by the muslims who then brought it to India. Sorry, but I like to give credit where credit is due.
Omggggg. 😍😍😍🙌🏾💯😊😮 When I make this, I will definitely add the milk powder to finish it off! I have a few requests if and when you have the time: murtani, sahari and lapse, modak, barfi, and kitchri... Please keep the videos coming!!!! Blessings to you and your family🤗🤗🤗
By the way, while I am at it, samosas ALSO originated in the middle east same as biriyani and barafi as the names suggest. Just thought I would say in-order to inform that not everything that we thought originated in India is from there.Times have changed and access to information is rife so we might as well use it to get to the truths as opposed to the perceived truths especially for those who cannot recognise origins of certain words which should set their minds thinking.
Julie Alexis thanks 1 1/2 cups water and 1 1/2 cups sugar. You may or may not use all depending on your preference and the time it takes to come to the right consistency will vary.
CookingWithRia thank you so much ,bye the way I love all your videos my sister showed me your site god bless you and your family ,looking out for more .
@@CookingWithRia yessss I did.. probably it was too moist.. 😭 gonna try today again..this time I'm going to use less milk and butter, I was just watching your video again to see where I made the mistake and I heard you say a little softer than roti, so I'll try that this time.. wish me luck!
Tamia Jackson You definitely need the amount of milk powder and butter called for in the recipe for taste. As you saw on the video, only very little water was added to bring the dough together! I would only decrease that. Next time I make it I will update the recipe with the amount of water required.
I just love all the versions Trinidad, India Gulab Jamoon and Jamaican festival all so morish, tasty and addictive. Great video🙂Thanks for sharing Ria
I’ve never had any desire to make Indian Gulab Jamun. But these look delicious! The little girl is adorable. Hope she likes to help her mom..

Can brown sugar be used to make the syrup?
You could try but it won’t taste or look like the traditional.
Can we use margerin instead of butter? And milk instead of milk powder?
Yuh mash them up with this one Ria
Yummy❤
CCan you put the ingredients and measurements in English in the description box?

Gulab Jamun is supposed to have almost equivalent flour and powder milk...It's not supposed to be doughy with that amount of flour...
I don't know any other recipe that uses baking powder for this
Give it a try. Made by my sister in law who makes it regularly for the temple folks and poojas. It’s extremely delicious. Best I’ve ever tasted.
I hate kurma but love Gulab Jamoon, go figure???
I don't know what happened to mines.. but it fell flat in the oil...😭😭😭😭😭
Tamia Jackson Did you use baking powder?

@@CookingWithRia Thank you for that, just in the nick of time! lol.. I will let you know how it turns out this time!!
Tamia Jackson good luck! I’m here if you need me!
Don’t put baking powder in that sweet product

How essential is the cardamom?
Gives it a unique taste. Would not be as interesting without it, however if you don’t like the taste of cardamom you can eliminate it.
My sister hates cardamom so I leave it out
