Lets make is straight. The humans in this universe are not like us. 10K years grudge? Martin either just provided some spectacular figures for entertainment purposes, or those humanoids in this universe aren't actually humans. How is it even possible that one regime thrived for thousands of years, the regime of nobility. In human history, we had nobility, then just warriors, then nobility, then warriors, no dynasty ever lasted for more than 700 years and in this universe, most of the nobility (some vassals), existed for thousands of years. So many of them, for such a long periods. No social evolution at all.

@@trigzzfrl3013 the whole first season was nothing but time jumps and now this season has been 3 episodes so far only taking place within 1 week from the end of season 1. The pacing in this show is inconsistent and it’s jarring.

@@trigzzfrl3013 game of thrones was ruined by the writing of dumb and dumberer. Ever since the beginning game of thrones was always criticized for skipping battles. In the early seasons they skipped almost every single battle of rob stark and skipped almost every siege in the first 3-4 seasons. Then dumb and dumbass ruined the rest of the seasons by completely ignoring any pacing and just wrote the battle scenes without any build up at all. In HOD there has been nothing but build up so far. GOT was also gonna be 10 seasons instead of the 8.5 seasons we got which contributed a lot to the turbo speed run pacing in the last two seasons where everyone was teleporting into different scenes.
TLDR skipping battles was kind of ok in GOT case because there was a lot of other interesting plot lines going on but House of the dragon will suffer heavily from skipping battles because there's nothing else really going on other then the civil war and throne dispute. If they skip what few battles there are then it's all just gonna be ''Build up'' and nothing to show at the end.
