- The Dance Of The Dragons is full of huge battles the likes Westeros had never seen before, but not all vital and important battles need to be huge fields of blood. The Battle Of The Burning Mill is maybe one of the first proper battle in the dance, and while a small battle that was in a way a proxy battle between House Blackwood and House Bracken, it would shift the tides of the war from Aegon ii favor to that of Rhaenyra and set of a chain reaction that influences the whole war

The Dance Of The Dragons will be the focus of the plot of the new HBO spin-off House Of The Dragon coming in 2022. So if you want to learn the story before we see HBO's take on it then this will be a very long-running series. Game Of Thrones / House of the dragon are HBO shows based on Geroge R R Martins A Song Of Ice And Fire series. The information in this video comes from the books a world of ice and fire as well as fire and blood.

I love the rivalry between the Bracken and the Blackwood: they hate each other and they shouldn't even know why
Exactly neither of them can really even remember why anymore. The Blackwoods think the Brackens poisoned their weirwood. Both sides claim they were kings before the Andals came and the other were upstarts. The ironborn likely encouraged the feud. Every marriage between them (yes the obvious solution has been tried multiple times) seems to end in tragedy or the sides go back to war soon after.

I think the Brackens and the Blackwoods were simply looking for an excuse to restart their longstanding feud, using the larger civil war as a convenient cover
Tensions are already high and then the stability was taken away. The 100 years war in real life started over a cattle dispute between two feuding families. It didn't last 100 years, but they decimated their own population and it took 100 years to clean up. Imagine being a 16 something picking up an 80 year old corpse and being like, I never thought I'd see this road this clear of bodies
My god the Dance seems way more interresting in the books than what we got on TV

It goes to show how used the realm was to peace that one small battle fought mostly as a local conflict had such a ripple effect. Jaeharys and Viserys had given the realm a long period without major internal conflict. Daemon capturing House Bracken’s seat was expected with his dragon but the fact that resistance collapsed in the riverlands afterwards was significant.
Fear of Dragons truly does wonders for a war effort. Even when both sides have them
Don’t think anyone want to see what Caraxes would do to there army and believe me Daemon would show them the true meaning of fire & blood.
The riverlands like their namesake, would at first be small ripples, that hold the potential to become a flood

Hey I never asked; which map are you using?
It's custom made, but using the map from The Lands Of Ice and Fire as a template. As it turns out even the detailed westeros version is missing loads of key places such as Raventree hall so i need to go back and add them in and finish Essos. Just the file size is getting unworkable which is why its taken so long to even get it to this point

@@bub6010 a single scene interaction isn't deep investment. It would be like showing the Dance of Dragons immediately after Aemond's eye was taken. We have now established in the show that they have an untraceable rivalry and had started a chain of events where more important battles will take place with them under it.
