      My Steam Deck wouldn't sleep for some reason. I could hard shut it down by holding its power button, but couldn't sleep with a game open. Went to a bunch of forum and help pages, and then one random Reddit comment from months ago was like, "Take out the SD card and put it back in." That was it. This happened to me quite recently, where my Nintendo switch got stuck in the logo screen and my games said there was some "corrupted data". • @NagKai_G
      @NagKai_G Год назад

      @@Hoshimaru57 the funny thing is that the answer (or what I personally had to do) was "press the power, sound up, and sound down buttons all at the same time for around 10 seconds and then select the second option to factory reset your switch without losing your save data. Now that you can actually use your switch, re-enter your Nintendo account when entering the Nintendo Eshop so that you can re-download any games you had previously bought digitally. But when you do remember to cancel the downloading process so that you can click on the program and initiate the corrupted data searching. If it turns out negative (no corrupted data found) then great! But if it turns out positive then tough luck because if by around 24 hours you turn your switch back on and it still turns out positive the you found the program with the actually corrupted data... ...which might spread... ...AND HAVE TO DO IT ALL OVER AGAAAAIIIINNN"
      It is just an incredibly complicated process, and I might have exaggerated a bit with the end but at this point I'm already tired of writing this answer. Have a good life.

    Better than the StackOverflow experience of finding a question with your exact issue from five years ago only to find it didn't have an answer. Bonus points if you had asked it originally but just forgot.

    - hey i have this obscure issue
    - did you try doing this thing you've read on 30 different websites that try to fix this problem?
    - it did not work
    - nvm found the solution!
    post from 6 years ago:
    - hey im having this same issue, what was the solution?

    One such example of a time Reddit couldn't answer me question was when this such issue occured:
    I bought a new Logitech mouse to replace my Viper one and for some reason whenever I moved my mouse horizontally, the cursor would move diagonally. I tried other mice and for some reason EVERY SINGLE other mouse which wasn't my razer mouse had the same issue. I'm not sure why but it was like an unspoken issue on the internet. Most Reddit threads I found on it said to simply get good at holding your mouse. Thanks Reddit ;---;

    I recently had an issue setting up my new tv and soundbar. Couldn't get the TV to play sound from the soundbar, spent 1 hour looking on both companies websites to get no where, go on reddit "hey there's an obscure system in the tv that takes 20 seconds to turn on that they changed like 3 years ago heres how you find and change it" but the tv company never updated their manuals/website to tell people that you literally have to go through 3 system settings and even then it's still hidden waaaay at the bottom.
