Ron, I’m impressed with the vision and detail assembly of the carport. You make it look extremely easy. The only recommendation I have is to wear nitrile gloves when working with MEK. MEK is a ketone that is absorbed directly into the skin. I realize that you are working with small quantities but caution should be exercised especially if young modelers are present or using this product. I really do enjoy your videos. I’ve learned much. Thanks again.

Hi, Marc. Thanks for the word of caution. I will admit that I grew up on a farm with a depression-era father and developed some bad habbits in some of these kinds of safety areas. I have been working to develop better habbits over the past several years, but sometimes one's brain goes into auto pilot and one forgets. Thanks for the reminder for me and all the viewers.

Ron, the most informative part for me was the method and manner in which you extended the kit with the brick carport that you scratch built. I found the way you matched the facade helpful.

I don't think it matters what scale you choose to model, well I can't speak for everyone, but I believe that this model railroad community that we a associated with, would probably say that all in all, we are here to hopefully introduce and expand the world of model railroading, to include new modelers and reintroduce the hobby to people that were in it before. and to grow the hobby more. Does anyone else think the same as I do, or am I the only one. Looking forward to seeing other comments about this. 🚂🚃🚃🚃

Good morning Mike. I have watched your video tutorial on setting up the digitrax AR-1reversal machine. both the written instructions that come with the unit as well as your clear visual tutorial are real easy to follow and understand yet two questions that I have are not addressed and was wondering if you could help me
AA/the instructions as well as your video show that the AR-1 derives its power from the track too the unit from outside the loop- my question would be.....instead of attaching those wires too the track beyond the loop could one just as easily power the AR-1 from the BUSS LINES?
BB/ my loop to which the out feed wires will be attached too is of course isolated at both ends from the remainder of the layout coming off the right hand turnout. My question in that regards is : Is there any limit to the size of the isolated loop other than of course whatever train you put in the loop has to fit completely inside that isolated loop. My plans call for a very very large loop-much larger than anything I have seen demonstrated I plan on having about 60 ft of Peco code 55 N scale track within that loop. Will this be too much for that little AR-1 to work with? If so then what would the recommended max amount of track footage would you recommend

Hi, Michael. I don't know if Mike will see your comment since it is on my video, and this question would have been better posted on the video in question, but I believe I an answer your questions.
      A) Powering the AR-1 from track is a simplification. Bus power is track power, so yes it would be better to power your AR-1 with feeders off of your main bus line.
      B) The AR-1 will handle the amount of track you are suggesting, but you will want to run a sub-bus out of the AR-1 and run feeders to the track in the reversing loop like you would elslewhere on your layout. I would suggest a set of feeders at least every 15 feet, thus 4 sets for what you are suggesting. I hope this helps.

Ron's Trains N Things hello Ron. First of all I am a subscriber to your channel and not to Mike Fifer’s. He did reply and politely stated that he does not conduct business on someone else’s channel ( in this case your channel). I am relatively new to all this and realize now that my question was out of line and subsequently have gone over to his site and subscribed as of about half hour ago. However I have not as yet re posted the question to him. And now I see where you have so graciously replied and answered both of my questions. Thank you very much for replying to my questions especially since they were off topic and not even directed to you.
