- The instant I saw pictures of these new heart-shaped blushes from Too Faced popping up online, I KNEW I had to have (at least) one. With packaging this pretty I just hoped that the actual product performed well... did it? Or is it a total flop on the face??╰། ᵒ̌ д ᵒ̌ ╬ །╯

Fun fact! These actually don't have any glitter flakes! I work for Sephora and our Too Faced rep explained that these have a "full pearl" that will reflect light from every angle, so it LOOKS like it's glittery but it's not. Compare them to the Hourglass highlighters which have a "crushed pearl", you can see the difference in how they both reflect light. Always love your videos, Cassie! Can't wait for the next one :)

Fraener Do they look glittery though? Do you know if the formula of these is similar to the candlelight glow ones? Because I LOVE how those don't look like glitter! I bought a Jeffree Star one and it's like putting straight glitter on your face😫
I love how real your videos are, i'm sick to death of youtubers trying to portray the perfect life with special lighting, filters and pristine backgrounds, posting vlogs of themselves eating out all the time and travelling all over the place, who actually lives like that?? I have my brightness on my phone turned all the way up and I can only baaaaaarely see any highlighter on your face. It doesn't look like anything really. The package is cute though.
Arie G in person it is really beautiful but I feel like she just applies it very lightly to her taste. It's one of the best and least glittery highlighters I've ever searched
Arie G i think the issue is that she applies it too high up. Higher than where her cheekbones actually are so the light doesn't hit it
Arie G she is applying it correctly. The issue is that this highlighter is very subtle. Its more of a sparkly glow than a metallic higlighter such as ABH Glow Kits or Becca Shimmering Skin Perfecters. This highlighter could easily be foiled to get a much more intense sheen by dampening your brush with some fix plus or another similar setting spray. (I would suggest putting the product on your brush first so as to not get moisture in the pan) but yeah, this highlighter is more of an illuminating powder. She likes a more "lit from within" glow anyway because her skin is extremely oily.

It's so refreshing to watch a youtuber prefer the subtle hint of highlight than those streaks of glitter everyone is doing now. this highlight trend in my opinion is getting a bit out of hand. just my personal preference where i like it to be natural looking.

That highlighter looks so cute! Most Too Faced products are super cute. I've only tried their eye primer and lip injection. I love how you zoom in on everything so we can see the product easily. The let's test videos from you are my faves.

I've watched other reviews and these can be blinding if you want them to be, Cassie just doesn't which is totally fine.
Hey guys, you know that higlight doesn't have to be BLINDING, right? I see it petfectly fine in the video, it's subtle and looks everyday-friendly. Not everyone wants to look like a disco ball (which is fine if you do, everyone is different and cool) and I'm glad there are highlighters out catering to different needs.
I LOVE blinded by the light. Everyone was so disappointed but if you use a dense brush (I use the elf studio flawless concealer brush) it looks SO pretty!!!! I'm happy you loved it!

Why is everyone complaining that they can't see the highlighter? It's obviously visible, just because Cassie doesn't want to smother her face in glitter like a lot of other beauty youtubers (no shade, I literally cover my face in highlighter), doesn't mean you have to be rude about it. People have different preferences when applying their OWN makeup, to their OWN faces. It's okay to have an opinion, but I really don't understand why people are so aggressive when commenting about it. Why does the amount of highlight she puts on her face anger you so much??

omg...I have medium deep skin and I lovvvve gold/champagne and pink highlighters. I want the Becca Opal highlighter but just for days where I'm wearing lots of silver and cool/silver toned blues. hope all is well doll! *hugs from California*

Michele Arnwine I own becca's champagne pop and it's gorgeous once I put it on but not even an hour later it's completely vanished. I have no idea how or where the product disappears to but it makes no sense because I have dry skin so usually product lasts a lot longer on my skin, but unfortunately this one isn't even worth it for me, and I've heard the same thing from others about the becca highlighters. It's a shame because they're so stunning when first applied but not worth $40 if my $3 Essence highlight can last all day and look flawless too, ya know?

Sarah Kelley Ulta has two highlighters that are great. There's one that's super close to Champagne Pop and it lasts all day on me. I stopped using my Becca once I found the Ulta version 🙊
you definitely should include shade range. anyone medium down this will look pretty ashy and dark skin can't wear ANY of the ones offered.
omg I love your highlight testing videos so much!! Everyone else wants a completely blinding highlight and if it doesn't do that, they don't give it a good review, but you like it to be subtle but pretty and that's what I love!! I don't always want to be blinding everyone around me lol
I want this highlight SO BAD if only for the Sailor Moon-esque packaging! Too Faced truly nailed the aesthetic and I give them props for that. I am most attracted to the silver shade, but I am several shades darker than Cassie. Does anyone think that would work on a neutral toned, medium complexion? Thank you for making this review, Cassie! Hearing you talk about how the packaging made you think of sailor moon made me smile. I never personally watched it, but it just made me think of one of the youtubers I watch occasionally who lives in Japan and I remember there's this sailor moon eye liner. Or well several different versions depending on the lid topper thingy you want. Apparently a powder too, but prices veer into high end territory. Apparently there's some pokemon themed things too
Like a sheet mask pack (don't know if they're patterned or just have them on the packaging), hand cream, what I have to assume is moisturizer, cleanser ETC ETC. You never know what you'd find on amazon.

The packaging has me screaming!!! it's so pretty. I need this in my life. I don't mind a subtle highlight, you can always intensify it by spritzing a brush with a little setting spray.

Guys, everyone has their own personal preference when it comes to makeup. The whole Jeffree Star Instagram Stripe of Highlight is cool and all, but not everyone likes it, including myself. I like how Cassie's highlight is different from all of the other youtubers who just pile the stuff on.
But also, its highlighter.

We probably feel that way because now we're so used to seeing the most dramatic, bright, over the top make up looks as being like "the norm". In real life it probably looks subtle to her.
Im a ghost and my highlight is always noticable on me if theres light because I know how to pick the right highlight, which brush to use and how to apply. I am pale af so I use mostly white highlights or off white highlights. Highlight should never be a stripe on your skin lol, just a noticeable sheen that is created when light catches the product.
I never really can tell if Cassie has highlight on or not either

I work at Sephora and when we had received the product I quickly opened it and fell in love with it because it reminded me of the Sailor Moon compact!! It's just so beautiful that I don't want to ruined it.
I think we all need to start a "Cassie made me buy it" series. I am currently getting ready while watching this and just used the Holika Holika BB cream, the Milk makeup Blur Stick, and the Sephora Cream Lipstain, which were all purchases after I watched your videos 😆
not sure what people are talking about, I can totally see the highlighter, and it looks beautiful! you can only see it when the light catches it, but thats what I personally like my highlighter to be. This is how most people wear their highlight in real life, people are just too used to seeing the over-done, photoshopped highlighter on instagram that looks like a stripe of sparkle haha. This is how I feel like highlighter is meant to be worn.

I get she likes a subtle highlight, but there's almost nothing there. The packaging is so pretty though. So sad that the actual performance of the product isn't as beautiful as the packaging.

I love this video!! I have been wanting to get a highlighter but don't want something so "bam in your face" just that soft glow. Your makeup is awesome.
So many people dislike this highlighter. The thing is, it's packed so hard into the pan, it's a gelish type, not a powder so people think the pigment is bad. The best way to apply is using a densely packed brush, no need to swirl the brush(there will be no kick up from it because it's a gelish type not powder), just take the brush and swipe back and forth a couple times and I promise it will pick up product...it kinda is meant to melt into the skin, but it won't blind the gods, it is a more subtle type but it is really pretty.

I have a couple highlighters that can be seen from the moon and I use my fingers to put those on very lightly!! HeeHee! I do have the Bobbie Brown shimmer brick in rose and it's very subtle!! I'm going to have to save up and buy this Too faced one the packaging is awesome and I like the color!! You mentioned that you didn't like your eye look but, I thought you looked awesome!! To be honest I might actually invest in this because the only highlighters I have are ULTRA BLINDING and recently I've kinda been rocking minimal makeup so this will be perfect. I also enjoy a subtle highlight. I'm really more of a "gently lit from within" kind of girl rather than a "blind them all" highlighter. I can definitely see the highlighter on your face. I don't care for this particular product for myself because I don't care for the glittery appearance and prefer a soft shimmer, but it looks nice on you.

Love your eye makeup today even though you sounded like you didn't. Also, I wanted to say I am so glad you have stayed filming your videos in your living quarters. I am so sick of seeing everybody switch to a backdrop when they are filming these days. I agree with one of your viewers when they said it is like being in a friends house when she watches you. I feel that way also. I heard one RUclipsr say that they do the backdrop so people don't get distracted with the background scenery while they are trying to promote a product or products. Me personally I never get distracted with what is in the background. I want to feel like I am visiting a friend and that she is sharing her new goodies with me. Please never change that. Hi. The brush that you are using to apply a highlight is not appropriate to emphasize the pigments of it. Please, use a small fluffy brush or a fan brush for a better result of application. Take care. I love your videos.

I love the gold one!!! I spray Primer Water on my brush before I dip into the highlighter! even after I wear it for 8+ hours, I STILL get compliments on it! Best Highlighter in my opinion!!!!

The plumper worked. Your lips do look fuller & I liked the color. The highlighter is gorgeous. And don't know if you've ever heard this for pimples, but I find that when I have myself a crater, a little bit (like a little bit on the tip of your finger) of antibacterial gel will kill it overnight. Or at least take most of the redness and bring it down some...keep posting. I luv a real woman with honest opinions

girl I bought that highlighter for the packaging too! I'm really glad it's not as intense as becca highlighters because I hate looking glittery. just wish there was a bit more colorshift in it.
I have tan skin, and I swatched the gold one in store yesterday. It's BEAUTIFUL! i even liked it more than the new Dior highlighters swatched. The too faced ones seemed to be less glitter, to me, than the Dior highlighters.
