    They scored 7 in the first inning, 13 for the game. Tyler’s birthday was 7/13. The last time a no hitter was pitched in California was 7/13/1991, the day Tyler was born

      Randy Randerson I think you mean combined no hitter. There was a no hitter in California earlier this season.

    • @SomebodyPickaName
      @SomebodyPickaName 5 лет назад +31

      June 28, 2008 against the Dodgers.....but the Angels lost 1-0. That was a combined no-hitter that I now realize doesn't count as a no-hitter because they didn't pitch the 9th inning, but then Jared Weaver threw a no-hitter in 2002 on his own. You're right though about a combined no-hitter in CA.

    As hard as it is when we lose someone, it's always incredible to see the effect it has on the league.
    In these moments, there aren't 30 teams, just one family. And we all mourn these losses together, as we're reminded how much the spirit of this game really means to us.
    Or y'know if you're wanting an even sappier cliche, how about:
    "We lost an Angel, but Heaven gained another."
    Something like that.
    Man, I'm gonna miss Tyler.

ANGELS pitchers Mark Langston and Mark Witt combined for a no hitter against Seattle in 1990,the Yankees Dwight Gooden did it in 96..why I bring the yanks into it is. RIParadise Skaggs. And prayers out to the angels. Respect to the mariners too. They could've beat out that last play, and didn't try any silly foolishness to break up the no hitter. They were swinging. Still respecting the pitchers and honoring Skaggs. I'm glad respect is still in the baseball world.

      Dude ur good. Humor and comedy is how alot of people deal with dark shit, some idiots get offended, fuck them, cope how you can, I'm the same way, I'm that guy that hopes on my funeral someone will give a eulogy that roasts the shit outta how fuckin fat I will no doubt be when I'm old. And ugly. And hope it helps someone. Plus it was fuckin funny I legit lol'd and I have always been a semi fan of Seattle back in the day not now but the 90s I watched em when my braves wasn't playing or Ryan wasn't on the mound. Because that man was a fuckin artist so I followed em.

    We need to have a conversation about opiate misuse in sports. Not to judge or condemn anyone, but to make sure that the people who need help, get the help they deserve without having to worry about their careers being affected by the disclosure of their struggles.
