Sounds like you are going to a place after 15 years. You don't feel nostalgic because you didn't live or work there but still, you were there back in the time and this truth gives you a weird feeling. You are noticing some changes, like, now there is better computers or dustbins place changed. You think about time and looking to the sky, you are seeing clouds passing with a terrifiying speed. But then your friends comes from back and says "What are you waiting for?" to you. You realize all that weird feeling is an illusion. :)
Finally a track with a good drop. Instead of snare drums, he used house music kicks a lot for this OST, unlike thr first Mirror's Edge. Imo it's made the drops worse. But sometimes it works well :)) Example: 6:53 edit: after 8:15 it's mediocre.
While I agree that its mediocre when listening to the game music on itself, you have to consider these tracks are made for a game where you are in constant movement: running, jumping, vaulting, wall jumping, sliding and grinding. If the music had a notorious drop on it and it didnt synched up with whats happening on screen, it would feel bad. Considering Catalyst is an open world game, its much harder to control what the player is meant to be doing. On the flipside, the og ME does drops a bit better because its level based and you can more accurately predict where the player is gonna be and make the music around that knowledge.
One of my favorite songs in the track
There's something about the little sound at around 1:50 that sounds really nice and soothing. Can't really explain why though.

Solar fields, what can I say? More OST's need this level of excellence.
9:00 wish it was longer.
