- 7/30/2019. Rust's Flying Service. DeHavilland DHC-2 Beaver float plane from Anchorage.
Captured the Beaver on approach to pick our party up at Windsong Wilderness Retreat, Twin Lakes Alaska. Never did get used to seeing these "birds" takeoff and land!
I never tire of watching videos of the Beaver. That is a fine example of the type.
So smooth, When you see a Pilot handle a floatplane like this, it seems like second nature. Of course being a Huge fan of the DHC-2 is a plus.
1 of Rust's flying service pilot's was a 747 freight captain. He said flying the DHC-2 was a dream!
Perfect Video , perfect Pilot!!
Skylane, Your are correct, I've never been on a flight so textbook.
sweet heel landing...
All you need for a good video. Perfect!
Jeremy, it was a life time adventure. Hope you get your shot!
Magnificent! Art in motion. Makes a guy want to pick up and become a bush pilot...So beautiful...
We enjoyed the in/out flights as much as our visit to Twin Lakes!
Perfect
wow.very nice
The pilot was an ex 747 cargo captain. We didn't feel the lake landing, a real pro.
@@lng2519 the beaver , flipping heck that is nice
I'm heading to the same place next week. Any last minute things one should know about staying at Windsong?
What a wonderful world! Glassy water landing?
Thanks for the note, Fabrizio. Our touch down landing and takeoff were text book. We never felt the floats hit the water. These bush pilots are so professional! I'm so lucky to have vacationed in Alaska!
