I texted this before but I stayed on a kibbutz for 4 months when I was 19 and when we boarded a plane to go back to the US I cried my eyes out. 25 years later when I was finally able to go back, I cried again when we got into the airport off the plane. I was home again! At the time, I had no idea that I had Jewish ancestry but my soul knew it! I hope you had a blessed time and that your soul was filled with living water. I am watching your video with tears in my eyes and a longing to return.

Shalom. I was in Israel in the late 90s before there was any intifada and had a wonderful experience touring all over with my friends who are residents of Petah Tikva. I was amazed at the abundance of the shooks (outside markets) and showed produce managers had American markets when I got home how great it was and I wish America could do something like that.
I rode the bus and different transportation by myself with no problem, exploring museums, and shops in Tel Aviv. i’m so happy you got to go there with your son and by the way you look fantastic😊❤️

Loved this video - makes me long to be in Israel again. I am so glad to see you soaking in all of the sights, sounds and flavors of Israel. The video from hostage square was so moving - especially the long table under the Sukkah for all of those held hostage. May HaShem see to their release speedily and soon.

You are so brave to take this trip but I can understand why. The sirens would have totally freaked me out. I was glad you included the footage of the Hostage Square. It was uncomfortable to look at but I didn't fast forward because it made me think again about how unfair and cruel that situation is. I have high hopes for things after January 20th. Hope Little Dude had a good time. Looking forward to your next video! xoxo

Oh how I wish to be back . Israel is always on my mind. I praise the Lord that you share your visit with us. We arrived late afternoon at Ben Gurion Airport., After checking in at the Hotel I left, by myself, and walked to the Beach, along the Beach, looked over the blue water toward Spain, collected shells and pebbles, could hardly believe that I was really in Israel. Unforgettable. Greetings from New Hampshire

First of all, a GIGANTIC MAZAL TOV! You made it to the Holy Land. ❤😊 and yes! I did go to Tel Aviv! Back in January 2020 for birthright:) We saw many parts of Israel, but in Tel Aviv specifically I remember having some FABULOUS hummus on the most pillowiest softest steamiest pita bread and if I had more time I would have loved to have gone to the beach there too! Jerusalem was my personal favorite city there, just SO much history baked into that city, but I also had a REALLY good time in the Dead Sea, Masada, and the desert space overall. ENJOY ENJOY ENJOY! I’m very happy for you.

I went in November 2022. I'm thankful that I got to go when I did, because I wouldn't want to go now. I had a feeling that things would blow up over there.
The plane ride is cool, that's neat about the videos your son can watch. I remember the plane ride being very unpleasant, but yes, we all clapped and applauded when the plane landed-- applauding the captain, as well as maybe, ourselves for making it!
My trip went to Jerusalem, not Tel Aviv, but I did go to Tel Aviv for a day to visit family. I saw the sea, and I went to Jaffa, so beautiful! I saw the sculpture of Jonah's whale. I went to the Machne Yehudah Shuk in Jerusalem. So nice. Reminded me of Pike's Place in Seattle or Reading Market in Philly.

Hi. I live in Israel and am so glad you were having a good time! A couple things. (1) Being in Jerusalem, I don't get to Tel Aviv that often and have never actually been to Hostage Square, so I'm grateful that you showed us that. It was educational for me too! (2) Indeed, if your building had been hit, God forbid, a safe room would not have helped. However, it does help when, for example, a missile is intercepted in the sky, and there is falling shrapnel. Safe rooms are designed to be safe from that. But no, not from a direct hit. For that you are better off in a bomb shelter, but there's no way to get from a 30th floor apartment to a bomb shelter in time, so you do what you can.

So glad to see you in the homeland. Glad you’re safe but like you said it is what they deal with every day. I did tear up with all the hostage places. They really do a great service to them with all the remembrances. I’m sorry you couldn’t go as a family but that is for future trips. Looking forward to all your cute scarves. I do want to visit. We live part time in Italy and leaving from there would be shorter and cheaper. Stay safe and thank you for this. I am so very happy you got to go with your son. Bless you. May HaShem keep you safe.

I’m glad you made it safely and that you are enjoying yourself and having time with family. It’s so touching to see the hostages posted and remembered and thought about and prayed about every day in so many public places. We in the United States really take our safety and General peace for granted. The vast majority of us do not face this kind of terror and strife on a daily basis. I think this country forgets how lucky we are, at least I think many of us forget how lucky we are.

So interesting to see how built up Tel Aviv is and especially the installation for the hostages. I have been in Tel aviv a little but mostly I stayed in the Ein Kerem section of Jerusalem on my multiple visits to Israel, and of course Jerusalem is ancient and built much differently! B’Nei brak is familiar as my favorite matzos are made there! And it is also mentioned in the Haggadah that I use for Pesach! So happy to see you are vlogging again !
