Astro's Playroom is, no joke, one of the best games in the system (PS5 exclusive). It is a very simple, short platformer; but it plays solidly and just has so much charm.
Astro’s Playroom is a very fun little romp. You should redownload it. It’s pretty short, you can get through the whole thing in about 2-3 hours. As you may have figured out the game is one big dedication to the history of PlayStation.
The Astro's Playroom soundtrack is so much fun, and this is definitely one of the top ones! It's a 3D platformer and each area of Astro's Playroom is themed around exploring the components of the PS5 itself (in this case, the PS5's GPU) and collecting pieces of Sony history. And yes, Astro is the closest we have to a mascot today, he's been in a couple of PS4/VR games before Playroom. As others have said, the biggest mistake every PS5 owner does is uninstall the game. PLEASE reinstall it and play it (it's permanently in your Library to redownload), you won't be disappointed!
Been telling people for a while: If you have a PS5, DO NOT SLEEP ON ASTRO! It's not just a tech demo, it's a proper, fun platformer game with tons of charme, collectables, references to PS history and a good Soundtrack! The idea is that the game takes place inside your PS5, so the stages are things like GPU Jungle, SSD speedway etc
This game was unexpected joy on the PS5. Not only is it an exceptional platformer, but it's also a massive nostalgia trip through the history of Playstation. I started playing it while waiting for Demon's Souls to install, and ended up playing it through to completion and getting the platinum trophy the next morning. It's a great little game and a fantastic demonstration of what the console and controller can do. Oh, and yes the rest of the soundtrack is fantastic!
Astro's Playroom is the most charming game on the PS5. It's short and sweet and absolutely worth playing. I listen to the soundtrack (composed by Kenneth C.M. Young, the composer of the PS VR predecessor, Astro Bot Rescue Mission) on a regular basis, especially when writing. This game would absolutely make a fun stream.
Astro's Playroom is an incredible showcase of what the PS5 controller can do but also a nostalgic ride through the history of PlayStation, backed by super solid platforming and mini-games. If you haven't yet added storage, the prices for M.2 SSD drives have dropped considerably so you can buy 1, 2, or even 3TB to stick into the SSD expansion slot on your PS5.

I've heard of this game and have seen some gameplay. I haven't heard any music though. That melody at the start sounds a lot like the one in Sonic 2's Sky Chase Zone. That bass is dope and the percussion gives this the jungle feel. The vocoder always reminds me of Eiffel 65; the solo is fun and reminds me a bit of Crash Bandicoot. There's some very pleasant chords here, a very nice song and I like it.
Astro's Playroom is a real game, it's relatively short but absolutely worth playing. It'll give you a real respect for how cool the dualsense is.

I'd love a longer version of it, it's a fantastic little game
@@varenoftatooine2393 do i have news for you
The fact the lyrics are a love song from the perspective of the PS5's GPU to the Player, lol
This comes for free with every PS5 and it's such a nostalgia trip.

Astro's Playroom is great and you can tell they had a lot of fun making this song 😂

The game is literally a tribute to all things playstation. It's a hoot just to look for all the references.

Follow Me (Into The Storm) is an absolute must listen from this game, it’s a great OST all round but this one is the standout for me
Kenneth C.M. Young really went all out on Astro’s Playroom and it shows

Given how much you enjoyed A Hat in Time, you might actually get a kick out of Astro's Playroom.
A very 90s sound, fitting for the nostalgia trip.
You have to listen to the SSD Song, is the best xd
Not gonna lie the whole OST goes pretty hard. :) But yeah ess ess dee is the best.
Astro's Playroom is a playable tech demo to show the capabilities of the new Dualsense controller. Otherwise it is a pretty fun platformer.
Playstation won this generation when this game released...with the ps5. Absolutely fantastic game
