    I am a new subscriber. Love the tutorial. I have a 15000 Eco Tank for sublimation, and I am considering getting another one for the eco solvent technique. Do you always have to use the same brand of ink like in sublimation? I've seen this ink on Amazon, but I am not sure if they are the correct ones. Do you have to add business edition to the silhouette cameo to be able to print and cut? Thanks for sharing, well explained and lots of useful information.

      @shirtzink6900  2 года назад +1

      Hey thanks for subscribing if you use a printer for a specific ink it is recommended that you keep using that kind of ink otherwise you’ll mess up your printer because the inks will mix and may not work properly

    Good video, thanks. How does Eco Solvent compare to DTF, the advantage I see is, that you don't need white ink as you are always have the white vinyl in the background. But two clear disadvantages are the need for weeding and an extra step and waste with the transfer paper. Are there any other major differences like in durability or something? Thanks 🙏

    off topic, question about the plotter. i don't own a cameo, i have a craft robo pro. does the cameo have a paper guide so that it feeds straight? if not, how do you put the sheet in straight? eyeball it? on my craft robo pro, there is no guide, you just slip the sheet under the rollers and are required to eyeball it. most of the time it isn't fed perfectly straight, it's at a slight tilt, and when it cuts, it doesn't cut perfectly around the design even with registration marks. it will have a bit of white vinyl on one side and cut into the design on the other side. if i do manage to feed the sheet perfectly straight (very rare), it does cut perfectly around the design. how can i fix this so it feeds perfectly every time?

    This is a great toutorial, and I think I want to do this, but I'm trying to figure out why eco-solvent is a better solution for this application than dye or pigment inks. Presumably because it's insoluable in water? If that is so, I'm also curious if you can use other types of vinyl. I want to be able to print on PVC vinyl in order to make weatherproof vinyl wraps. Would love to get your thoughts on this.

      Saturation is done in the Silhouette Studio Design software or whatever you’re using. If using SSDE he referenced where to do that from the side panel. There’s an option in printer settings but depends on the version of software you installed with the printer. I don’t use WiFi or “AirPrint” because it does allow you to access full printer features.

    How is the wash test, some say about 5 then fades?

      I’ve found if you wait 24 hours before washing it should last a good while I’ve got a shirt that’s at 20 washes and it’s starting to show some slight fading now.
