Would you happen to have any information about camping by Lake Spaulding? Love the video and feel inspired to make it our first winter backpacking trip in a few weeks but I'm having trouble looking for permitting info or campground reservations, thanks! Also, you think this is do-able with a pulk?

Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it. Heck yeah! Them winter trips are the best! You actually don't need a backcountry or wilderness permit here. Fire permit is required tho. Might be a level difficult with a pulk, depending on the snow level, there are couple of spots you have to kinda crawl under.

The reply is much appreciated! Thanks for the info, we’ve had to push our trip back until early March but should be headed out to Yosemite in a few days time, super stoked for that. Had one last question regarding lake Spaulding while I’m here, is a sno-park required or rather, what’s the parking situation like? Just on the side of the road by fuller lake? Again, much appreciated!

    Hello Eric
Me and my friend really enjoy your video can you please show us how to get there,do we need to book anything? Thank you so much.

Thank you! Appreciate it. Dispersed camping so no need to book anything, just need fire permits and check fire restrictions. It's off hwy 80 and then 20. Follow the link and hit the directions button. www.alltrails.com/trail/us/california/spaulding-lake-trail

    Fires are allowed?

This was filmed last January. Fortunately for us, there wasn't any fire restrictions at that time. Not sure about right now, have to check with the Forest Services.
