I've always wished to never get old. My wish didn't come true. But thanks to these shows (and RUclips), I still get to laugh like I did when I was younger! And THANKS TO Carol!
Hey, you're only as old as you feel. Seems to me you might be doing a bit better than some of these folks if you're still into the shows you used to like :D
I never considered myself a looker but people said I looked like Sandy Duncan or Carol. Back then. To me that’s a compliment. Because I always thought of myself as a ugly duckling especially the school I went to. Love these ladies and Vicki Lawrence. Watching them tonight. Maybe it was the redhair probably.
@@tessamohler3021 , hey, most guys like redheads. But when you're a teenager, everything which differentiates you significantly from most other people is usually something which embarrasses you, though it shouldn't.
Love this show when I was a kid ,now I still love it ,and I just love her ,and everybody that was on her show. One of the best shows around. Just wish there was something around like it now. Thank you for allowing me to watch this show again, I’ll keep watching.
It was one of the best or even the best episode. Carl Reiner was a treat to watch he seems so at ease with all of them, a good sport for Harvey they are perfect together. Glad to see they were friends. And Harvey with his Mother Marcus jewish accent when he supposed to be german. Priceless and so clumsy
I've always loved Harvey (except in Mama's House), but it's in watching again these 30 years later that I am enchanted by just how far he could be pushed to do comedy -- "I'm an ice cream cone!"
Oh how these brings back memories of my mama n daddy and us kids all set'n around the house up on the hill on springhill loop road in between Cushman and batesville Arkansas back in the summer of 80 somethin 🤣🤣🤣📺 RIParadise mama n daddy I surely do miss y'all and them days too 🥰❤📺
I remember watching Melba's show when I was a kid. She's energetic and spunky, and in her show she was adorable in a floppy, coltish way. Lots of personality. But her rendition of YGAF reminded me of what I thought back then, even as a kid: she's an OK singer. My goodness she was pitchy... But love you anyway, Melba! ❤️
Melba can really sing... but not on THIS night. Watch her sing "He Ain't Heavy, He's My Brother" on Ed Sullivan... and you can see what she can really do. ruclips.net/video/Qz27oLJhLwM/видео.html
Carol slapping Melba Moore even though it is a skit, these days Carol would have been sued for that. Times we are living in is just too damn sensitive, and ridiculous. So, Lots of true artist out there that are already censored before they start.

I think a mistake was made years ago claiming Melba Moore was born in Alabama.I just looked it up It was New York.I might be getting confused with another singer .
I didn’t like that version of You’ve Got a Friend. It was void of feeling. I’m sure she could have done a good job if she wasn’t trying to change it up so much. Too artsy. She’s beautiful though.
It was barely the 1970s, a simpler time? Definitely less enlightened. It was pretty rare to even see a male nurse back then. I try to take everything in context. But, speaking for the entire gay community 🙄 🤔 lol&jk, 93% of us would have laughed harder than the non gays, God love 'em. 😉🙃 I don't think we take things such as a campy nurse, as seriously as ppl think we do. You gotta be able to laugh at yourselves sometimes. It keeps you humble! Life's too serious to take it thusly.
Her performance does not justify her TIMELESS CLASSICS she has done in the disco genre. Helping her along was the TSOP. Not the neighborhood band, i can assure you.!!!
@@louisgonzalez8846 very well put. With an incredible voice and range like hers, here rendering here was dull and unimaginative. In fairness to her, so were these sketches.
Where have the past 50 years gone to ???
So good to watch these again !
That performance by Melba Moore was absolutely sensational.❤️
I thought it was weak.
It grew stronger, but it did start out as rather strained and weak.

"Terminal Hospital" and "The Plot to Hurt Hitler" make this one a keeper. Wonderful!
The writers of the skits are superb too.
OMG. The costumes are fantastic! They must have had a million-dollar budget.
Others have pointed this out, but my, Carol Burnett was a looker.

Bloopers at the end is the best! 😂😂
Love it. I'm back in the 70's.
Harvey was cracking up after he got the bomb out of the bag and showed it to us.

Standing ovation well deserved for Miss Melba Moore!!! Just the song I 🎵 needed to hear!!!
This episode aired November 29, 1972. I was probably the same age as that little girl who wanted Carol's autograph.😮💕
26:28 the chin kick was everything lol i loved that part 😅
Honestly, I never get tired of enjoying a good classic like this!

I watch her every night, only Carol and Vicky left now, Lyle died a couple of weeks
I meant year or year's ago
Truly a Timeless CLASS-ACT!!!
Great episode!🤣👍

I'm still waiting for the Storefront Hospital skit, and I won't rest til it's uploaded! XD
I know right! I love that sketch, it can be found on amazon, season 4 episode 10.
Excellent episode! I especially liked the duet btwn Carol and Melba, that was great and their costumes for that, wow!
Melba's voice is so smooth yet can be explosive. What a talent!

Melba Moore has a song called Falling. Check out the video and how long she holds a note, its pretty incredible.
WOW That Singer!!! WOW!!
As someone who was wants to be a writer, that sketch with Harvey as a writer was both hilarious and relatable 😂
The patient in the surgery sketch is the same guy who played Corporal Boyle on Gomer Pyle U.S.M.C. !!
Melba Moore is fantastic, but nobody does this rendition better than Carole King
They used to say "male nurse." Now we just say "nurse." Men make excellent nurses, just as women make excellent doctors. 😊
Melba Moore is so beautiful 😍❤️❤️🥰 love the performance too
Omg hilarious doctor skit.
Seems like life was one big party back then
**SWOON** Those silver shoes
Watching from Philippines
#ME TOO!
Melba JUST released a new albumn, 76 and still going strong!!
This one is great. 😂😂😂
Excellent! Funny.

Carrie always a hoot
" A doctor with reasonable rates."
After that big introduction and build up of Melba Moore, her performance of "You've Got a Friend" was quite underwhelming.
She was better in the Terminal Hospital skit
That is a kind way to put it.
Wonderful episode! I love Melba Moore!❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Agreed, what a voice!😊❤❤❤
Also loved her in the sketch!😂👍
#MelbaMoore ❤️🇱🇨!!!

Carol is so talented! Amazing
Is it possible that next time you add which year and/or month the episode comes from ??

I wonder if the mink coat is from Dicker and Dicker of Beverly Hills...
I wish they'd made Terminal Hospital into a running sketch.
I'd like to see Beyonce and Mariah Carey sing the duet.

I’ve always wondered… where are Carol’s autograph books today. Does anyone know?
There was a boxing sketch with Tim Conway or Harvey. Does anyone know what the episode was called?
I don't mind the commercial if it pays for the full show.
